I came here for two reasons. Vince Coglianese and because they had a low review. I'll be the first to tell you, the review is deceiving. Let's start with the good. The food was fantastic. In fact, out of 5 I'd give it a solid 4.5. Moving on to the ambiance. We sat in the lounge, and while it was low key, I loved it. There was a cute little jazz band playing and it was perfect for casual date night. Lastly, the service. I loved the waitress. Unfortunately it appeared as if the staff was spread thin, so she wasn't very attentive. Considering the bill was over $300 I would have expected the service to be better. Again, not my servers fault. Whoever manages the joint you've got to get your house in order. This is why I'm giving it a 3, and maintaining the fact that the low amount of stars is deceiving. The owner's obnoxious and egocentric response only further substantiates my decision to never return to this establishment. So just got back from this place I saw it on Apple Maps and the pictures look great the atmosphere look great so I went in thinking it's gonna be a awesome steak. Open the menu 40+ dollars for small plates so immediately avoided that and then ordered a 16 ounce dry aged ribeye with a baked potato and charred, broccoli order the steak, medium rare steak comes out to the table. it was medium well and it's not a cheap cut of meat so I sent it back. Had to tell the waitress like five times before I ordered my steak that I wanted it medium rare and then it comes back out and is practically blue and then the broccoli the broccoli wasn't even cooked. It's like they put it on a plate next to the grill to let it heat up and then blowtorched it for like two seconds before it went out and then lastly, the potato then also was not bake long enough so I wasn't only cooked through like it's supposed to be. Overall, not a great experience especially when a bill total out like $150 so not coming back. And the most disappointing part they weren't even busy. I was like one of three tables in the dining room and there was like 10 people in the bar. if I had any advice to give, I would say cut those prices. It's ridiculous. Presentation is spectacular with the steak and sides getting wheeled out on a large cart and the tomahawk cut tableside by some giant knives. Taste of food was pretty delicious. Pricing is very high and I would likely only go back on Military Mondays. We paid about $333, for 3 people, not including tip. Our meal was a tomahawk steak, 2 sides, 1 cauliflower entree, french onion soup, 2 caprese. They run some pretty interesting deals during weekdays-check those out! The servers were all very attentive, we had 3 different waiters, 2 people who brought out the food, not to mention the busboys that kept our waters filled and took our plates,- a ton of wait staff. Live band played jazz type music which we enjoyed; it was just loud enough that didn't drown everyone's voice out. Would love to try this place again and def expect the food to be tasty! read more

This was the first time for us and we took friends for the live music. The drinks were great and the music was perfect. We ordered appetizers and drinks so cant rate their food on the main menu. There was no cover fee to get in to see the live music, which may be why the drinks are a little pricey. There is a hiring shortage everywhere in the state so I don't expect super fast service anywhere i go these days. The owner and everyone else was super polite and friendly and the 5% kitchen charge on the tab was not a deal breaker. Go and experience the surroundings, people and great music. Went to this place for a celebration. It was a weeknight and not very busy. The place is decorated with warm dark woods and felt perfect the moment we were seated. We ordered one of their original cocktails. The presentation was spectacular. They brought it out in a smoke filled box and when they opened it's door our mouths began drooling in anticipation. Then they took a blow torch and set it on fire. We ordered a cease salad, garlic mashed potatoes, and the Tomahawk steak medium rare. In my opinion the salad was under dressed but the dressing was flavored well. I felt the potatoes were a little bland as well. BUT THE STEAK! It was brought out at the absolute right temperature; it was fork tender; and tasted wonderfully! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. read more

I don't usually write reviews of restaurants but this one was so bad I felt I needed to vent. It started out with very uncomfortable chairs at a small table that I kept banging my knees on the legs of. The server was Houdini. She disappeared after taking our order and decided to leave us for 20 mins waiting on an appetizer that didn't come out until the meal arrived. I ordered smoked/seared ahi tuna. It was tough. Yes, tough! I had to saw at it with my knife to cut through it. I have never had tuna that was tough in my 58 years of existence. It was cold and had a strong fish taste. Tuna is usually a pretty mild fish. All of the seared ahi I've had previously was warm and flaky but still a nice pink color. Thats why I ordered it. This tasted like it had been sitting on the dock for a week before they burned the outside and threw it on my plate. My girlfriend ordered a loaded baked potato. It was dry and not loaded with much of anything. I'm glad now she didn't order an entree. I was trying to talk her into a jerk chicken they had on the menu. I guess we dodged a bullet there. The price of the food is outrageous for the area