Have you tried the new menu at Coterie? Now Lark at COTERIE with Chef Zach Woody who's bringing the delightful taste of Modern French cuisine, with seasonal flavors, to our palates. I was attending a monthly meet-up and just arriving at the entrance sets your mood. Located off the hustle and bustle of King Street sits this hidden gem in downtown Charleston. Their warm, inviting space features an outdoor bar, surrounded by lush greenery, and warm string lights creating such a magical and relaxing vibe. There is outdoor dining on their covered patio which is great for any season. Heaters to keep you warm in the winter and fans to cool off those hot summers. We started the evening with drinks and laughter. Saquan and Riley we're shaking things up and keeping our palates wet with their beautifully crafted cocktails. You should definitely try 'New Best Friend' it was light and refreshing. For dinner I ordered the Flounder with a rutabaga puree, pecan crumble, olive, and tarragon sauce. Delish!!! Paired it with a Negroni to end my evening. After seeing other bites that were ordered, I know I'll be returning again soon. I most definitely want to try the Beef Tartare with blue crab, caviar, and champagne sauce and the Scallop Ceviche. You'll have to check them out for yourself to experience the harmony of flavors dancing on your palate. The service is always friendly and they make you feel like family. It's an experience that won't disappoint!

Sip sip hooray! They have released some new cocktails, and these are delicious fun and flavor forward. When is the Caprese martini and it is savory and taste like a yummy ripe tomato simply delicious. I love a sip with a bite so bonus points because there's cheese as a garnish. They also have a cocktail called Roots & Rituals it has Lemoncello and it's delicious. I feel like it taste like Summer would taste. It's good and cool and citrusy. Then there's 100 years later that comes as a total smoke show and we love an experience with a cocktail. Its rich and Smokey and I am all about it. The bartenders there are so fun and engaging. This is a perfect place to go at night. it's outdoor patio with lights throughout it gives garden vibes and it's the perfect place to have a summer night out in the city.

Mother's Day Brunch at Lark at Coterie. Cute little restaurant downtown that's deceivingly bigger on the inside than expected. Cinnamon bun was a hit! Kids ate the grilled ham and cheese on sour dough bread and both finished the whole thing. Justin and I both had the steak and sunny side up with potatoes. Yum. Very good flavor! I was able to get mine Gluten Free. They finished it off with the strawberries/cream/ice cream. After walking we came across Republic Ice Cream shop with a sign "Gluten Free waffle cones" so it was a must for me! Last stop - Half Moon Boutique. I would never have known this store existed if it wasn't for someone drying off the stairs. So cute-got a necklace for myself another great day in Charleston. #charlestonfoodandwine #charlestonfoodie #coterie_chs #republicicecream #harvestmoon #shopharvestmoonhome

Steak & potatoes - yummiest potatoes I've had at a restaurant in a long time.

You get a new glass with each new pour. You choose which wine you'd like & how much you'd like. I appreciated that I could do tastings of various wines. The QR code gave tasting notes, so I could choose what I might want from there. The food was also delicious. The meatball had a cinnamon after taste which was interesting. The wait staff was not very welcoming, which definitely impacted the overall experience. When visiting a restaurant, especially one with such a great reputation, I expect to feel welcomed and valued as a guest. I was also disappointed by the inconsistency in the posted hours. The hours listed on the restaurant's website differed from the hours shown on Google, which can be very confusing when you're trying to plan your visit. Another concern was the payment experience. The restaurant placed two separate holds on my account--one for $1 and another for over $100. I understand that temporary authorization holds can sometimes occur, but having two separate holds was unexpected and added to an already disappointing experience. Hopefully, this was just an off experience, but based on my visit, I would hesitate to return.

There's a comprehensive cocktail menu and the French 75ish and the tiramisu martini were both delicious ($18 each). The prices are super comparable with other bars downtown. They have a full bar if you'd like a standard cocktail or any other creation I'm sure they could make it. Our server was great and very attentive. The kitchen stopped serving food at 10pm which I wish we had been told when we came in because I tried to order fries at 10:04 and was told I couldn't. Which I understand I just wish I had known. The place is pretty small and dark and very quiet so the perfect place for a calm nightcap.

I still drank it but it was a little sour than what I was expecting compared to what was described. I believe it was the tequila drink. I would go back to this place and highly recommend this place because the vibes were awesome. This place is great for people looking for a more quiet and sit down place. This place would also be great for date night. Definitely should be a place people should try if they're in Charleston!

They offer an impressive selection of wines both by the glass and by the bottle, making it easy to find something you'll love. While the food menu is small, every item feels thoughtfully curated. The black olives were the perfect snack pairing, and the peaches were absolutely incredible. We loved learning that the peaches are sourced locally and that the mint is grown fresh right behind the restaurant. The space itself is cozy and intimate, creating a warm atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. We can't wait to come back!

It was quaint but very inviting. I'm so sorry if I got your name wrong but I think it was Nicole? She was very friendly and told us about their specials and I love that they print a new menu daily as they rotate a lot of their wines. There was an option to do a "half bottle" which gets you just a touch more than a glass so we thought that was perfect for the two of us for just under $40. We got a nice and chilled Gamay and enjoyed our conversations with her. It's a nice place for a date, girls night or even if you want to sit alone at the bar. The team there makes you feel at home!
