Very nice coffee shop that I like to go to when working around Oceanside, although this is borderline Carlsbad. It is very stylish and has that minimalist-hygge vibe to it. Parking in the same shopping center is not very abundant so plan accordingly. The coffee drinks are great and they also have some nice merchandise to sell.

Tried this place after my friend raved about it and I love it. The coffees and matchas are so good!! A bit small inside but I love the open window that lets in the breeze. The breakfast burrito is also super tasty. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. My latte with oat milk and cold foam is about $10.25

I really love this place but this is the second time now that something has happened when I go there. First, couple months ago, I was left waiting for over 30 mins for a breakfast burrito, I thought they were just busy so I gave grace. I went up to ask the status and they told me the cook went to the store to get more tortillas...... didn't bother telling me or informing me. I directly reached out via IG and they gave me a $20 to come back, super nice of them!! Now, fast forward a few months, I had some time to myself this morning and wanted to enjoy coffee and a bagel. (Best sourdough bagels ever) it comes out and the jalapeños are completely blackened on the top like it was burnt to crisp, oh well I moved on and ate half. I began eating the next half and notice that they left the entire piece of paper on the cheese..... so now I'm left wondering did I just eat another piece of paper on the other side and didn't even notice?!! I take it in and tell them. They're super nonchalant about it and ask if I want a refund or another one. They ended up giving me a full refund and said sorry. It just made me feel like this sort of thing happens a lot. I really love this place but I'm really not sure how this keeps happening to me. I just can't do it anymore. Really bummed.

Found this coffee shop on Yelp while i was in the neighborhood for an appoointment. The Bound Coffee shop has a modern and stylish vibe, has a clean and contemporary interior. Its a small place so not that much seating is available inside. Outdoor seating is also limited with just a couple of tables. The coffee was good (I had a latte), and the service was perfectly fine. However, the food prices are quite steep for a coffee shop. My lox bagel was $17.50, which felt high for the setting. I'd definitely come back for the coffee or a quick pastry, but I'll probably skip the full food menu next time.

Wow. Just wow. Breakfast burrito was delectable. Scrum-diddly-umptious. To quote a friend: "The more I think about it, the higher I rate this breakfast burrito. Kind of like art in a way." Fluffy eggs, a well seasoned filling, and a white sauce that could make a grown man cry. The vibes after eating this burrito were so good and the quick service was appreciated.

Every time I've been the bagels have been sold out and we usually end up getting the breakfast burrito (which is really good) but today we were in luck! We finally got to try the bagels and they were definitely worth the wait!! I got jalapeño cheddar which is my favorite and so good and my husband got everything which he really liked.

Delicious house made sourdough bagels and lattes! Best food we've had at a coffee shop in a while. The guava tart was also delicious, more savory and buttery with little filling. The strawberry bergamot scone was good at first, but the copious frosting made it too sweet about halfway through. Black coffee is usually what I like with pastries, but their black coffee was a bit too acidic for me. I was able to exchange for a latte without any issue. Parking was completely full in the shared lot. They have a very limited number of retail spaces in the shared building. However, there is plenty of street parking within a block.

My husband and I were driving by and finally decided to stop by and try their matcha/coffees. It was a little awkward trying to order as we were the only ones ordering and all the baristas were huddled together chatting instead of acknowledging us. When we did get service I asked if I could add a syrup to an iced matcha and they responded that they don't typically do that but they could. So I did ask for salted caramel in my iced matcha. My husband just ordered a plain iced latte. I really enjoyed my matcha as it was prepared correctly as a tea latte. I will say there was no sweetness to it and no salted caramel taste. No biggie because I drink plain matcha daily, just wanted to spruce it up since I was ordering it from a cafe. Oh well. My husband loved his latte! The espresso itself was so smooth. Definitely worth an order. We would go back for the drinks again and would just know the customer service isn't always welcoming or kind.

Happy 6th Birthday Bound! This is my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood; anything I get here is guaranteed to be yummy (the drip, made to order matcha, iced coffees, hojicha, bagel sandos... the list goes on and on). The burritos themselves fill me up for the rest of the day (craveable). You can tell they put time into making everything in house. The staff is very kind and brings my drink to me, a plus since I have a hard time hearing my name being called. They were even giving out free stickers today! Try to snag a seat inside to cool off from the heat, my favorite spot is along their bench seating. Bonus points if you wander down to the nature center after you pick up your coffee (it's right down the road).