they are located. If they were in DC the prices would still have been on the high side. If the food was good at least I could have convinced myself it was worth what they charge. It was the worst food I've had in a long, long time. We had a party of five out for an early dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday. I was looking for a special location (and it was) with special food (and it was) to make the birthday guy feel special (and he did). The menu is lovely with so many tempting choices. Add to that an extensive list of bourbons (birthday guy was happy) and a long wine list -- what's not to like? We all enjoyed a cocktail, one of us had a smoked Old Fashioned prepared tableside which was fun, and we had wine with dinner. The food was good over all. The birthday guy ordered a 12 oz filet medium rare and it came out medium well. The server was very accommodating and worked quickly to replace the steak with one cooked as ordered. The replacement steak was lovely but more on the rare side. Birthday guy still liked it so all good. One of our gentlemen ordered a burger and he didn't love it -- and he loves most burgers. For the $32 price, thought it would be the best burger he ever had but he said he likes Five Guys better. Oh well. Two others in our party enjoyed steaks, and I had a Caesar Salad with filet, which was good. Brussel Sprouts are delicious, by the way. We all ordered dessert -- Apple Pie, Pistachio Cheesecake, Creme Brulee... all really good. Overall I enjoyed the experience... just not the price tag. This place will charge you a kitchen service fee right on top of your check for $6.00. Comically bad food - the bread and butter that landed on the table first had rancid butter. After pointing that out of that to the server - on to the entrees. I had the pasta primavera - over cooked, bland with giant cuts of veggies in it - pretty bad. The brussels with maple siracha was down right inedible - I asked and received a refund on that dish. The ahi tuna on salad my partner had was pretty good. I trashed a $1200 St. John sweater because the rough and jagged wood was, well, rough and jagged. If you have $650 bourbon flights on your menu, please lose the cheap ass furniture so that my meal expense eclipses your investment in furniture. Let's next talk about table service. Your staff IS NOT properly trained to serve and remove courses. DO NOT ask me to stack or reach across my guests to do YOUR job. While the food tasted good, please do NOT confuse good food with good experience. The restaurant has cheap-ass furniture that looks crappy and ruins good clothes. The bathroom smells like a 1970's bad ammonia perm. Wait staff are VERY poorly trained in silver service. AND the joint is as kitschy as all get-out. Bottom line: experience not worth it. If I'm dropping $500 for dinner for 4, I want white tablecloths, decent seating and we'll-trained staff. Let's start with the positives: Our food was incredible. Hands down the best steaks we've had in a long time. Bourbon flight menu was impressive. The smoked Old Fashioned was also one of the best I've ever had. But, we'll never go back. We were seated next to a table of two young men who had clearly been overserved. One was so drunk he slept at the table and ran to the bathroom to vomit. The other played tik tok videos on repeat at the loudest possible volume. This place was shockingly disappointing... Upon arrival, I checked in with the hostess after waiting a solid few minutes. I made reservations about a week prior, only to have her state they have no record of my reservation. That was odd since I kept getting updates about my reservation to that day and even a follow up on how the dining experience went. Anyhow, the place was sparsely filled on a Friday night. The decor is eclectic, and a hodge podge of different themes all merging. Not the worse, but definitely was note worthy, and I've never noted such odd decor until this place. So, I read the reviews on how service was spotty and the food was overpriced. Knew that going in, however, what shocked me was buying their top dishes and it being so terrible...especially on a weekend night that wasn't busy. Completely surprised there! Upon ordering, I asked the server for the recommendations and ended up ordering their shareable shreddable pork and Brussels sprouts. A few things concerned me about the menu: no notation of what line of beef you're buying (I assumed choice since most restaurants are proud of serving prime), not many good choices beyond steak, no classic chicken option was available only chicken curry which is odd for a "steakhouse". The actual eating... Brussels sprouts were most likely steamed due to slimy texture, whereas vast majority prefer and want crispy Brussels sprouts. The pork was hands down the worst; it was most likely paraboiled then deep fried. I don't mind deep fried meat; however this was way over crisped and for about 1/3" it was jerky like texture. My friend got the pork chop. It was very beautiful and presented in a plating as if in Hawaii; flowers placed all over the dish. The pork chop was very uneven in its cooking but flavor was good. Now for atmosphere. Service was subpar. Server was very nice, but as noted in all the other reviews it's severely understaffed. While dining, they tried dimming the lights, but completely turned the lights off five times! I was catching up with a friend I hadn't seen for a while, and this was extremely annoying. At that point, if you literally turn the lights off on the