Spanish octopus, deviled eggs and candied bacon starters.
    Bre R.

Beautiful space and we had good service. We were there Saturday for the brunch. Food is Lebanese influenced and so good. Cocktails and mocktails both beautiful & tasty. Recommend- -Candied Bacon starter. (It's candy) -Lemon ricotta pancakes yum. -Smoked deviled eggs - Spanish octopus on eggplant mole. Amazing. - Shakshuka - definitely delicious and a shareable entree. The prosciutto pizza was good but next time will try a more authentic Lebanese option like Lamb Manoushe. Oh don't forget to tour the unique restrooms. Very Bougie !!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A really beautiful spot tucked away near Serra Mesa! This would be a wonderful date night spot as the ambiance was very classy and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was really nice and warm, no notes on the service. If you like Mediterranean food this spot is worth checking out.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was lovely. Clean, minimalist and in a random location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But who cares. Plenty of parking. They give you fingertips towelettes with your silverware. Excellent touch. And 10 star service. I loved it. They were so attentive but not annoyingly so. All these reasons are why they got 4 stars. Ooh one more reason. The harissa aioli and the fries are amazing. That sauce is killer. Spicy yet flavorful and went PERFECTLY with the fries. Okay let's talk about the wings. And I know nobody is reading these reviews except for other readers. But BM, please read. The wings are completely flavorless under the skin. Bland. Meaty. Maybe soak them in a brine or something before you fry them. They smell so much better than they taste. I will be back to try other things. But not too many gluten free options.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat in the patio in the evening on a hot day and was nice and cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was a little all over the place, we had 3 different servers in the beginning - one who said she would lower the blinds but didn't, another one who came by to say we may not have looked at the menu yet because we sat down, but we had been sitting for at least 20min at that point, and another one who said our appetizers would come first but all our entrees ended up coming out first. Food was excellent though so overall still a great experience. Bonus points for floor to ceiling bathrooms with bidets

This place is a hidden gem, and would get much more attention if located downtown or in a more coastal area. The inside is decorated extensively and is wide and expansive. They have brunch and dinner options, and I'm looking to explore both. The brunch options were delicious, and would definitely fill you up. Service was quick and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks for a restaurant off the beaten path.

Great food with a nice twist. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fancy enough for a date spot, but low key enough to not have to be dressed up to eat here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

TLDR One of the strangest places in the best way. Delicious modern takes on pan- Mediterranean cuisine served in a beautiful, spacious yet intimate, dining area. But it's in th middle of a residential/industrial area off the Kearny Mesa area. Don't let the location fool you, this is some must have eats, especially the chicken wings Boujie mana looks the part. A modern spacious design with few tables serves modern takes on Mediterranean cuisine. Service is attentive and well versed in the menu. The prices are a premium scale, portions very from small to large (pretty variable depending on the dish). Ambience 7/10. Service 8/10. Price 6/10 Iced tea service Pretty good quality loose leaf tea served in classy glassy's. Tea is served with honey, single package sweeteners, and lemon. You probably get 3-5 glasses out of the pitcher. We ordered ginger peach and spicy ginger and a light floral white peach can both be tasted. $15 is steep though. $10 would get me more excited. 6/10 Deviled eggs Smoked eggs, crispy prosciutto, salsa verde, and pickled jalapeño. This is one step away from being a great dish to me but the idea is very enticing. The salsa verde is european style, more like a chimichuri of aromatics chopped and tossed in oil and citrus. The crispy prosciutto is accented by smoke, bringing notes of bacon. But the dish lacks a punch of brightness to me, the pickled jalapeño isn't quite enough to cut through. I may be critical but this is $10 for 2 eggs ultimately (4 halves). 6/10 Taboulleh This one is classically prepared and unapologetic. Distinct mint, parsley, acid, olive oil, and salt. Delicious. 7/10 Fries Fluffy with a nice snap, but wouldn't say crispy. That's the way I like them. The harissa sauce is a spiced mayo and is a great vehicle. Truffle oil is probably a bad idea, got in the way of the harissa. Pretty good but also very standard 6/10 Falafel Ok this one I need to put a caveat. We were charged $15 but I'm pretty sure we were given the sandwich item not the appetizer. It came in a pita and had fries. It is delicious and a generous portion but normally the sandwich portion is $20 it seems. The falafel are perfectly made: no grease makes into the interior, chic pea is clear, herbaceous, and full of spice. Pickles served on top are bright and sweet. A delicious sandwich. 8/10 Crispy chicken wings Absolutely delicious! To the best of my tasting, there's at least zaatar and harissa that cost the wings wonderfully. These bad boys are crispy and juicy too. They sit on top of a thick and creamy labneh that is tart and balanced as a perfect complement to the heavier wings. I'd come back for these 9.5/10 Roasted octopus. Nicely composed dish with a creamy sauce base (I think sesame based) pistachio rich salsa verde, and charred octopus. It's cooked well, with some bits charred to crisp and others left nice and succulent. But nothing burnt and nothing chewy. Very well made but just a touch salty. 8/10 Boujie prosciutto salad Tasty salad that reminds me of Caesar salad. Nice two shot of savory flavors between salty prosciutto and briny anchovies. Citrus is a nice counterpoint to these heavier flavors. 7/10 Definitely a good place for a nice lunch and I'd be curious to try what they have for dinner, especially spying their dry aging set up. Also curious to see what they do behind the bar. But expect to pay for what you're getting!