I'm testing a new theory...and it's that anyone who is willing to invest in a Slayer espresso machine, they care a lot about their beans. So stop two on my Slayer-theory tour is Bound Coffee Company. And so far, my theory is testing true. Bound has a very clean looking operation and I was in and out of there pretty quickly. Not sure what beans they're using but the espresso was excellent and shows that they take care in what they're serving. They're tucked into a little group of businesses off of PCH but easy enough to navigate. If you're in the area and need a little pick-me-up, you can't go wrong with Bound Coffee.

Great coffee and breakfast place. Love that they do their own sourdough bagels, delicious! All their homemade bake goods and syrups are delicious, they know how to balance well flavors. They have some great seasonal ideas on top of the regular. Also nice staff, and cute shop. Always a good moment there. read more

Wonderful little coffee shop on the way to a beach in Oceanside. There are plus to plug in and work, lovely light beachy atmosphere. Had a salted carmel Latte and gluten free blueberry maple muffin. I loved the muffin. So yummy! My iced Latte was really good too. Two drinks and 1 muffin was just under $20 so very reasonable with the prices. They have outdoor seating too! read more

Saturday afternoon, walked into Bound. Instantly great impression. Clean and beautiful design. We requested a drink that was not on the menu (Vietnamese iced coffee) and the staff was more than happy to look for the ingredients and accommodate our drink. This is not only the best coffee that I've had in San Diego (and I'm a huge Philz fan) but they have the best cafe food I've ever had and maybe the best breakfast burrito and bagel sandwich I've had in a long time. Try it. I promise you'll love it. read more

Nice place and very friendly staff! I was very impressed with the gal who told us the whole food menu without reading anything! It's a nice quiet area and nestled in with a bunch of business offices. I customized my order with the salted caramel americano and it was good but too strong for me. I should have orders my mocha as I like the chocolate taste. The scones we tried were yummy and again, super friendly and nice relaxing atmosphere. Next time, I'd just have to get my standard order and try the burrito, as apparently, they had one in the menu! read more

I am a big fan of coffee and trying different shops, and Bound blows me away with its quality and consistency. Every drink I've ordered has been wonderful. It can sometimes take a bit of time for a drink, but that's because they are measuring everything to precision. My favorite drink is the salted carmel latte, which has a flavor profile similar to salted carmel ice cream from Bi Rite Creamery or Salt & Straw - it is decadent, but not too overpowering with sweetness. I've also tried and loved the vanilla latte, and seasonal drinks like the grapefruit/juniper/pink peppercorn latte (which is much better than it sounds), white chocolate, and pina colada. read more

Tbh, when I heard that Bound opened in Oceanside, I had to roll my eyes - yet another new coffee shop on the PCH?!? Is this necessary?? But I gave it a try and was soon taking back all of my misgivings. In a sea of coffee shops, drop your anchor at Bound! Bound is located in South Oceanside, and when they say that, they mean it - it's right before the lagoon and you can literally see Carlsbad from their front door. It's a quaint little shop in a complex of many other businesses. If you didn't know it was there, you'd probably miss it, but it is NOT to be missed! During COVID they are taking orders from their window, but the gal working the register was nice enough to let me peek inside at the menu. I got an iced latte with salted caramel and oat milk. It was a little pricey (over $6 with tax) but I was definitely splurging with the flavor and non-dairy milk, so a standard coffee would be cheaper. The biggest thing that stood out to me was their salted caramel. IT IS AMAZING. Salted caramel is hard to get right. It's usually either way too sweet, too artificial, or too salty. Bound's is PERFECT. Highly, highly recommend!! Bound also sets itself apart with its vibe - trendy but not tooo trendy. Its minimalist design feels clean and modern, but I don't feel like I have to dress up for Coachella in order to enter. This area of Oceanside is also very quiet, so even though you're sitting on the PCH, it's not loud or busy. I do wish they had a bigger outdoor patio, but I suppose they can't change that. They also have a shared parking lot with many spots, which is always a plus in my book. Overall, it was a great experience. I'm thrilled to welcome Bound to Oceanside and hope that you check them out. They could use your support as a new business during the pandemic! read more

Since this is the closest coffee shop to my house I walked there in the morning to try it out. The shop is cute, coffee is good, and scone was excellent! But the wait... they are definitely under staffed. Waited 20min just for one iced latte. Not sure if I'd go back, maybe just for the scone! read more

Such a cute little coffee shop. I met halfway with a friend from San Diego, and this was such a cute place! They had outdoor seating to accommodate for these uncertain times, which was so fun! My almond milk latte was great as well as my friend's cappuccino. I recommend this place for a quick pick me up! read more

