We've been to Bouchon bakery a few times now. There is usually always a line of people out the door past the sidewalk. Usually, it goes relatively fast if people know what to order. Once you get inside, you order at the display case. This recent trip, I noticed the prices have just gone up to $6.50 per large macaron. I enjoy their macarons; they are usually fresh and have good flavors. I recently tried a blueberry one, if you like more artificial blueberry you'll like it. I previously tried a gingerbread one and it was very strong on the ginger. The standard rotating flavors are good, but my favorite is salted caramel (which is not always there, sadly). I haven't tried the hot foods yet (sandwiches). Coffee is average. If you order those, you pay and then wait to get them. Otherwise, if you're just ordering pastries, you pay and get your goods immediately and you're on your way.
Bouchon Bakery is a bakery owned by the famous chef Thomas Keller, known for the legendary restaurant The French Laundry. It's located next to Bouchon Bistro where we wanted to go for lunch, but they couldn't accommodate our party of ten even with split tables. Because of that, we went to the bakery instead. When we arrived at 11am there was a long line out the door. It moved pretty quickly and the food came out pretty quickly. I think it could've moved even quicker if there were menus earlier in the line so I knew exactly what I wanted ahead of time instead of figuring that out when it was my time to order. My favorites were the chocolate croissant, cream cheese danish, bacon cheese scone, and the raspberry macaron. There were a few tables outside but it's more of a casual stop for pastries and coffee than a sit down restaurant.
Highly popular bakery located in the Yountville/ Napa area. It's a small space and from what I know, there's always a line. But luckily, we were here at an odd hour on a weekday afternoon, and the line was minimal. The folks here were super friendly and helpful. I was here with my parents and they kind of knew what they wanted, but the folks are also kind of love us through some other options that we were interested in. For some of the basics, we got an epi baguette, a regular baguette, and I got some coffee. We picked up a few of the pastries to bring home some other family members as well. The place was beautiful and organized and so were the pastries. Everything was good. I had some of the baguette for the next day with some butter and some charcuterie meats for breakfast.
This review is for the baked goods, not the location itself. Is it worth visiting? I don't think so because Yountville is where now? They also close early on weekdays (3PM) and close at 6 PM on weekends. There also tends to be a long line. Plus, some popular items tend to run out! You would have to be super dedicated like my friend Eva to wake up at 5 AM to pick up two giant bags of baked goods for her friends. The online menu is different from what they offer on-site. I remember the website didn't have tomato soup, but it was on the physical menu.
Saw on social media that when in Napa this should be on your list to stop. It's about 6 miles from central Napa a straight shot and very easy to get to. Nestled in the cute town of Yountville it's centrally located next two other places to eat and have coffee. There isn't an actual parking lot but we were able to find parking quickly on the street for free. As most of the other reviews mentioned. There was a long line to get in and place your order. I would say we were in line 40 minutes or so. It moved pretty quickly though. A lot of people were chatting with each other in line Once you make it inside irs small but filled with so many treats! We ordered a little of everything and it was all delicious! There isn't a place to eat inside so you just take it and maybe put in the oven or microwave for a few seconds just to get it warm. My fav was the danish with raspberry and cream cheese! You can order coffee too if you would like. Definitely make the trip, we went around 6pm and they were still packed so can't say there's a good time to go just be patient!
Was in Yountville for their Art Walk, decided to try this bakery after all the hype. Food was nothing spectacular for the price and reputation (I've had better baked goods at down-to-earth bakeshops). I ordered the following: Chocolate-almond croissant:3/5 Ham & cheese baguette: 3/5 Place was clean, aesthetics were good. Staff who took my order wasn't friendly.
A must visit once you're in Yountville!!!! My bf and I got a plethora of different bakery items including the baguette, peanut butter sandwich, chocolate almond croissant, and lemon tart. Absolutely DELICIOUS. The baguette and their butter were my favorite part. (They make everything in house) Be prepared for at least a 20 min wait!!! But once you order, it's almost immediate!
Yummy pastries all around! Everything I tried hit the spot. I picked up four macarons (chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, and red velvet) and each one was perfectly balanced with a crisp shell and soft, flavorful center. The cream cheese danish was a standout--generously filled and rich without being overly sweet. The pistachio éclair was absolutely delectable, with a smooth, nutty cream that made it hard to share. I also grabbed the Better Nutter and the TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo), both of which were delicious and worth ordering again. The only item I wasn't too into was the Ohoh, though my niece loved it--so it really just comes down to personal taste. Service was friendly and efficient, even with the steady crowd. The bakery itself is pretty small, so expect a line that may stretch out the door, we waited about 15 minutes just to get inside. Still, definitely worth it for the quality of the pastries!
This adorable little gem in Yountville had a line stretching what felt like half a mile, and honestly? Worth every single step. We stopped in to see what all the buzz was about and left completely obsessed. Don't let the line intimidate you though, it moves surprisingly fast! The shop itself is tiny but mighty, and the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh breads and pastries hits you like a warm hug. Oh, and did we mention it's owned by the legendary Chef Thomas Keller? Yeah, that's reason enough to plant yourself in that line and not look back. I snagged the monkey bread, a blueberry muffin, and a pistachio macaroon, and friends, I have a pro tip: pop those pastries in the microwave for just a few seconds and prepare yourself for pure, warm, buttery greatness. Everything was delicious and perfectly balanced, not too sweet, just right. If you're in Yountville, this stop is non-negotiable!
For a quick and easy lunch in Yountville, I would reccomend Bouchon Bakery. I found this online while searching for a quick lunch in Napa to have in between wine tastings. When you walk up, you may find a long line of people waiting. However, Bouchon Bakery has partnerships with online food delivery apps, and you have the option to "pick-up" the order. I did this, and it allowed me to skip the entire line and just pick up my food. I would reccomend this method if you see a long line outside the bakery. The inside was extremely clean and the staff worked quickly so that the line would move forward. I ordered the Ham & Cheese Baguette and the TKO for dessert. The sandwich was cold, and still very tasty, however I wish there was an option where I could have had it heated. The TKO was almost like a soft order, and VERY yummy. The prices were extremely affordable and the service was great for pickup. If you are looking for a quick, affordable lunch in Yountville, I think this is an excellent option I would recommend!
Bouchon Bakery is always a must stop for friends, family, and me when we go to Napa. The line moved quickly and excellent staff took our orders and processed purchases professionally and swiftly, as always! Their Kouign Aman is my absolute fav, and I've had my share of Kouign Aman's from numerous bakeries. It's Bouchon Bakery's perfect blend of sweet, buttery, and flaky for me! I finally got to enjoy a Fuhgeddaboudit that my friends have raved about and I ended up devouring this chocolate, sea salt, and caramel Rice Krispies culinary art piece! I also picked up goodies of Netter Better, strawberry and chocolate Oh-Oh's, croissant, and oat meal pecan cookies to treat my family. I tried their cream cheese, flaky pastry, topped with powdered sugar and a cream cheese swirl. Its presentation and taste were exquisite! Until next time, Bouchon Bakery!