patrons, then just keep the lights on if you have no idea what you're doing. Beyond rookie mistake. The live music was good, however, too loud to hear my friend as we were quite close. So to summarize this restaurant I wanted to give it a chance despite the reviews, however, this was hands down the worst meal I've had since I can remember. As I was driving away, I see Chick fil a, and thought how they would've been 10x's better of a place. Please save your money and dine somewhere else. From the private room to accommodate us all (at no extra charge), the KINDNESS of our generous host and owner, Kiran, and the phenomenal food, bourbon AND wine selections! This place has one of the biggest bourbon collections IN THE COUNTRY! We tried it all!! The garlic shrimp, the Pork without a Fork, the Tomahawk steaks, strip steak, alllll the sides, and a bread pudding to die for! Everything was delicious and everyone was entertained by Kiran, who played Bourbon Trivia with us and gave out some great gifts! Will 100% be doing business with this restaurant again. We have friends who like to experiment with new restaurants. We saw this was nearby and new, so made reservations for 7 on a Saturday night that we were able to make at 5. That should've been our first red flag. We walked in at 6:30 thinking we'd go to the bar while we waited for our table, but the place was completely empty except for maybe three tables occupied, and there was very loud live music. Four people were given two food menus, two drink menus, and a tablet with something like 50 pages of hard liquor listed. So we asked for more food menus. We were seated and our waitress who was maybe 19 took our drink order. We ordered a bottle of red wine that was $70 to share between three of us and a beer for my husband. The waitress brought the wine which had already been opened and, while we were talking, she poured nearly all of it in the three glasses. Condensation immediately began forming on the glasses, because the wine was so cold. We told her we didn't want cold red wine, and she said all of their wine was refrigerated. We told her we were not paying $70 for cold wine and that we wanted a different bottle. She left and came back and told us that while they have wine that is not chilled, she already opened this bottle, so that's what we had to take. We asked to speak to a manager. She left again and came back and told us that he was "making the rounds with other customers "and that he would get to us shortly. We waited about 15 minutes with no further interaction with anyone. In that time, we perused the menu and saw that they had steaks on the menu that began at almost $50 al a carte. Side dishes were $10-$15 each. With the horrific service we had received at that point, coupled with the lack of popularity of the place, we decided not to take this experiment any further and got up and left. None of us had done this before. It was that bad. Update: Owner messaged me privately, accusing us of stealing, and also revealing that his hostess, apparently sat us for dinner in the "lounge." I'm copying/pasting here. I guess he got tired of responding to all the bad reviews publicly: Koran G: We apologize for the way our server served wine. It shouldn't have been that way. But walking out of the restaurant without paying bill doesn't make it right. It's called stealing. Your husband had beer and you should have offered to pay for that. Nope....you just walked out cause you could. You sat in a lounge and at dinner time most guests sit in dining room and you couldn't see them as you are otherside where I was taking care of guests. Just because there is a problem with our server doesn't make your behavior Right. My response: my husband didn't drink his beer, waiting to have our issue resolved. Nobody AT ALL attended to us from the time we requested the manager until we left,which was more than 15 minutes. If the manager was that occupied taking care of problems, we did the right thing by leaving. This spot has potential but folks come to restaurants to be served/waited on, not to wait to be served. The restaurant is way understaffed, not properly trained, and just a weak top-down management. Hopefully this is corrected because it is a neat restaurant that could be good. I read the reviews before coming so I knew what we may walk into but we had a gift card to here so decided to go anyways. Plus, we thought maybe some changes have been made since the previous reviews. We went at 6pm on a Friday and I had put my name on the waitlist around 4:30pm. When we arrived the host said she had no idea about that list but could sit us three at the bar which worked fine w us. The large L-shaped bar probably had around 30+ patrons and there was only 1 bartender serving them all. At the one end of the bar the owner of the restaurant was strictly making the drinks for the servers for their tables. When he had to go do other owner/manager activities then the poor servers were waiting long periods of time for their drinks to be made. There were so many times that folks at the bar were trying to order a new drink or just get their check but they couldn't get the attention of the bartender or he was just overwhelmed. There was also no bar back help at all for the bartender so he started washing cups while tons of customers are wanting drinks. Just so under staffed at the bar and I am sure elsewhere on the dining room floor. Both the bartender and owner were both very nice, they just needed more help. We ended up getting a couple appetizers and a couple drinks each and decided that was enough for us. We went home and ordered take out on our way since we were still hungry. We had the spinach artichoke dip (which was just ok) and then the dry rubbed wings (also ok but for $15 a little steep). Some of the entrees looked very good on the menu but no idea if the rest of the food is good or not. I would say the prices are pretty high overall, whether it's drinks or food you are getting. If I hear the staffing/service issues are fixed I would come back but until then I don't think I can visit a restaurant/bar that cannot get the simple task of serving down. read more

