This review is for 2/9/24. This place was only a 5-7 minute walk from where I was staying. The bar staff were very accommodating as well as kind and prompt. It seems as if everything on the menu was really good to try, but I came during the end of happy hour so I ordered the pineapple martini, Mardi Gras nachos, as well as crab dip. I rarely give five stars, but everything I tasted was incredibly flavorful as well as well proportioned. The pineapple martini was indeed good, but I like stronger drinks so for me personally, I would need a little extra vodka in that. The crab dip and nachos were seasoned perfectly, and honestly I had to take the crab dip back with me because I was so full from the nachos alone. I haven't been to Tulsa in maybe 5 years or so, but if I happen to have another work trip that involves this city, I will certainly have to return to enjoy their other menu options. If you've been to Bourbon Street Cafe in OKC this is not related and isn't even fair to compare. Immediately seated on Saturday night with lovely music from 7:30 to (not sure when it ends). Had a short stay in Tulsa on 11/16 and saw this place near my hotel. Like I always do, I browsed the menu, and this place has everything that you would find in NOLA, including a gator appetizer and po'boy. But, a good crawfish etouffee always catches my eye. So, that's what I ordered, along with a Caesar Salad. A typical wait time for the food to come out. Everything was great. The etouffee was hot (temperature wise) and flavorful. The consistency was perfect, as well. And the dirty rice was the perfect accompaniment. The restaurant wasnt very busy. I was the only one sitting at the bar. All's were very good but my favorite was the catfish. We also sampled several cocktails. One of the best old fashions I've had in a long time. We split the Bon Ton chicken for an entree. I can't express how good this is. Save yourself the trouble and just order it you won't be disappointed. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. Ok so Dave is OUTSTANDING as a server and definitely as a bartender! Seriously amazing customer service and drink skills and knows how to read his audience. The drinks were 1000% perfect, if you are questioning what to get? Tell him your preference and taste and he will ensure you get the best drink possible. Such a great personality and trust I'd hire him to work for me if I thought I could pay him enough and do him justice. So we started with the hush puppies and they are crunchy on the outside, soft and full of flavor on the inside and legit do not need the butter, but the butter is a nice add on. We both follow it up with a deep fried shrimp po boy and my husband had the pimento cheese bacon cheeseburger and cooked exactly as requested and those fries are baller. So much food I definitely over ate, and I would do it again. I'm totally bummed that I dug into my food with out taking a picture, but the food looks as good as it sounds here and you won't be disappointed. I did take a couple pics, enjoy! When first walking in there was absolutely no one to greet nor help me. Looked around and waited a bit then finally a waitress noticed and sent over the host. Went there with my husband for our anniversary. Mentioned that on the reservation but no one stated "happy anniversary." Or server even knew why we were dining and still didn't say it which I thought was odd. She was nice, food was quick, drinks were slow but good. We ordered the crab dip appetizer which tasted like a crab queso with breadcrumbs on top. As soon as I took a bite I felt like I wanted it with some sour cream which isn't the taste I'm looking for when I order New Orleans food. For entrees we got the salmon topped with crab and the chicken topped with crab and shrimp. Both items were cooked tender but the chicken did not have much flavor besides the cheese sauce on top. Also, the description off the sauces were different but the taste was like they poured the same sauce on both dishes, and honestly wasn't too different from our appetizer. Ordered a banana foster cheesecake and it absolutely was not bananas foster. It was a cheesecake with chopped bananas and caramel sauce. Decorations were nice, it was extremely cold where I was sat, I had to put my coat back on and the couple in front of us never took there's off. I went there because in their advertisement it states they are a jazz and blues restaurant, but was disappointed they had a live performer who did not play jazz or blues, it ruined the mood because I was excited to find a place besides duet that had live jazz in the evenings. Overall the drinks were good so I might return during a happy hour but the almost $200 I paid wasn't worth it. Wish I would have spent my anniversary elsewhere. read more

I was visiting Tulsa, spur of the moment for Labor Day Weekend and met a group of staff out and about Saturday night. They were super hospitable and of course invited me to come try the food. Next day I went for lunch got the fried shrimp po boy. It was delicious, the sauce on the bread paired very nicely with the shrimp. I got dirty rice as my side. Everything was seasoned well and very flavorful, the heat was subtle (at least my dish) which I much appreciated. The SHOWSTOPPER, however was the bread pudding!! 1000/10 I ordered the BIG one and boy was I glad I did. Even though I wasn't able to finish it all, I did take it to go with extra sauce on the side. Riley, was my server and she took very good care of me. Freddie (the cook) and the manager Candace even stopped in to say hello. There were no lunch menu or specials on this Friday and the menu items were a bit expensive in my opinion. I tried the Oysters Baton Rouge which was 6 grilled oysters with a buttery sauce and cheese (Note: I asked for no cheese) they tasted great but cost $19. I also order the chargeilles shrimp po boy which definitely is not made in an authentic Louisiana manner. It was topped with coleslaw, onions, pickles and a red pepper aioli sauce.
