Came back to go to the EDM Brunch show. The show is on the patio which is decorated in a tiki style. The heaters and enclosed patio make it comfortable in the winter. Our server was busy but attentive when she could be. More concerned with the tables ordering lots of drinks it seemed. The show was fun. More burlesque than drag but still fun. Lots of good music and the host was full of energy. I had the Monte Cristo and was very happy with it. I got the Daiquiri to drink and this was not what I expected. Flavor was ok. My husband and I had brunch at Dreamland on Sunday. We had an overall nice experience. Both the inside and patio were adorably decorated for the holidays, and the patio was comfortably warm. Our server was prompt, as was the food. The food was very tasty, but honestly really rich- I ended up taking the sausage out of my country benedict, and didn't feel my best afterwards. I think next time I would order something else, so that's on me, and honestly their happy hour menu looks really good, so I'd come back for that. read more

Of course, they serve food here and the menu has a selection of eye-catching entrees. Came here with my friend for his belated Birthday and he picked it out as we both were looking to try something new. We started off with the 'Mystery Unicorn cocktail', what is it? It's a mystery! It was sweet and strong, like a fruit punch, tequila concoction I'd make. They came in these title creature cups. After sipping on these we got to business. To start we split the Queso Mac & Cheese - Cavatappi pasta, velvety queso, a kick of Jalapeño and a sprinkle of crispy Panko. We added Short rib on top because you gotta. (Not really, at $6 extra, but it was good). This might've been the best thing we got though, the cheese was so melty with a little kick. I recommend as a shareable for 2 -3. Add Braised Short Rib got the 'Big Daddy Cluck' chicken sandwich - Brioche roll, fried chicken, bacon, jalapeño slaw, pimento cheese, for a side I kept it simple with Fries. The sandwich was good. Just the right amount of crunch, spice from the jalapeno flavor and tendernous. My friend got the shrimp & grits which cited as being flavorful as well. Everything was solid, but high. I've had many chicken sandwiches in my time, but this Daddy can't match them. Seattle Biscuit co. has one that blows it away for about the same price. The foods good, atmosphere and service check out but just didn't send me soaring for similar fare I've had. Still though I'd recommend but just watch out a couple drinks and an app and entree can fairly easily get you close to 3 - $$$'s quickly. I'd love to try happy hour here. read more

My colleagues come here quite a lot and finally dragged me here. It was better than I thought. Got here around 630pm on a Thursday. It started with 5 of us and then it ballooned to 15 people. We sat in the back which has one long table that fit 10 easily and the others stood or we rotated. I had the chicken and waffles but wished I order the big cluck sandwich because it was phenomenal looking and fit the huge appetite that I had going in. The waffle was a bit dry. And the chicken could have used more seasoning. I should have asked for more syrup or maybe hot sauce. I ordered the passionfruit old fashioned which was simply okay. A little bit to juice like for my tastebuds. It was the only drink in the menu that looked interesting. I stuck with beer the rest of the time to avoid disappointment. I had all local beers including a lager which was refreshing. Atmosphere and ambiance was legit though. It was a lot of lights and just gave a nice overall feeling. The waitress we had was on it. She had the bill sorted. She didn't freak out when there was a bunch of us. She was attentive and flying around. She alone made this experience enjoyable. read more

