The hamburgers here are amazing. Our server was very nice and attentive. Seating is comfortable with tables and chairs. There is some outside seating and they have an improvised drive up, pick up system.

Talk About Small Town Foodie Stop.. I used to live here back in the 90's and the food was great then.. Still is.. I was in town to put flowers down for family and drive around revisiting places and had to stop in.. Place was busy inside, but the staff still welcomed me when I walked in and took my order.. I ordered fried mushrooms with fry sauce.. Yum Yum!! This place is worth the stop..

Food was very good and reasonably priced; had the fish and chips combo and hubs had the pit stop burger and fries....love their fries. They give you fry sauce, ranch dip, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Ambiance was nice down home. Server Sydney was very attentive and courteous. Am planning on coming back here!

Decent sized food at a decent price. It's super casual and not touristy at all. Waitresses seemed to know many of the patrons. You can order online and pick up as a drive thru. Small place. TVs had sports and Fox News. It's a mix of tables and booths. Got seated quickly, got our food fast, and the food was decent. A side of fries is huge and can easily be shared amongst 2 or 3 people.

Stopped by to have lunch before going to see my dad at the Veterans Cemetery. We had a really good, fresh meal. This place is so cute and the staff is very attentive. See my pics

Honestly, I was quite shocked that everything went so smooth & the fact they had anything on the menu that I could eat. Love the old 1950's diner feel. Veggie burger exceeded my expectations! I can't tell if they make it or it's frozen & it doesn't matter because it was delicious. I added mushrooms, jalapeños, fresh avocado, & of course mustard & ketchup. French Fries were also incredible! They were thin & tasty! & the Soda Fountain had a great amount of carbonation! & lastly, the service was fantastic. So friendly, polite, & kind. It was a beautiful last minute lunch my partner & I were able to enjoy. Appreciate you all!

Everything about this spot, reminded me of home. This diner brought warmth to my heart. The food was amazing, the service was top notch (Rylyn), and the ambiance is welcoming. Everyone was very friendly. The burgers are big and will definitely fill you up! Get the fried mushrooms!! Chefs kiss

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. We also tried the fried okra and potato salad. The okra was amazing; crispy and delicious. The potato salad was just okay for me and a little bland, but I'm from the north, so I know everyone makes potato salad differently depending on the region. Overall, Fox Smokehouse BBQ was a great stop with delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming hometown vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you're near Boulder City.

As many who have been to Boulder City know, they roll up the sidewalks pretty early at night and although it's a delightful town, there's only a short list of things to do once the sun goes down. That said, after a 12 hour workday in the desert heat, the things I could count on was the quick walk, cheap drinks and the friendly conversations that can be found at Maxx's bar. I've been here a couple times now this week already, but tonight I stopped by after 12 hours in the sun, a Panda Bowl and a shower to grab a few drinks. As I walked down the street I could hear loud music playing and figured they just had the speakers up more than usual, but as I walked up I noticed a singer on the patio. He was singing some classics from my days, but with a raegae twist and it was quite pleasant to hear and see, especially alongside the crowd having fun outside. I really appreciate the fact that they have live music on Wednesdays. I walked in and parked my awkward butt on a barstool and was welcomed in by Kristen. She asked me what I'd like and she quickly served me my order. It felt nice being an outsider in the community, but still feeling welcomed and I was fortunate to be able to share a casual conversation with Kristen. Throughout the evening, she was very attentive and kept the beverages flowing while also tending to patrons both inside as well as on the patio enjoying the live music. This is obviously a bar with quite a few regulars, but that's what I love about bars back home and it made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed watching some game highlights on TV and took the time to catch up on emails and texts from earlier in the day. All around, this is a fantastic bar to stop by whether you're passing through or staying in town for a few days. As someone who appreciates consistency and routine, I definitely hope to be back soon and enjoy another relaxing evening at Maxx's. Two thumbs up for Kristen and the Maxx's team!

