We loved Bourbon Street when it was in Cherry Street years back and happy to see it back downtown, same ownership. We did the fried calamari to start with and a dozen oysters on the half shell. Both were wonderful and our main course was the blackened catfish over dirty rice and fried chicken breast over mashed potatoes with a seafood medley sauce poured over. Place has been open for about a week so I'll go easy. Truthfully, walking in, the Cajun ascetics of the live music and table top lights attempted to create a surreal experience of Louisiana. The friendliness of ALL staff sealed the experience. With a few, new restaurant glitches, this place has strong potential in competing with Nola's. Now the brass tax. As new as they are some issues are expected, others are nonnegotiables. Service was on par. Our server showed much sympathy to our issue of an undercooked hamburger. It happened, not a big deal; but if a cook cannot get the hamburger right, I normally assume they won't be able to get more complex dishes correct. In this case, although the burger came out undercooked, my fiancées dish, the Bon Ton, was tasty. They seasoned the crust of the chicken well. The sauce put on top complimented the chicken. Unfortunately the chicken itself was lacking taste. It didn't taste marinated or seasoned. Had they marinated the chicken in buttermilk with some spices, the chicken itself would've had a robust Cajun flavor that would have kept me coming back for more. And especially at the price, I was expecting more than a flavor crusted bland chicken with sauce. Now the sauce on the chicken was delicious. It tasted similar to the sauce of Bonefish grill has on their Bang Bang Shrimp. Returning to the burger: it was a thick sandwich consisting of the usual hamburger, lettuce, tomato, onion, with the addition of pork links. (In my personal opinion, if I don't see the animals play together, why would I eat them together? So since a cow and pig don't run around playing find the chicken, I personally don't like combining meats.) Next we got dessert: bread pudding with bourbon sauce. The sauce was delicious. It was thick and rich. The bread pudding had its challenge. It was hard and did not want to be broken. It took some time breaking through the tough crust but it was manageable. It probably needed more sauce and some penetration time to be absorbed by the bread. Mac n Cheese option: I choose Mac n Cheese over the fries. At first bite you can taste the homemade quality to it. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted a bit like fridge. It's possible the cheese wasn't covered completely. And although the server was super nice, the time to remake my meal took longer than when we first sat down and ordered. Yet even still, the time that it took to get our check after we requested it, took about 15 min before we got our check. Again these are kinks in a newly established restaurant that are easily fixed. read more

I like the place and the Bar. It's a fun place to sit. Service is usually better at the Bar and that was not necessarily the case. I ordered the crawfish étouffée but instead I was served the seafood Cheese dish. It was ok but not much flavor. I asked for small bowl of étouffée and it was thin and lacking crawfish. The saving grace was the bread pudding. It was the best and matches the original we had in Tulsa, years ago. It's a great place and I'm sure they will get the kinks out. I plan to do the happy hour and have the queso again. It was excellent. Service and ambiance were great. Cocktails where good as well. However, the food missed the mark for the most part. The alligator appetizer was really good, but the Bourbon Street special was not. The lack of blackened crust was a disappointment and the fillet was chewy. The Black Magic Catfish fell short with their etouffee and dirty rice. The dirty rice was sticky and gummy and the etoufee was a little watered down seeming. The catfish was cooked well though. Originally from California, I came to visit family here in Tulsa. After visiting a few sites in the area we found this place and saw it had great reviews and decided to check it out. It didn't disappoint, excellent food selections and with my wife being a New Orleans native she gave her approval for the crawfish etouffe. Decided to stop here before heading to a show at TPAC which is a short walk across the street. It was just me so I sat at the bar. The restaurant was very busy, and it took longer than expected to be served (which wasn't a huge deal to me) Despite that, the bartenders were excellent and worked hard to serve everyone. Since I didn't have much time I ordered the Oysters Baton Rouge and got a couple of drinks. 10/10 I can't wait to go back to try the entrées. I recommend getting reservations if you don't plan to sit at the bar. & just in case management sees this-- I recommend having at least 3 bartenders on the weekends to make it a little easier on staff and keep your customers happy. :) read more

