Boulder Creek is one of the best places to eat in Brownsburg. The bar menu is fully stocked with fun options and the appetizers are unique. The menu is slotted with multiple options that include standard favorites and specialty items. Your steak will be temperature-correct and your martini will not be measured. Those are very important checklist items for me! The dining room is solidly assembled making sure your dinner is private while still being associated with the group atmosphere. Hosts are well informed of items on the menu and take care of the front end nicely. We have had the pleasure of meeting many of the servers and all were a solid representation of Cunningham excellence. One area of opportunity is the men's restroom. Only one stall for a large size eatery is a bit odd. You will find parking is easy to find and the outdoor dining options are wonderful on a nice day! Brunch menu on Sunday is STELLAR! A Cunningham Restaurant Group, Boulder Creek was an easy choice for a first sit-down meal back now that restaurants have started to re-open. Staff and servers were fantastic, and the restaurant had plenty of measures in place to ensure safe dining. Tables spread six feet apart, servers wearing masks, gloves when serving food, and plenty of hand sanitizer to be found. Additionally, the option to view the menu in restaurant or on mobile was an awesome touch. You're able to scan a barcode and pull the menu right up on your phone. As for the meal, it was just as good as the last time, and any time, I've visited a Cunningham location. I opted for a side salad (which was HUGE) and the margarita pizza. Overall, the meal was great, our server was fantastic, and I am looking forward to heading back! read more

I hate writing reviews that are negative but it took me a few days to find something good about their food. The only thing that was good was the salad that accompanied the calamari, that was it ‍. It was dead on a Friday night. There were a few couples in there. Didn't think anything of it because the boom hasn't really happened in Brownsburg yet. What I will say positive is that the staff was nice and the decor fit the theme. Not sure if chains put their subpar places in Brownsburg thinking people don't have tastebuds out here but I haven't eaten (or been referred to) at one good spot yet ‍. I'm at a point in my life where if something is not good I won't eat it. I'll just go without. One thing that surprised me was that I sent back a full plate after telling her I didn't like it and no one (I'm thinking a manager or chef) came out to see what was the problem. FYI: we still paid for everything we ordered and we didn't ask for any type of refund... just to be clear. The running theme of EVERYTHING we had (with the exception of the walleye) was oil. Oil was over used and I'm not sure if the calamari was suppose to be a play on a bang bang shrimp Aeoli but when you chewed it it was like burst of oil in your mouth. Too much oil on the bread, no herbs in our dipping oil, green beans... oily. I tried to put my fork in my mash potatoes and I picked up the whole scoop. ‍ SMH The meatloaf was absolutely disrespectful. Not sure how that's even approved to be sent out. The walleye was edible but everything reminded us of prepackaged food that's served in chain restaurants. My martini: too syrupy, it tasted like Vick's cough syrup. I could go on and on but we just went home after that experience. Hopefully they will change some things and make things better. It's in a great location. This place is always solid. We love the bread and dipping sauce and the salads and dressings are just delicious. The portion sizes are large and I love that I get to take some home and enjoy the next day as well! I've visited Boulder Creek several times over the years and it's normally pretty good. This time everything was just kind of average. We went for Easter and it was kind of odd that they were out of Easter special early. Not a problem as there are plenty of options. We always get the calamari appetizer but this time it was over cooked and maybe a bit freezer burnt as it just had that odd taste. I had the salmon and asparagus which was good. The salmon was blackened and had a nice flavor. My friend had the Meatloaf which she enjoyed. One thing was that the food could have been warmer. We were told the plates would be hot so be careful touching but not sure how then the food can be lukewarm. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. We had to ask about a dessert menu. It wasn't very busy while we were there so maybe this was just an off day. read more

We recently had a birthday dinner at Bolder Creek for our 5 year old granddaughter, who has 100% hearing loss in her left ear. The restaurant learned of her hearing loss, only a few days before, at the same time we made the reservation. They asked a question other restaurants simply do not ask. They asked, "so, tell us a bit about the birthday girl". It was at this point we truly felt like a name and not just a number. What happened next was the most incredible response that we have ever experienced at any restaurant. Ever! We cant explain and probably shouldn't. They truly went out of their way! Outstanding dinner service this past week with excellent food. The dining room is dimly lit and rustic with murals of mountain "views". There's a bar area and a family room for gatherings. We went for my boyfriend's birthday. We tried the complimentary bread and oil - it was just ok. But our meal was delicious! I had the filet medallions with crab over mashed potatoes with asparagus. I failed to see mashed potatoes in the menu so when it came I was like oh this is weird...seafood and mashed potatoes?! But trust me: the combo with the sauce the pour over top works perfectly . It was a very good meal. My boyfriend had a big, juicy ribeye. The quality of beef they serve is better than average restaurant fare so he was pleased. He had the seasoned broccoli and wedges. The broccoli was under seasoned, so just a warning to ask for salt and pepper. We'll definitely be back again! read more

They say a picture says 1000 words and I'll certainly let my before and after photos do most of my talking for me, but to sum it up, I'm not sure what is happening with food In Indianapolis that this place has garnered 4.7 stars on Google. It's a 3.5 at best. I ordered the Smothered Chicken, which is clearly an homage to Outback's Alice Springs Chicken, and if that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend sticking with the chain eatery - the portion size is better, the cost is decidedly less, and star ingredients such as bacon are in much greater supply. I paired it with the lemon-chive buttered broccoli, which is really just broccoli (no lemon, nary a chive, nor a wayward pat of butter ever passed within a mile of the florets on my plate), and French fries, which, simply put, aren't worth the calories. I topped the meal off with an overly-priced and underwhelming charred and lumpy crème brûlée, the best part of which was the vanilla bean whipped cream on the side and the strawberries, which I had to request. The total bill, which included a single cocktail, came to just under $60 and left me feeling both food-sad and money-sad. So, if you're just in the mood to throw good money after mediocre food, give this place a try. Otherwise, you're 12 miles from the heart of Indianapolis and I can guarantee that there's much better fare at a comparable or better price to be had. Happy hunting! read more

