Iris and her Fabulous sales associates do an incredible job of styling and making you feel absolutely beautifully fashionable. I am a walking advertisement for the store! At 50 years of age i am flattered when ladies from their early 20's to mid 50's stop me and ask me where I shop and where I get all my Fabulous outfits. I have bought everything here from casual chic to formal gowns and cocktail attire. Part of me was not wanting to share publicly my Fabulous finds but I want to make sure this boutique gets its rightful endorsement and so I am setting aside my selfish ways :) If you're looking for fun and savvy outfits that won't break your pocket book, I highly recommend a visit to this Fabulous store. My friend bought me two items from this store for Christmas. I went back with him to return a pair of pants that were ill-fitting. I was issued a gift certificate for the return as we were told they do not give cash back or credit return back to the purchaser's credit card. I went back a few days later to try to find something else and was unable to find my size in anything I liked. The gift certificate had an expiration date in Feb. (illegal in the state of California) I was out of town careing for my mother from December to Mid February ( I had explained these circumstances when I asked for an extension) I waited patiently for over an hour to speak with the owner who told me she would give me an additional 2 weeks. I won't go into detail as this process and my conversation with the owner was very uncomfortable.I was both embarassed and anoyed at the way I was addressed. She was very defensive rude and combative. I went back the next day to purchase a one-size-fits-all bag (so as not to lose the $65.00 credit) I was charged sales tax on the price of the bag, $95.00 even though I should only have been charged sales tax on the price difference. I will never enter this store again. Too bad because they have some cute stuff. Just be sure you won't need to return anything... Here is an outline of the CA gift certificate law. Effective August 22, 2010.1 Federal law may pre-empt California law where the terms are inconsistent and federal law is more protective of consumers. I love this boutique! I can always count on finding a great dress for any occasion, from something formal to a girl's night out. I saw that they had the $50 for $75 yelp deal but wanted to make sure I was going to make a big enough purchase before getting it. Luckily I found a great dress for Vegas here for $70 and the staff helped me pick out some great accessories to go with it so I could use the voucher. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I even got a coupon in my bag for my next purchase to receive $10 off a $25 purchase that doesn't expire and I will definitely be back to use it :) read more

You know, I love walking up and down garnet avenue and stopping in all the fun clothing stores. This place caught my eye as I was in dire need for a semi-formal dress for a wedding. I thought to myself, "oh wow, this place is perfect!" My friend and I walked in and the store employee was not welcoming. Not a smile. Not a greeting. Nothing. She just kept in the back fixing hangers. Not once did she ask either of us if we needed help. Didn't ask if we needed to try anything on. That place had potential and I was willing to pay over 100 dollars for this nice red dress on the mannequin, but I did not feel welcome in there. Keep in mind that we WERE THE ONLY TWO SHOPPERS IN STORE, yet she couldn't even acknowledge us. I would come back if they changed their customer service. But for now, no thanks. read more

This is by far one of my favorite places to shop in SD. There are always fresh, new collections coming in so be sure to stop by every few weeks if you are an avid shopper. Everything is very reasonably priced and I always get compliments on the clothing I get here. The ladies in there were very encouraging and helpful. I love this little store! They have a great selection for dresses. The customer service is also great. What I also love about this store is that if they carry a specific designer and if they don't have a dress that's online for that designer then they might order it for you without any obligations of having to buy it. I got lucky today and happened to be on Garnet when they were having their 50% entire store summer sale and was able to gets some fabulous deals! I visited this store when I was in town for the weekend and it did not disappoint. I found a beautiful maxi dress for a great price. Lani was the gal who helped me and she was super helpful and very nice. I gave them a one point deduction, because of their website. Since I don't live in San Diego, I was excited that I could order items online. However, the online selection seems like it is not updated with their new items and based on the photos that they put online, I would never buy anything on their site. After almost losing hope, I walked into The Fabulous Rag. They had everything I wanted and more! An awesome selection. Flirty daytime to sexy night time an great quality! We don't have a lot of boutiques in SD or at least I haven't found them yet! It's hard to find variety AND quality so this store is refreshing. Their prices are above average, but less expensive than Bebe for the most part. At least in my opinion. I didn't think they were too expensive because I was gonna spend the same online PLUS shipping! Gone are the days of personal fitters, thank goodness, but this store offers an even better service, a personal stylist for free! I am admittedly clueless, but also a bit shy. Uhm....absolutely AMAZING. They have such great and unique pieces and the customer service is out of this world. I tried on a dress there and then moved out of state... It's always hard to write reviews for places you love, especially in fear that so many people will come and all the sizes run out in your favorite item! I live in North Park but every chance I get near PB, you know I'll be dropping into this place! Such cute and unique clothes that you don't find in other places and very reasonable prices overall. They have beautiful dresses for every occasion but I love their casual wear and accessories just as much. The ladies who work there are super nice and helpful but not too overbearing and "stalker"-like either, as with some places I've gone to where I just want to be left alone to shop. I can always ask for a different size or how to wear an item of clothing and they are willing to help.