Nice location with a nice view. You don't quite notice that they are there when you drive by though. They have a nice sized parking lot, which is unheard of off of Coast Hwy. And, I think because they are kinda hidden it doesn't get too busy like other Coast Hwy coffee shops in the morning. Their Coffee is REALLY GOOD! And, they make their own syrups which is cool. So if you don't want to look for street parking and want some great brew with a friendly staff I would recommend this place for sure! read more

Ive had alot of breakfast burritos in my life most of em very greasy quickies from a place ending in Erto's yes those r good but the breakfats burrito here at bound is next level no grease at all perfect ratios of eggs bacon cheese hashbrown! I came in today after my wax appointment because I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I saw the bound was being advertised on a few people social media that I know so I thought "hey I like coffee let me try it out." I ordered a salted caramel iced coffee the regular size which is $4 but it's $0.50 for the syrup& the large size is a dollar more. I had to ask for a straw because it doesn't usually come with one I guess which is fine. The flavor is a little bit different than what I'm used to, also I noticed there's a lot of gunkiness in the drink I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's not smooth like a regular drink there's some residue. I'm interested in trying just the iced coffee without any syrup maybe it will be a little bit more palatable for me. I'll attach a picture of the build up. However, I don't know if the half & half was bad, or what but I have a headache and feel super nauseous after drinking it. read more

I can not recommend a coffee shop more then Bound Coffee!!! Today was our 1st visit and I am already planning our return! Staff 100% amazing! Quality 100% delicious!!! My husband had regular drip and the flavor is perfection. My son tried the iced peppermint mocha and they make all of their own flavors in house...scrumptious!!! I had their cold brew with almond milk...truly perfection! We will be back this weekend! I am giving Bound 10 stars!!! read more

Unquestionably, the best coffee shop in the area! Not to mention their pastries are to die for!! I'm so thankful that finally, I was able to find this spot. The atmosphere inside this coffee shop was very vibrant and relaxing. All the staff was beyond friendly and excellent customer service. Great find with great drinks and tasty breakfast burrito! Came here for the first time today and was stoked on our visit. We were able to find seating on a Sunday morning (most guests were rotating quickly for to-go orders). The inside is minimalist and simple. They seemed to have a lot of drink options, and decaf espresso, which is great because it seems not a lot of places offer this anymore (and my husband is very sensitive to caffeine). He had a decaf americano, and I tried their pumpkin sage latte, which was amazing - very frothy, and not overly sweet at all. We split the breakfast burrito which was super tasty, didn't fall apart while eating it, and it had great salsa on the side. Will definitely be coming again. read more

I love this new coffee shop that just opened up in South Oceanside. My wife and I have been watching their construction progress over the past year and today I'm excited to finally try their coffee. It was excellent. It's in a great location opposite the lagoon in a newly remodeled building. Easy to walk to or park if you're driving. The owners have done a wonderful job creating a bright, welcoming, and friendly space. It's beautiful inside really. I'm excited that they are in the neighborhood. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and this is my new favorite place in Oceanside. I've tried a couple of the different drinks they offer and have liked them all, but the drink that has blown my mind is one of their rotating flavors: a grapefruit, juniper, and pink peppercorn latte. It sounds odd but I gave it a try and it tasting it was like tasting a chocolate orange candy. I don't know how they came up with this combo but I came back the very next day to get it again before it was rotated out. Also, the staff is all very friendly and customer service oriented. Literally the best coffee ever. Do not go anywhere else. Even if it's out of your way you need to get in your car, turn that shit on and drive here asap. So, this place does a few things right. I was introduced to them because of their burritos. Holy cow are they good. They make their own salsa, use high quality ingredients, and is the perfect portion. I love their burritos. Now I know this is a coffee shop, so I should be talking about that. Their coffee is also amazing, I just wanted to tell you about their burritoa. I think they should think about franchising they are that good. I had a really disappointing experience here today. The drink I ordered was already pricey, but I was willing to overlook that if the service had been good. Unfortunately, the latina barista was extremely rude. When I politely asked for a simple side of syrup item with my drink, instead of just helping me out, she actually took my drink back in a very unprofessional way. I left feeling frustrated and like I had wasted my money. For the cost, I expected much better service and some basic courtesy. read more

I love the coffee. The bagels are made in house from scratch. The breakfast burrito always hits the spot and they roast their own beans. It's a cool place to hang out too. I wish we would have gotten the barista's name who rang us up- but he was just spectacular. My mom has an autoimmune disease and some days are just harder than others in terms of us getting out of the house and enjoying some mother-daughter time. He really seemed genuine in his interaction, particularly with my mom, and it made her morning. Thank you kind sir for your heart and kindness- I want you to know that you made an impact!