Service: despite the line, we ended getting served very quickly. Perfect spot to drop in and get a few items to go. Ambiance: super cute! Food: WOW. Definitely a must stop during a day trip to the Napa area. I wish I could've ordered everything on the menu. The place definitely lives up to the hype. I ordered: - a pistachio macaron which was out of this world and massive. One of the best I've had and I've been to France! I really wish I would've ordered more. - raspberry and almond cake pastry: sweet light and creamy - almond croissant: not overly sweet which was actually really nice! Very crunchy and fluffy even after eating it a few days later. (Just bake with small cup of water in toaster or microwave with a wet towel over) A must stop. Hopefully next time we'll get to try the bistro connected to the bakery. We'll be back! Until then I'll be dreaming of that pistachio macaron!

I love Bouchon! Whenever we are in the wine country area, I always make an effort to stop here. There's public lot directly across from the bakery but can get busy if you come on a weekend. Their macarons are so big and delicious, it's hard for me not to want to buy half a dozen just for myself. I especially enjoy the pistachio flavor, but have also gotten vanilla and passion fruit. read more

The thought of fresh baked breads and pastries can be an addiction because the French take baked breads very seriously according to my French teacher. She said if the bread is 3 days old then it's old. I stopped by and got in line and just wanted to see what's good. They have a lot of good items but we're a bit pricey. I mean it's pastries, always a good go to and delicious. I think for this small beautiful quite touristy town it's great. I was a very cute experience but with it's price point for just coffee and a pastries for two, $40-$70 without tip, depending on what you order just doesn't scream "I have to have this". A one time experience for me. My breakfast croissant was decent. It didn't make me swoon, but it fulfilled the need for breakfast. The Coffee and service wasn't my favorite. The one thing that I definitely will return for is the pistachio eclair. You can win me over with anything pistachio. read more
Today was a wild ride - we took an unplanned trip to Yountville. Our French Laundry reservation got cancelled (lol) , so #bouchonbakery saved the day. Logan loved the raspberry macaron! The sandwiches were delightful and the line moved quickly. Staff were super nice and the spot is cute. We had our wagon and had a picnic on the lawn across the street. As popular as ever, with long lines extending around the block, this continues to be on the must-visit list when in Napa(Yountville). A large selection of baked goods, sweet and savory - some to eat whole seated on their outside patio, the others to take home. Bouchon bakery lives up to the hype. We're on vacation in Napa, staying in Yontville. We went into the bakery for espresso drinks and something sweet. Amazing! Service was incredible and the TKO delicious. The white chocolate ganache inside the dark chocolate cookie was perfect. Melted you mouth. We had it with a cortado. Bouchon Bakery is one of those places where you don't need to overthink your order. I grabbed a plain butter croissant and a ham and cheese baguette sandwich and both were exactly what they should be. The croissant was light, flaky, and rich without being greasy. The sandwich was straightforward, great bread, good ham, melted cheese, and nothing extra getting in the way. There's something really satisfying about food that's done right. Had to make a stop here while in Yountville after our wine tasting nearby. The line was out the door, but it moves fast, so don't be deterred. All I wanted was their lemon meringue tart - my favorite. Sadly I saw someone take the last one and they turned the little sign around indicating they were out :( My heart broke a little lol It was almost our turn, and figured I'd ask if they were going to put more, but they beat me to it and a few minutes later, they brought a few more out and turned the little sign back around :) We also got: - TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo) -Oh oh (like a ho ho) -almond croissant -Lemon meringue tart -black coffee I like that they added a more official looking seating outside on the patio for Bakery guests. In previous visits, it looked like it was more for customers of the Bouchon restaurant (next door) , but I'd sit there anyways. But now it looks like it's intentionally for the bakery guests to sit and enjoy. Parking: We usually park in the lot across the street. I have a small sample size to base my stats on, but the few items we had were delicious. The toasted almond m croissant was smooth, flaky, and sweet. They were still a little warm, love that! I think we got lucky. The kouign-amann had great texture and just enough sweetness to match your coffee. And the macarons were light and fluffy. Lines get long because it's in the perfect walking location along Washington St to get a snack. read more
