Decided to try this place with my husband as he loves bourbon. We made a reservation for 8 on Saturday night. It was not very busy but we were seated right away and taken care of promptly. He had an old fashioned which he loved and I had the prosecco. The drinks are pricey as expected but seems to be worth it. We had the 'steak frites' for dinner and it was a perfect amount of food. The salad had some kind of dressing that was very light and refreshing. The steaks were perfect. Melted right in my mouth. The fries had a fantastic seasoning! After dinner I even had room for dessert so we tried the honey lavender ice cream and the macaroons. The servings were very small (my one complaint) but were both delicious. Honestly was hoping for far better based on the pictures & a few reviews I read but our experience was less then thrilling. I can start with who I do believe is the owner or at the very least manager ( dressed to the nines! and attitude sorry if you are in the service industry and you haven't been shown disrespect Don't show your patrons a lack of respect. The wait was for our order was ridiculous and it wasn't busy which is why I even bothered to asked to speak with anyone, the food lacked any real flavor in my opinion, another restaurant just down the way was far better. The ambiance is pretty great but the bourbon was extremely poor. I payed $10 for one ounce of Basil Hayden Toast (an outrageously high price for a $45 bottle of bourbon) and could barely taste the bourbon at all as it had been watered down. I then switched over to an Old Fashioned (my go-to drink of choice) with Henry McKenna 10 year. The Old Fashioned was $20 of watered down bourbon and among the worst I have ever had with an Old Fashioned. It claims to be Angostura bitters, orange bitters, and brandied cherries, adding another $3 for making the cocktail. I couldn't taste bitters whatsoever and the cherry added zero flavor itself. It was impaled on a toothpick and just dropped in. We are now at $20 for the bourbon and $3 for making an Old Fashioned which I could tell no distinguishable difference in from the "straight" bourbon itself. When taking the order the waitress asked if I would like it smoked I obviously said yes. Given the option I always go with smoked because it adds so much complexity. I hadn't seen this option anywhere in the menu so I was excited that they could do that. She didn't tell us that was another $3 upcharge. Ended up paying $26 for a weak Old Fashioned, $12 for my wife's White Russian which was also watery, and $10 for watery Basil Hayden. If this sounds like your kind of place then go for it. If not, please consider looking for one of the other bars within a few blocks of this one and enjoy bourbon the way it was meant to be enjoyed. read more

was recommended this place from a friend because the espresso martinis were so amazing. And despite the fact that the espresso had amazing foam and fantastic flavor. The waiter charged us three dollars extra for Bailey's when he recommended it to us without asking us if we wanted to pay extra money, which we would have if asked! we were then disappointed because the credit card machine broke down and instead of maybe offering us free shots they just made us wait as we made us wait 30 minutes, amazing tini just better service ! read more

We went to dinner here because we are avid fans of southern charm and wanted to support Leva. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience. Our food was cold , not good. (shrimp and grits). The lighting was too bright , the waitress didn't really know what she was doing , and it was an overall big bummer! We came all the way from Seattle and Charleston is full of great restaurants, we wasted precious time dining here . the small round tables made it very awkward to have dinner with 4 people - and the entire restaurant feels like a bar - stick with a bar and don' even try dinner is my advice ! read more

The only reason I am giving it one star is the food was good. Kudos to the Chef! It took 45 minutes for anyone to come to our table to even bring water and finally a drink order was taken at a 4 top table. The first incident we ordered a dirty Martini and asked if you had blue cheese olives and the server Britanei E said I can bring you blue cheese. We asked if the bartender couldn't stuff it she said bar and kitchen were separate. So we said hmm. We were completely ignored after that, as other tables around us received service. We ordered a bottle of champagne which was poured once and had to continue to serve ourselves. We asked for water and it never came. I reached behind me and got my own. Honestly it was not that busy. There were 3 Managers on the floor who knew we were unhappy as I spoke with two males and they ignored it and finally I went up to the bar to pay in the end when I let the female manager know a special occasion was ruined by your lack service. My parents are locals in Charleston and I understand you think oh not a big deal but we have never experienced an event like this. I think you feel oh tourists but my family has been here for 20 years and know several top 10 chefs and owners . We thought this would be a fun spot to celebrate a birthday. But we're let down! Came here for a date night. It's a bit pricy. The food portions are small but GOOD. This is a place you come for happy hour with the girls or guys or even just for a quick stop before heading out to other things. The drinks are unique. I got a champagne flight & a charcuterie board. Came here and spent $100 and didn't even eat. The naan bread was burnt and ordered a salad and the two main ingredients were gone and they didn't bother to tell me they were out of blue cheese. The waitress was very nice but so disappointed in the service and the management. The manager came and apologize and the end he forgot to tell the waitress then he only deducts $3 off considering they saw we weren't even eating the food. He was on day 4 of working there and he was a GEM! I usually don't post reviews but I want to let the owner or top management over the management that was there that night we were there with to know the experience that we had. We came to this place for my sister's bachelorette and unfortunately did not have a good experience. For starters, we were forgotten about after putting in our order and were waiting a good two hours to receive dinner. Finally a nice gentleman asked us if we were ready for dessert when our response was we are still waiting for dinner. Our reservation was for 7:45 pm which we sat at 8:00 pm and we weren't served our dinner till 10:00 pm. There was also a crowd at the bar by our table which crowded the space between people walking by and our table. A man spilt my friend's drink from across the table all over her and just kept walking and didn't apologize. The only person I really have to give a shoutout to was Lizzy for saving the day and making us feel heard. She immediately took over the table and even gave us champagne as an apology for the drink spilling (not her fault) and the forgetting to put our order in. Also, not one time did the manager come by to see how we were doing to see if there was anything to do. He passed us by a few times and didn't acknowledge us or even apologize for us waiting two hours for food or to be forgotten about. Honestly, I felt that we were just a number in the restaurant and no one was attentive to us or even cared besides Lizzy. If you are management I would like for you to acknowledge how caring and how great Lizzy is at her job and tried to turn the situation around (the forgetting of food, the drink spilling, the switching of waitress, etc. which had nothing to do with her) But truly the one thing I was disappointed about was management for not even stepping in to say a hello or an apology or see if there's anything they can do. Lizzy was the one doing all of the saving and we weren't even her table. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life and am really disappointed with management. We paid top dollar to be ignored, served late, and to be treated like we were just a number to get money from when it was supposed to be a special evening for my sister. My husband planned a birthday trip for me to Charleston and booked a table at Bourbon N' Bubbles for my birthday dinner. The establishment itself seemed to have a nice ambiance. The hostess acknowledged my birthday upon arrival and we were quickly seated. We ordered drinks and our entrees: chicken Cesar salad for him and a burger for me. My husband's meal arrived well before his drink and a good 10 minutes before my meal. It took us about 5 minutes to get the attention of our waiter to share the issue - it was not all that busy or crowded. When my meal finally arrived, I was excited to bite into my medium well burger only to find that it was rare. We tried to find our waiter who was nowhere to be found and ultimately had to flag down someone else passing by who turned out to be the manager. She offered to have the burger cooked longer for me - at that point, my husband had finished his dinner, I did not want to wait any longer and did not want to eat alone. We were offered a bread pudding dessert for the hassle which wasn't on the menu. The dessert that arrived was a bite sized with a small scoop of ice cream and one spoon for two people. We did not even try to find someone for a second spoon because we knew based upon the service for the night, the ice cream would have melted first. The burger was removed from our bill. I wish the experience could be removed from my memory. It was highly disappointing and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