Happy hour is the place to be! Burger for $12 buckeroons? Honking plate of nachos? Crunchy wrap? The deals are great, and they have a great covered patio. Honestly a banging burger, not the hugest fan of the crunchy wrap, and the nachos do do the job. The covered patio offers natural light, heaters when cold, and is doggo friendly if that's your vibe. Every server I've had there has been super chatty, funny, and kind. I would 100% come from some solid food and good time. MB2 and I shared the mushroom scramble with hashbrowns and side salad, and the mortadella sandwich with a side of mac salad. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy and the mac salad was flavorful! My wife's delicious Monte Cristo (with frosted flake crust) was a welcome take on the classic, and somehow, thankfully, not overly sweet. Meanwhile, I had the Crunch Wrap Supreme, which looks almost exactly like the Taco Bell version, but with actual fresh ingredients, and no sawdust to be found! One of the best brunch items I've had in recent memory! Came here for weekend brunch at 1030am and was able to snag a table for 4 with no reservations. They allow dogs inside the restaurant which is super cool. I researched this place for chicken and waffles. I had an appointment nearby early in the morning. It was a great spot with lots of seating and a nice environment. I did get the chicken and waffles and my partner got pancakes with sausage and scrambled eggs . Both dishes were generous in proportion. I must say that I've never had such juicy fried chicken in my life and I've only had chicken waffles combo a couple times. The pepper jam was sweet with a slight heat behind and dipped in syrup was delightful. We had lots to take home and next time we are in the area fish and chips look awesome to try. Had a great time at Dreamland! Stopped over for brunch around 11:15 on a Sunday and were seated right away without a reservation (4 of us). All the employees were great and the Halloween decor was amazing! You can tell they don't spare any expense when it comes to decorating for the season. We got a biscuit to share and it was incredible! Soft and fluffy on the inside, with a nice crunch on the outside. The butter and jam made it a perfect sweet treat before our entrees. The highlight of this place is the restaurant itself which is funky and has an awesome vibe. Sadly I didn't go for their Saturday drag brunch (def still on my list) but glad I got to experience their Sunday brunch! First off, love the vibe here. It's so fun! The disco balls in the hallway are a fun photo opp and one I've seen all over social media. The service is also so nice! I normally always opt for things like biscuits and gravy or corned beef hash during brunch, so I was surprised that I ended up wanting the McDreamy (their take on a burger). It was so good! Packed full of flavor, lots of melted cheese, and the charred onion mayo was delicious. I got it with a side of fries, which were seasoned super well. The bar is super pretty and dreamy, with colorful lights throughout, a covered outside deck that reminds me of a pirate cove, and a crazy mirrored disco ball hallway to the bathroom. It's a beautiful and colorful venue for drag shows! (Also, I'm such a nerd, but the first thing I thought when I saw the outside area was "wow this would be great for an afternoon D&D session" or costume party lol) The menu is slightly tropical/Hawaiian themed and fun drinks. I ordered the kalua pork, which came with mac salad and a soft bun. Looking at the other reviews, it looks like I need to go back for the brunch! Dreamland is truly a dream! The salted caramel macchiato French toast is the most crispy outer shell with the softest doughy bread in the middle. The caramel sauce and giant plop of macchiato whip moves this dish to perfection. And the food is great, but the disco ball hallway to the restrooms is everything. I can't believe it's taken me so long to review Dreamland, since this is one of my favorite spots in Seattle. I first came in right before Halloween and just can't stay away. It's such a cute space, I love that it's pretty over the top but because of how bright it is it's not claustrophobic. Most of the bartenders and servers here are sweethearts and service is consistently fast. Food and drinks are absolutely the best part. Serving sizes are fantastic, nothing upsets me more than an entree that's $15-25 for like 1.5 oz of food, but the plates here are always more than enough. The Hawaiian lunch plate, shrimp & grits, and eggs benedict are my top favorites, I really want to try the infamous bowl at some point ASAP. You literally cannot go wrong with any of their drink options, if you have 3 or more people, definitely get one of the large format drinks! The tigersblood margarita and the seasonal mule with the pineapple ginger beer have been my favorites, but I have my eye on the passionfruit whiskey sour for next time. read more

Came in for the Halloween-themed Screamland last month, and it was a mixed bag. Ambiance: being greeted by two 12' skeletons flanking the check in desk was beyond awesome. The bar area was kitted out in all kinds of cute Halloween decor which was so great. It was crowded, but that was expected. The music was way too loud; you could barely hear the person next to you speak. I get that it was a party, but uf. Food: ordered the pimento cheese, because, cheese. It was pretty tasty. The fried saltines had a nice salty, spicy kick and the sausages were a great accompaniment. Drinks: I wanted to love the halloween themed drinks, but unfortunately it was style over substance.