On our way back from Safari West we knew we had to go through Yountville again to get home. I was checking out the bakeries and saw that Bouchon Bakery had great reviews so I had to stop by and bring some goods home. It was crowded in the small bakery with lots of people but the line went fast. I didn't know what to get so I blindly got the monkey bread and the cream cheese Danish and waited to get home try with everyone else in my house. I tried the monkey bread first after microwaving it for 15 sec. The bread was soft and moist and sugar was very light..but so delicious. My daughter and partner loved it too! Then we tried the cream cheese danish...oh my goodness it was out of this world! Make you want to smack your lips and say yum. If I ever am going through yountville again. Took a day off of work to go into Napa. Went early in the morning - no line! This place always has a line so it was so nice to have a more relaxed experience. We were able to find seating on the patio as well. We had black coffees and I had a quiche and my husband had a breakfast sandwich in a croissant. My quiche was so jiggly and light!! This place has wonderful pastries. My friends and I stopped by on our way to a vineyard to grab some sweets. There was such a great assortment to choose from. Although there was a line outside, don't be fooled it moves very fast. I picked up a couple croissants, macarons, and a baguette. The price was decent. There's an outside patio in between the neighboring bistro and the bakery. We sat for a few moments in the sun, ate a croissant, then went on our way. Since Bouchon Bakery is run by Thomas Keller, the chef behind The French Laundry, I made a special stop when visiting Napa--mainly for the desserts. The shop is small and there's almost always a line, but it moves quickly. And once you see the neatly arranged pastries inside, you'll feel the wait was worth it. This visit, I focused entirely on desserts: croissants, cream puffs, tarts, and of course, the must-try macarons. Overall, everything lived up to the reputation. The flavors are noticeably more refined and layered than what you'd expect from a typical tourist-area bakery. The macarons deserve their own mention--they were one of the highlights. The shell is thin and crisp, breaking easily with a bite, while the filling is soft without being mushy. The sweetness is cleaner than most macarons, never cloying, and each flavor is distinct instead of just being different colors. They're the kind you intend to buy "just two," then end up going back for a whole box. If you visit Bouchon Bakery, don't skip these. The croissant is another standout. This place is coming up on almost 4000 reviews, which comes as no surprise since it's tied to a Michelin chef in a popular place. Thankfully, the shade trees next to the street keep the sun from cooking you while you're in line. It took about 30 minutes with almost 30 people in line to make it to the counter. They do have a few drink choices, or you can grab a cup of tapwater (no ice). After trying everything we bought, it was obvious why people come here and shell out the money. Bouchon Bakery is a must stop destination in wine country. It's always busy because of their popularity and renown exquisite taste, so expect a long line and yes, it's worth it. They do offer a menu of pastries, sandwiches, and desserts along with some seasonal changes. Prices are very reasonable for a high quality establishment; but be careful, you'll end of ordering more than you initially expected and all the food quickly adds up. Everything tasted better than anticipated: eggs were fluffy, pumpkin was creamy, and I kept wanting one more bite of macarons. Their staff was friendly and I didn't feel rushed in picking out menu items. They had ample staff so the line moved quicker than expected. Parking is limited around the busy street so expect to walk. Thankfully, there are parking lots nearby that might have space, be patient. They have seating between the bakery and restaurant and in the middle of winter, I did appreciate the warm lamps above the umbrella covered tables. Everyone kept talking about this bakery and so during our Napa Valley weekend trip, it was obligatory to stop by. There was about a line of 10 people and it went by quickly. We had the macarons, lemon tart, croissants, ham and cheese croissant, etc etc. Everything was so flaky fresh and delicious. This will be another must whenever we visit the area! read more