Strong coffee, excellent and friendly service, giant plates served up of breakfast enchiladas and carnitas benedict with chipotle hollandaise atop the most gorgeous, golden jalapeño cornbread. The breakfast enchiladas come with delicious fried potato chunks and damn, they are tasty! This is a family-owned, family-run staple breakfast and lunch destination for locals and people around the globe. It has also been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I had the Papa Con Chili Verde with hashbrowns. This dish is made with Pork Chili Verde, cheddar cheese, pepper jack, pico de gallo, and flour or corn tortillas. I added an over-easy egg as well. The hash browns had a really nice crunch and good seasoning. The egg was cooked perfectly with a nice runny yolk. The cheese added some gooey texture, a little salt, and a bit of bite, while the peppers added a nice crunch to each bite. The pico also added a bright, fresh texture to the dish. The Pork Verde was beautiful, with great spice and juiciness, tender yet with a good chew. The entire dish works well together, and it was hard to stop eating it. I also sampled their biscuit with homemade gravy. The biscuit was light and airy with great texture, chew, and flavor. It was buttery and fresh. The gravy was seasoned really well, with big chunks of well-seasoned sausage that weren't overpowering, along with sage and other seasonings. The gravy was thick enough to stand up in its own, but not so thick that it had the consistency of glue. Perfect, flavorful, and amazing are about the only ways I could describe it. My wife had the B.L.T.E. on sourdough with home fries. This sandwich is served with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg. The sourdough was thick-cut and lightly toasted, with a light flavor, crunch, and great chew. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, bright, and both had a great texture. The eggs were well fried and seasoned. The bacon was medium-thick, cooked to perfection with crunch, chew, and a great salty flavor. The home fries came in a huge portion, were well seasoned, but were undercooked and had an unwanted crunch. They also came with grilled onions, which tasted good, but I'm not sure why they were put on top of the potatoes rather than cooked along with them. Coffee Cup has a full menu for both breakfast and lunch. They serve loads of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, plate meals, burritos, omelets, diner classics, and sides. They have a full bar and serve beer. The staff was extremely nice, and the service and food were quick. The Fat Man says that The Coffee Cup Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 3 chins.

Thankfully the location was perfect since there was a lot to see around the area. The place looked cool with a ton of decorations of skis on the ceilings and a lot of photos on the wall. We order the OG breakfast sandwich and the pork chili verde omelette. We came in really hungry so I thought it was going to hit the spot. My husband and I really tried to like the food but it just wasn't as flavorful as it looked. The croissant bread wasn't as buttery as we hoped for and since the pork chili verde omelette was seen on food network I had high hopes for it, just for it to taste bland. But I did enjoy the wheat toast. We were kind of disappointed because of all the good reviews this place has but it was at least a great experience to try it out.

This review is based on three separate visits and each visit's order was for two people (i.e. two…read moremeals). Wait Time: Between all three visits, there was an average wait time of 20-30 minutes. When we arrived to the window to pay on our first visit, we were told to take a lap around the drive-thru and that our order would be ready upon our return. It turned out we arrived to the window and waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. Order: With the wait time in mind, please remember that Rome wasn't built in a day--so don't expect a quality meal to be ready within five minutes. With that being said, we ordered the 1). double cheeseburger with fries, 2). crispy chicken sandwich with fries, 3). fish and chips, 4). chicken tenders, 5). a strawberry shake, and 6). a chocolate shake between our three visits. The quality across all three visits was consistent and detailed here: 1). The Double Cheeseburger was cooked to our doneness preference. The bun was toasted with light butter and a slight crunch to the bite. The patties were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheese was evenly melted on the patties. The condiments did not overpower the patties' flavor. The toppings were the standard lettuce, tomato, and onions--which worked harmoniously with the rest of the burger, making for one of the best burgers I have ever had. Upon first glance, it meets my expectations of what a burger should be. 2). Much like the Double Cheeseburger, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was of excellent quality. All of its components worked collectively to deliver in flavor and texture, including the toasted bun with the slight crunch. It was a perfect Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3). The Fries were flavorful (fry seasoning, salt), crinkle cut, and evenly fried throughout (i.e. you did not have some hard pieces and some soggy pieces). We recommend a side of ranch for dipping. 4). The Fish and Chips were your standard Fish and Chips--and I mean that in the best way. They were fried until the classic golden and served with tartar sauce. Again, everything you would expect out of Fish and Chips. 5). While the Chicken Tenders were good, they were not outstanding. We would not order them again due to the other superior items on the menu. 6). The Strawberry Shake was flavored with fresh strawberries and like the Chicken Tenders, it was not outstanding. The Chocolate Shake was a classic Chocolate Shake. If you are craving a shake, then go for it. Otherwise, there isn't anything that would separate these shakes from another good quality shake. Both shakes leaned toward a thicker consistency. Note: The medium sized shakes are huge. If we ever get one again in the future, we will order a small instead. Service: We felt welcomed during each visit and did not feel rushed at the intercom (all three of our visits were through the drive-thru). Prior to visiting, we were unsure of what to expect with the mixed reviews and ultimately decided that we would just find out for ourselves. We are so grateful that we made the choice to try Chilly Jilly'z, because it is now one of our favorite spots in Southern Nevada. We definitely recommend that you give it a try!