Unassuming yet modern and stylish spot, tucked away within industrial business larks and a giant apartment complex. Our service Hannah was very friendly and helpful with drink recommendations. The cocktails sounded nice but I opted for wine. I wish they had more of a selection available for glasses of wine, but the wines I tried were good. The food was phenomenal. Hummus and pita - the pura was fresh and airy, hummus had a chili oil on it which was a fun twist. Citrus salad was one of my favorites - the grapefruit was sweet and a lovely refreshing balance with the greens and garnish. Stuffed sole was tasty as well, fish had nice flavor and the stuffing was not too overpowering. The pesto and potato pizza was a standout - wasn't entirely sure what it was when we ordered it, but the crust was crispy, bottom nicely charred, and the pesto was so fresh and delicious. For dressert, we tried the donut holes and pistachio gelato. The pistachio gelato was incredible and I might have to come back just for that. Rich roasted flavor and so creamy!

It was a great time at BoujieMana! They're tucked away and you wouldn't expect to walk in to such a pretty interior. It's elevated and perfect for a date night. They have a dog friendly patio which we were very happy about and a decent amount of tables outside (with a cover & heaters), and plenty of parking in the lot. Onto the food!! We looved the hummus and pita, it was my favorite along with the chicken wings. They were extra crunchy. Didn't get a picture of the herb coated wings, but thooose were the most flavorful!!! (Ask for their chili oil on the side & thank me later!) Our server was great & very timely!! Would go back if I was in that area :)

Date of Visit: 2.21.2026 Location: Tucked kinda randomly past some commercial/residential buildings Cuisine Type: New American Vibe: Bougie kinda in the name, low yellow lighting, fancy bathrooms, $$-$$$ kinda spot Cost: Assuming one entree, depending on what you order you can spend $35 - $120 Service: Solid, Friendly Staff, I never had to ask for water We had a party of 20 and this is one of the few spots that doesn't require a per person minimum which was really nice. Most other places asks for $75-$100/ person minimums...more power to them if they can fill their seats with those clientele but that policy is just weird Food/Rating: The Duck - 3/5 - I like to explore food so when I saw an unique dish (also most popular dish) I want to try it. It comes with a hefty price tag but whatever. I prefer duck with crispy skin and fat mostly rendered. Also whenever I am spending $$$ on an item I have higher expectations in general. With all of this said I would say this 15 day dry aged duck was kinda disappointing especially from the cook. I don't like just how much fat is left on the duck, the non-crispy skin. It tastes like ham. I feel like the other elements are nice (salad and pear...much needed). There are too many sweet elements (sauces) on this plate it is missing acid and missing something substantial (carbs?) to complete it as an individual dish. It is visually pretty and grand but I really care about the food. Wings/ Labneh - 5/5 - This was crispy, creamy, and got tons of flavor (Spice/Herbs)...This will go really well with the pizza Pizza - 4/5 - Fire oven pizza you can see the char marks (Crunchy and soft) Great for mopping up all the sauce from the wings. Overall Thoughts: Best Thing I ate: Wings/ Labneh - It was a pretty balanced dish Something to Improve: The Duck - If you are spending 15 days to age this spend another hr or two to render the fat more. You already have an amazing product just a bit more effort will round out the dish and make it better. Also if you want to make it a stand alone dish maybe add some pita with the same dough from the pizza or something to cut the fattiness and accompany the rich/sweet duck...

    Smoked salmon & pita

Came here for valentine's day and very glad we did! The server Ashlyn was very nice and knew her dishes, because she too loves eating at this restaurant which is always a good sign. We first started with the smoked salmon & pita, which has solid quality dough for the pita. We next devoured the lemon ricotta pancakes which had oranges on top which added a nice tangy flavor to accent the sweetness behind the pancake base. The harissa benedict I had bigger hopes for. It was definitely yummy and something I would get again but I think I expected more harissa then I thought. I also was expecting the benedict to be with an english muffin instead of a slice of bread. However, I experienced the best crispy small baked/fried potatoes I've ever had in my life! I would literally come back here just for those potatoes. There was a solid crunch to them that was so satisfying you couldn't just eat half of it. I ate those potatoes whole! The restaurant owner was nice enough to provide everyone dining in a complimentary free custard dessert and a chocolate fountain to cover the strawberries for Valentine's day. They also had a fun valentine's themed photobooth in their adjacent private space which was super unique and a first time experience at any restaurant I've been too. I will definitely come back here again.

This is my third visit, parking is hit or miss because it's in a business area. We were fortunate to get a spot right in front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is beautiful, and plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is excellent!!! Have to always get the wood fired pita and hummus! Love the chicken, steak and shrimp!!! Service is always welcoming too!