Me and my family love coming here for special occasions! They have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages, and their food has always tasted amazing and up to par! It's a little pricey, but it's worth it for how good the food is. I also love that the inside is dimly lit! It creates a nice environment to eat in. read more

Went out to dinner with group last night to Boulder Creek I've known about the restaurant for years but I have never been. I was excited to see what they were all about. We had reservations but didn't need them as there were plenty of tables. (That changed later in the evening. The place was packed!) We sat at our table talking while we waited on our server. I am bad with names so I don't remember his name but he was at our table quickly, took our drink order and what we order for appetizers. I ordered their signature margarita which was tasty. It was served in a very small glass for a margarita for the $12 price tag. A few minutes later our appetizers were brought out. We had the spinach artichoke dip which was pretty good, and we also hae the fried calamari. The calamari was slightly overcooked but it was still very good. The plate it was served on was dusted with some kind of powdered chili which added an interesting change to the calamari I have had in the past. Our dinners were served a short time after we were finished with the appetizers. Everyones food looked delicious. I had the 14oz ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes and the loaded potato wedges. My steak was coked perfectly and was one of the better steaks I have in quite a while. The garlic mashed potatoes weren't bad. They were just prepared in a way I am not a fan of. They had small chunks of potato and bits of the skin. That was the fad years ago and I am just over it. Time to move on to something new! The potato wedges were an interesting novelty. The reminded me of old school potato skins except these were just potatoes sliced in to wedges, deep fried, and smothered with sour cream, bacon, and green onions, Not bad. Overall my experience at Boulder Creek was good. It has a decorative them you don't see much in a restaurant. The staff is super friendly amd professional. The prices a bit on the high side. My steak was $42.00. We all had a good time and will be back in the future. I recommend you go out and give Boulder Creek a try. Overall a good dining experience. I would have rated the restaurant four stars if we didn't have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time. The entrance was very crowded with people waiting, it seems like they should have a better system during this pandemic. The food was good. We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer, spicy shrimp appetizer, and a combo dinner of salmon and crab cakes. My daughter's favorite was the spicy cheese sauce that the waitress recommended for the fries. She wants to come back just to get that. The only portion of the meal that I didn't like was the crab cake. I can always depend on CRG. On our way home from hiking, we were hungry but still about 30 minutes from home, but we were at the doorstep of Boulder Creek! I remembered stopping here once and a positive experience but so long ago I couldn't remember much about the food. We had a nice server who took care of everything in a timely fashion and was friendly. I was definitely thirsty after hiking and they kept my water full! Cuisine is on the casual side, perfect for our late lunch. I got the southwest chicken salad. The highlight on this one was perfectly cooked chicken breast and flavorful guacamole. Everything else was just a good salad - no wilty iceberg! My husband got the pork tenderloin..where it's not a big-as-your plate style, the meat was tender with a nice flavorful breading. It was bigger than the bun...in case that matters to you! :) Stopping here really hit the spot and will be a place we remember next time we're nearby! read more

I've been to multiple cunngiham restaurants and it's always the same... high priced food with mediocre taste. Ordered the spinach dip appetizer, came with tortilla chips and warm pita bread... tasted worse than frozen spinach dip. Literally no flavor. Service was lacking, they initially greeted us and poured the oil for bread but it was after we received our appetizer we got fresh bread. Fresh bread came, then our entrees, which nobody was writing home about. Everyone thought it was OK. Waitress checked on us maybe 3 times, she was diligent at the start but she missed the mark at the end. Service was slow, wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Went with a group of 8 total people for a work dinner. Apps were tasty, we had spinach artichoke dip, waffle fries, and calamari. Calamari was kinda rubbery and thick, not like I remember it being when I've ordered it in the past from Cunningham foods. All of us got different entrees, the applewood salmon looked really good and I've actually had that before- it is good. Scallop risotto looked good, and so did the chicken parm. I ordered the halibut, and mine was the last to arrive to the table. It was over cooked big time, and crispy on the edges and bottom. Wish I would have gotten a picture, I had to cut it with a knife. Wasn't going to complain because I was with customers from my work, but had I paid $41 of my own money for this dish, I would have sent it back. So very impressed with Boulder Creek. My sister wanted to go for her birthday and I had never been so I was looking forward to trying it out. We arrived on a weekday evening and were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress, Geri, was the absolute best! She had excellent recommendations and never let our drink glasses become empty. We got the spicy garlic shrimp for an appetizer and while I don't love super spicy things, this was a great spice level! I got the Santa Fe chicken salad which was huge and loaded with chicken and other toppings. It's a nice place but not too fancy. **NOT the restaurant to go to if you have allergies! Awful customer service and management in responding to customers concern of no allergens being listed. They only list one food allergen, "gluten free." When in reality the majority of people that have allergies have other allergens like egg, milk, nuts, etc. For a more upscale restaurant with a nice ambiance, one would think they'd do the work ahead of time to list allergens.