Not that good. Hush puppies were way over done. The steak was way too salty that or the sauce. My wife and step daughter didn't eat hardly any of their meal. They said it was bad. Chicken and waffles. The place looks trendy but they need to step up their game or they will fail. It's just not very good. We were visiting Tulsa and decided to stop by and eat here for my fiancés birthday dinner. The TikTok reviews were 100% accurate with ratings they gave for the cafe. The food was delicious and we had great customer service from Bailey. He had the Cajun fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and I had the seafood pasta with Alfredo both were delicious but the Cajun fettuccine was definitely the best of the two! He even got a free dessert for his birthday which was bread pudding and that's literally the best bread pudding we have ever had. I love that the raisins were put on top and not in the bread pudding making it easy to remove if you don't like raisins. The ambiance of the place was nice. The lights were dim but not so dim that you couldn't see the menus or your food. There was live music on the other side of the restaurant that was pleasant to listen to. They barely put sauce on it, which would've maybe masked the dryness if it'd had more. And the shrimp that came on it...you know those $1.99 shrimp cocktails you can buy in Vegas and eat out of a cup? They were that size. About the size of a nickel....and only four of them. Will not return. Huge waste of money. Also our waiter was terrible but admitted it was his first week. First time trying both and I loved it. Catfish beignets were definitely a favorite. We shared the Beef & Bayou! Cooked to perfection & exactly how my partner loves it, medium rare. Crawfish ettouffe on top of the steak, best of both worlds. We also had their bowl of Louisiana Gumbo! Finger licking good. Decided to do our first visit here around 2:40pm (Happy Hour is 2 - 5). Parked in the lot immediately in front which could have been a mistake. We were shown to the bar which has several booths and a U-shaped bar with hard metal stools. It's attractive and has a huge large-screen TV. I asked our server/bartender Darcey about the parking and as I feared I can't use my Park Mobile app. It only works on street parking. I didn't want to take a chance so took a brief chilly trip to the kiosk in the parking lot. NOTE: Parking is evidently $8 for 4 - 6 hours (like I really need that much time to get happy). On top of that, the kiosk couldn't/wouldn't read my card after I entered my tag number. I wasn't going to move my car and explore for street parking. This is a deal breaker for coming here if they think I'm going to pay that much to use the parking lot. If I can't find on-street parking which is $1/hour, we'll go elsewhere. Aside from that, it was a pleasant happy hour. The music was the best (jazz/blues) and the bar is nicely decorated with photos including one of famous Oklahoman Chet Baker. My favorite partner got the Oyster Baton Rouge (6 for $19). She didn't want the raw oysters on the happy hour menu which are $1 apiece. We shared an order of Hush Puppies ($5) which were excellent. I got the Louisiana Gumbo ($12) which was very good. She got the Happy Hour white wine ($6) and I got an Abita Purple Haze ($7). We finished up with the Bananas Foster Cheese Cake ($12) which was perfect!. Came in on a Tuesday and sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender was pretty indifferent and it took a while for him to come over and greet us. We ordered a hurricane and vodka and a starter of the artichoke dip. The appetizer came out fairly quick but we couldn't seem to get the bartender to come over and take our order after that. We finally flagged him down and placed an order for dinner. We ordered the shrimp and hot chicken and it took over an hour to come out. During that hour we sat and watched the bartender and various servers use their bare hands to grab drink garnishments and plop them into drinks and on rims of the glass. It was disgusting to watch. We finally got the bartenders attention and asked him to check on the food. It came out moments later which leads me to believe it was just sitting back there. The food itself was pretty good, the shrimp and hush puppies specifically. But after watching servers use their bare hands in plain sight of customers, it made us wonder what was happening behind closed doors in the kitchen. The food was good, but the over all experience with indifferent and unhygienic staff, I would not go back nor recommend. If you do go, definitely do not get any type of garnishment in your drink. read more

I ordered Bon Ton it was supposed to come with the crab and shrimp and alfredo sauce over blackend chicken no crab no shrimp an overly cooked burnt piece of chicken on top of very cold mashed potatoes and the coldest pieces of zucchini ever I don't even want to say what was wrong with the previous order and the manager tells me that I have to deal with Uber and I understand it a refund sure but Uber doesn't cook the food the restaurant does and it's completely unacceptable read more