Talk about a treat discovering this place. The inside is exceptional, you can tell they spared no expense in the design from floor to ceiling. The food was excellent, one flavorful meal after another and not one item was a dud. The service was also outstanding, this place hit on all fronts and was not too costly. Well done.

And the way that Luca interacted with all of his customers- amazing! Our family felt as though we knew him forever. The appetizer and salad were very good. We came across Nonna's, and since I had always wanted to try it, we decided to give it a chance. The hostess was very sweet and seated us quickly, which was a great start. We ordered the calamari and two pasta dishes--one with truffle mushroom sauce and the other with braised pork. The calamari was okay, but it mostly tasted like breading and didn't have much flavor beyond that. The truffle mushroom pasta had a good sauce, but the pasta itself was very bland. Honestly, the pasta tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store and heat up at home. My boyfriend's pasta was okay as well, but neither of us felt like the dishes had much flavor, and the portions were on the smaller side. Unfortunately, the service was probably the biggest disappointment of the night. Our waiter came over, dropped off the water, and shortly after came back to take our order. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so we were surprised by how unfriendly and rushed he seemed. There was no smile, no attempt at conversation, or even a general sense of warmth. What really stood out to me, though, was watching him interact with another couple who were seated outside on the patio. He was completely different with them--smiling, laughing, chatting, and being very personable. At one point, my boyfriend politely asked if he could order a whiskey sour. When the waiter brought the drink, he literally slammed it down on our table, which honestly caught both of us off guard. I then watched him bring the other couple two glasses of wine, gently place them on their table, and do so with a smile. After that, the only other time he came back to our table was to rush us to take our plates. I completely understand that everyone has bad days, and I'm not someone who expects over-the-top service but I have worked in the food industry myself for many years so I do expect at least basic friendliness and hospitality--especially when you can clearly see that the same server is capable of providing it to other guests. For reference, our waiter was bald and wore glasses. He never told us his name. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try Nonna's, but unfortunately, neither the food nor the service left us wanting to come back. There are so many other restaurants with better food, portions, and hospitality that I would personally choose somewhere else for our next special occasion.

Our waiter was so personable and had all the answers to our inquiries. He suggested items and even answered honestly when needed. I got a Le Pécora Nera Sangria (fizzy blackberry with lemon). Tasty, but too many blackberry seeds coming up the straw. I'd get another one next time. For the appetizers: RISOTTO ARANCINI (a MUST get) - these were absolutely delicious. Four good size bread crumbed fried balls of risotto sitting in the restaurant's own tomato gravy. HOMEMADE FOCACCIA WITH DIPPING OIL (yes, that's the official name) - this is a basket of super soft, warm focaccia bread for a great price. I would get it no matter what main course you're getting! It soaks up every sauce and it's just delicious. MAIN: BAKED LASAGNA (meat) - with the two appetizers this is the perfect size for both of us. No need to get one per person! It was absolutely wonderful. I would get it again. All in all, I'd definitely go back. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful and the employees we came in contact with were great as well. We didn't want to sit at a table right next to the hundreds of people walking by, I don't like that, but there are plenty other options one row in or inside the restaurant. A solid recommendation on my part.

Meatballs (6/10): these were ok, they were very dense. I think it was a mixture of flour + meat. Came with 3 large meatballs. Prob wouldn't get again La pecora nera spritz (6/10): labeled as the black sheep & standout drink on their menu but I personally didn't think there was anything too unique about it. I did like the blackberry puree though Limone lampone (9.5/10): this was sooooo good. Sweeter than the La pecora nera & I loved how sweet and tart it was! I'd get this again Overall good place for HH I'd come back!!

He told me that they'd send it to the table and tell them it was from me, but it was on the house. What a great experience. Love this place and their food!!!

It's right in the heart of Little Italy on India Street in between all of the other wonderful Italian restaurants. When we walked up. They have patio seating as well as inside dining. We decided to do inside dining as it was starting to get chilly outside. We were immediately seated by a wonderful hostess, and that made a positive impression upon us. The whole hostess staff had great smiles on their faces and they were very welcoming. After about two minutes of sitting down, our server came to ask us if we needed time to look over the menu. We said yes but that we wanted a Foccacia Bread table starter. She smiled and immediately went to put the order in. A few few minutes later she came back and we ordered our drinks for dinner: Raspberry Italian Soda, Orange Crush with Fresh Cream on top, and a non-alcoholic spritz. After we got our drinks and sip on them, it took us a bit of time to decide what we wanted. We all know that the burger here is fantastic! However, this evening, we decided to try new things. We ordered: Pappardelle Bolognese with Added Meatballs, Pappardelle Bolognese as it is normally prepared, and a Caesar salad with shrimp added. Our food was out within about 10 to 15 minutes and everything was prepared perfectly. I have to say that we really enjoyed dining in this location and we may need to come back here more instead of traveling to the Del Mar location sometimes. Our server was super customer service oriented and we appreciated her. She went above and beyond to get the orange crush drink to be unique like an Italian soda for my daughter. We were super stuffed and could not do dessert, but we did promise to come back to enjoy the lava cake at a future time. Overall, this was an excellent visit and we appreciate the staff in the great energy that we received at this location. I do highly recommend it.