We tried this place out today after hearing good things about their drink selections. The drinks were good. I asked our server to create something for me, my boyfriend has a happened whiskey flight and my cousin some high end bourbon. That's the best they had to offer here. The food was not it and service was a bit lacking. Everything took so long and we were there early with only a couple more tables present. We ordered the chicken fried oysters which were ok. For our entrees we initially ordered the Salmon dish and two buffalo burgers. However we were told that there were no buffalo burgers and that all the parts of the salmon dish weren't available. So we ordered beef skewers, Philly cheesesteak sliders, truffle fries and the filet mignon. The fries, the beef skewers and sliders were ok. Unfortunately, the steak was not impressive and this place is supposedly known for steak smh. I also ordered mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I made the potatoes and steak work because I was starving but I could not eat the brussel sprouts and neither could anyone else. I read the reviews and knew what I was walking into but we still tried. Next time we go, we will just get drinks and maybe fries. I would advise anyone else going do the same. read more

We sat for a drink at the bar since we were early, ordered 2 smoked old fashioned drinks, and those were great (only reason to give this place a 1 star). When our reservation came up, they had given our table away and sat us at a bar table instead, where we were not even greeted by the server for 20 minutes. He kept walking by to every table around and next to, except us. Finally we got up and sat back at the bar because the hostess said the bartender and the manager were there and would help us. 10 more minutes went by there and they too didn't even attempt to help us. It wasn't till we started calling other restaurants for reservations that the manager came over but didn't even try to rectify the situation. Barely even said anything when we told him what was happening. If that's the leadership running this restaurant.... Good luck! You're not going to make it. This place was a fantastic find! We came in as a group and ordered a large selection of appetizers, they were all very good and the service was very quick. We ordered and split 3 different steaks, including the giant Tomahawk, all were perfectly cooked, but I will admit the Tomahawk could have used a little more salt, but that's not that big of a deal. The Whiskey and Wine list was incredible. Some of the wines are incredibly rare to find and after a short conversation with the owner, he really is an aficionado! So, yesterday my wife and I were running behind schedule and thought by the time we went to the supermarket and got home to cook it would be too late and a whole mess to clean up. So, we decided on takeout for the family. Not wanting the usual grub in proximity to our house we were trying to think of a different place, that's when BB popped into my mind. I saw it on Facebook and it recently opened in the old "Hitch" location. The Hitch was also mediocre. Anyway, we stopped in and went to the bar to order a drink and some takeout (after all in COVID times everyone has to master takeout). The ambiance was similar to the Hitch except the nautical theme was gone and it now revolved around Bourbon barrels. The first drink (vodka and soda) was fine although the glass was half full, I believe by design. The drink tasted fine. We did need to ask for limes, he remembered those on the second round. We placed our order, and it was extensive as we decided to get some wings and chicken strips for the kids lunches today. So, during the second round a waitress comes out with a cardboard food container, and says, you ordered chicken strips. I replied yes it's to go, can you please bag it up with the other items, we have an extensive order with apps, salads, & entrees. Her reply, we don't have bags. Needless to say, there was a back and forth that led me to asking for to take it back to the kitchen and send the manager (our waiter & bartender) over. He never came over, he came out of the kitchen with the food bagged up. Of course on review, 2 items missing, this leading to another 15 min wait while out food got cold on the bar. Fast forward to home - It's been quite a while where I find, and the rest of my family, food so repulsive that we didn't eat a third of it and threw most of it away. The filet was the closest thing to edible, although ordered med/rare, it was closer to med/well. The "Pork without Fork" that I ordered was so dry and tough that I barely got through one. Advertised as falling off the bone, it was burnt to the bone. Wings and chicken strips reported to be dry and over cooked. Actually the best thing was the mashed potatoes, but as my wife noted they will go broke with the amount of saffron garnish compared to the price (apparently saffron is expensive). On a positive note, the bar area was clean and nice, and while there a jazz quartet was setting up and in our extra wait time we heard the first few pieces of the first set, and they were pretty good. Overall, might recommend the bar for a drink and music. But not even sure I'd give them another chance on the food. read more