Bouchon Bakery is a charming French bakery in Yountville. This is a charming small bakery with savory sandwiches, croissants and other pastry items, and desserts for those with a sweet tooth. They also have coffee. Pros: *Large variety of items. *Their macaroons are delicious. *All items taste amazing! *This place and all of Yountville has an upscale charm to it. Cons: *The line can be long so expect this if you are coming in the morning on a weekend. Going on a week day is better or during off hours. *There is no seating inside. *The items are pricey, although all of Yountville is pricey so I guess this to be expected that items will be more because of it. read more

Very Very Very Good! I received these bakery items as a part of a Welcome To Yountville Treat and it didn't disappoint! The brownie bites were chocolatey heaven! The caramel popcorn was a sweet and savory combo along with their take on a chocolate rice crispy treat! read more
This is my must stop bakery whenever I am in the Napa area. While they continue to have wonderful and yummy baked goods, I was disapoointed by the Almond croissants. This was my fav item to get but in the last couple of visits, the almond croissant was too dry and too crunchy! I love their blueberry muffins and the plain croissants. Both absolutely delicious. On this visit, I got the almond croissant , plain croissant, blueberry muffins and the vanilla scone . All 3 were good and I would definitely recommend. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. First time visiting and it was lovely. Very small and busy storefront. The line may look long but it goes by. Lots of different baked goods to choose from! We tried the scone, chocolate croissant, regular croissant, epi baguette, and the beef bourguinon hand pie. Hands down the hand pie was the best, pretty pricey for $15 but if you're willing to splurge it is the most savory warm meaty hand pie to eat. It's a little hidden in the display but still so good! There's outdoor seating but can fill up fast. I recommend walking around the area and finding a bench to eat at as a backup. Overall cute bakery and would go back if in the area! read more

Heard so much about this place. Long lines and good pastries so I have to give it a try. Hate to say this but I'm a bit disappointed on some of the items I bought. This place is a small bakery and they do not have a lot of selections available Had the smoked salmon with egg salad sandwich, almond croissant, cheese bun, and cream cheese pastry Not a fan of the thick bread with one thinly slice of smoked salmon layer. It felt short of lettuce and no tomatoes. Almond croissant loaded with almond paste inside. It was a heavy croissant and it was good. Cheese bread lack of cheese. I did not enjoy it. Feels like just a bread. Wished they have cheese inside the bread Cream cheese pasty was good and loads of cream cheese in the middle. read more

The experience is just so rushed I didn't have time to properly look at what I want and decide what I want. Service is wonderful and staff is so friendly and nice but it's just soooooo rushed. The line looks long and is long. But it moves fast and way too fast. I felt an immense anxiety to make decisions FAST! It's a very efficient streaming line of ordering. Which I understand. They are very famous and have a lot of visitors. This is a way to make the line move and not have people wait long. Out of panic I ordered: Chocolate croissant: not crispy on the outside but has good layers. Personally don't prefer it. Won't buy again. Butter croissant: better texture. A little crisp on the outside and good soft layers Chocolate eclair: good choux puff and the chocolate cream is smooth and so good. Will definitely buy again Chocolate bar: really good chocolate I probably will try something else next time. Perhaps I didn't order what they are known for this time. The packing if really neat and pretty. As for the shop. It is small but packed with pastries, breads and a cold pastry case. The overall experience is good but so stressful haha. read more

I've been to Bouchon Bakery a few times after enjoying some wineries in the area. There's always a line, but it moves really quickly so don't be discouraged. This time, we got the eclair and mini macaron gift box to sample all their flavors. My personal favorite was the pistachio, but the other flavors were pretty good too. The eclair was a bit too sweet in my opinion, but I can see how it would be appealing to the right palette. Next time, I would definitely try more of their pastries - we were just so full from lunch and had limited stomach space. Downtown Yountville is great to walk just around and relax, so I'd recommend coming to the area regardless! read more
