Childhood burger joint and still one of my favorites! My favorite is the cheeseburger and what makes it so flavorful is their char grilled meat. It is a small simple burger but flavor is great. To accompany this I've always order the chili cheese fries which I consider the best you can get. Have not gave other items on the menu a try honestly because this is my favorite duo and brings back so much high school memories. Service has always been on the edgy side and unpleasant as long as I can remember but shocked as my Grubhub order was ordered twice in accident. Called and politely was answered and told they can gladly cancel the order on their end. This place has good breakfast. I always come for one thing the 3 big pancakes breakfast meal. The pancakes are fluffy and big enough to share. It comes with eggs and bacon. We always get a side of hash brown to add to our order. Our total is less than 11$. Next time I go I'm going to take a picture of the portions. I know it's a burger joint but I don't like the burgers here. I know they're cheap but there not for me. They don't make me want to crave one. And the fries are not crunchy and I don't like the seasoning on them. If I don't like their basic thing on the menu I won't try anything else. I came here because it's close to where I live, and I was craving a club sandwich. The service here sucks because the cashiers take your order like they are annoyed. They aren't patient and I would understand if the place is packed but when I went it was half empty. I placed my order for take out and the wait time was taking forever. Note to self to order by phone for pick-up. They charge for extra dipping sauce if you want ranch. The club sandwich was good, and the bread wasn't burned. Had been coming here for a while but this was the last time. I ordered avocado burger when I received it the meat was cold. The meat looked property cold it was just cold like it was sitting for a while. I told the cashier the problem he touched it and said they would make a new one. While waiting he told me he didn't like making them because the avocado is cold and cools the meat. This is an interesting burger place. It's near the busy intersection of Florence and Atlantic. They do have parking. I think the building was once a Jacks restaurant about 20 years ago. Once walking in you can't help but notice numerous amount of memorabilia and pictures around the restaurant. It's all over the place. I'm all for decorations but this place is a little over the top. It's hard to tell if they are aiming for any theme. You'll see mini statues of the blues brothers and some of Popeye and Olive Oil. You'll see pictures of Joe Dimaggio. You'll see local stuff. I feel like they went into the basement of an elder whose wife wouldn't allow him to use his stuff for their house. I ordered a club sandwich with cheese fries (grilled onions). The turnaround from ordering it and getting it was pretty standard. You really can't mess up a club. I'll still stop by this place to try other foods. Not a good spot for a chili cheese fries fix at all. At first bite, we were pretty excited because it was a nice cheesy bite. But as we kept digging into it, we were left wondering where the heck the meat/chili portion was. There was less than 10% of what you'd normally expect in an order of chilli cheese fries. The only meat/chili flavor we were getting was really just coming from what we believed was meat grease that was lightly coating the whole order. Oh wait, there was a lot of pieces of cartilage though. Does that count as meat? Anyway, it was a very gooey mess of extra extra extra cheese with greasy meat cartilage on soggy fries. To start off the burgers here are nasty -.- The combos are expensive and they are not worth the money. Another thing i dont like is that in order to use your debit card you have to order a minimum of $10 AND they charge a .99 cent fee just to use it which is pretty stupid. I was a bit skeptical because of other Yelpers reviews, but I decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant was impressive and interesting. If it wasn't for my food, I would have kept searching for things to oogle at. I ordered the Avocado Cheeseburger combo. It was pretty good. The burger was big and flavorful. I went during Covid-19 time... on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy, all employees and customers were wearing mask. I got the 21 shrimp plate. It comes with small breaded shrimp, toasted bread, fries and salad. Oh and an onion ring. The onion ring didn't taste good. Everything else was ok. Portions are big. The plate was majority salad, they gave me one small thousand Island. I asked for another one and they said 50 cents. I asked for more ketchup as well and they seem stingy on that too. Ive been to this place a few times now and I always tend to order the same thing. They make a really good grilled chicken sandwitch. I believe that it is healthy, just substitue the fries with a side salad. I've also tried their burgers and fries. I feel that the burgers are just average. Their fries are pretty good tho.