It took him another 20 to make the correct drinks. Then once we got the bill, the bartender charged us for drinks we never got, overcharging us for the drinks we did get and was hesitant to correct his mistake. Service was slow ans lacked knowledge - made excuses about a confusing menu and lacked teh abilioty to accomodate something that did not fit into their mold - my wife asked for a modification to an unclear menu option and was denied her request. 4. Beverage prices for bourbon and wine - way out of market - ridiculous by the glass prices - $ 60-$110+ per glass? For a restaurant that positions themselves as up-scale, they fall into the "wanna-be"category. People that worked there were very pleasant. Party of 9 seated immediately by the gracious owner. The menu had us all looking forward to a superb culinary experience. Everyone in our party had a drink and appetizers which were delicious. Now for the downside. We sat there for over 2 hours. We kept trying to place our orders for the entrées we had painstakingly chose but each time the waiter refused to take them with a repetitive "not yet". Every time we needed him there was either a huff or eyeroll that there was no attempt to disguise. At the end of two hours we as for a definitive time that we would be "allowed' to order. I would not eat here ever again. I am not really sure where to start, so I will just post the biggest issue. My Filet Mignon was ordered medium rare, however when it came out and I cut into it, it was Medium to medium well. ( I think I might have eaten a small bite but can't remember.) I sent it back and asked for asked for medium rare. No big deal. He brought it back out a few minutes later and asked if I would like to take it home since they were just going to throw it out anyway which I accepted and asked him to box it up. The manager (may have been the owner) came over. He Was very nice and apologized and offered a free drink while I waited. He also offered dessert to which I said was totally not necessary- but a drink while I waited for the steak would be great. The drink never came. The steak came back out about 20 minutes later and it was great. As we were checking out, I asked about the boxed steak because they could put our left over sides with it and the server advised that it was not available because 'The chef refired it and sent it back out.' To which I repeated back to him- 'You gave the food you served to me to another customer???' He responded- yeah- you didn't eat it, did you?' I've never heard of such a thing not do I think it's even allowed by food service standards. They did have an extensive bourbon menu. The cocktails were good. We were looking for a nice place for lunch. We stopped in and had a seat, ordered iced tea and then looked at the menu. OMG, bring money! The menu has small plates, regular plates and entrees. We ordered small plates and honestly the food was good. But we ended up spending close to $80 for lunch. Ice-T was $5, there was a kitchen service charge of 5%, horseradish on the side was $4. The atmosphere was upscale, the staff was exceptional, but I can think of several other restaurants where the food atmosphere and staff are just as good but considerably less expensive. Came to celebrate a bday during happy hour. Arrived at 430 on a Friday and it was dead. Our server was very nice and attentive, but the vibes at the restaurant were a bit off. Asked the bartender a question and her attitude was unappreciated. Overpriced menu, but happy hour was okay. Probably only returning to have hard to find liquors like Pappy. read more

I have to say, Bourbon Boulevard was a disappointment for me. I expect a markup at a bar/restaurant, and understand the need to maintain stock. But c'mon, the price of pours is way too high for most of that list. And so many 1/2 oz pours, some $100?? Thats a $300 standard pour. Both of us had the pork belly appetizer. $18 git me one 1 inch piece of pork belly that was not well prepared. The fat was not rendered properly, and had the consistency of phlegm. And heavy, sticky grits that were lumpy. The menu says maple sriracha, but tasted like BBQ sauce, and no heat whatsoever. Service was slow. Ambiance and decor is very nice. I was in town for business and was thoroughly impressed with this location. The place had a live band playing calm and soothing music. The smoked old fashion was prepared at your table and left a nice smoky smell afterwards that reminded me of campfires and s'mores. The taste itself however wasn't anything extraordinary. The charcuterie board was diverse in meats and cheeses as well as a healthy portion of nuts. The toast had a peculiar salty flavor that paired well with certain cheeses but not with others. For my main course, I wanted something not too heavy, even though I had read that the restaurant was more known for its steaks. I chose the lamb shank and it tasted even better than it looked! The meat fell right off the bone and was so soft and juicy and the mashed potatoes did well to absorb the juice. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and I hope to come back the next time I'm in town. read more
