Sazerac - 2/5 The Sazerac is intended to be a spirit forward cocktail. Mine was sweet as syrup. I don't know what happened here. It was drinkable, but totally unrecognizable as a Sazerac. Seafood Cocktail - 3/5 This was a weird one. Their "seafood cocktail" is a thin seafood and cocktail sauce based dip with chunks of avocado and a side of chips. We visited this restaurant while in Tulsa visiting family, and every single dish impressed us. I had the burger and it was absolutely fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the blackened catfish with crawfish étouffée, and he loved it. My sister-in-law got the alligator pasta and talked about how amazing it was the rest of the day, and my son had the Wagyu steak and said it was delicious. We finished with bread pudding and a slice of key lime pie, and both desserts were incredible. Great food, great experience--highly recommend! read more

My wife and I dined at the old Bourbon Street locations on 15th and out south many times in the past. Thus, we were excited to try the reboot with some friends. First, downtown - lively and energetic, but parking is an absolute mess. Sadly it almost makes me want to avoid downtown. Call it whatever you want, but it's my opinion. Bourbon Street was very busy on a Saturday evening. Several were waiting for tables, and we only waited a few minutes ourselves. We had gone to the bar only to be seated quickly in an open bar booth. While the server was pleasant, the service was slow in some spots. Initial drinks took a bit, and round two didn't come until we were finished with our meal. Three of us had a soup... two had gumbo and I had the crawfish bisque. The soups may have been the best dish of the evening. The bisque was creamy with generous amounts of chopped or shredded crawfish. It was very good. Entrees ranged from blackened salmon, to the seafood bake (think shepherd's pie), to my blackened catfish topped with crawfish etoufee and dirty rice. My wife's salmon was not really blackened much, and she wish she would have asked to sub dirty rice for the mashed potatoes. Our friend cleaned his seafood bake clean - so he seemed satisfied. My taste of it was fine, but not sure mashed potatoes and seafood are my preferred combo. My blackened catfish had promise. It was seasoned fine, but the fish probably could have used a few more minutes of cooking time. The dirty rice was good, and was the best part given the off-putting fish texture. Disappointedly, our second round of drinks, ordered when the meals were served, did not arrive until we were past finished. Our friends had a bread pudding, and that didn't last long. I passed, but it seemed to be enjoyed. Again, our server was nice - apologized for the delays, and did her part just fine. Live music started before we left, and it was a fun vibe, given we were seated in the bar area. I hope they can keep working out the kinks and sharpen some of the food preparation, as it would be great to see them make a long run. read more

If you can't cook rice, you have no business serving Cajun Cuisine. Both my gumbo and red beans and rice were served with hard rice. At first I thought it wasn't cooked, but instead I think it was a symptom of sitting around too long. The flavor was there, just got to tighten up that rice. Oh my! This was DELICIOUS! As a girl that grew up with Cajun style food, this has been as close as I've found without being overly heavy on the cayenne or red pepper! On a Sunday evening with my husband, we ordered different drinks: the Hurricane and the Forbidden Sour. The Hurricane was SMOOTH, citrus-y, and delicious (my husband's words). The Forbidden Sour felt very similar to a whiskey sour. I definitely got the sour hints, making it a good sipping drink. For an appetizer we got the Cajun queso. The queso was a little thicker than most quesos you would get but with the sausage and crawfish, there was none left! For our entrees we had the Crawfish Ettouffee and the Seafood Sauté. Both were the highlight of the meal. The crawfish Ettouffee was NOT heavy on the spice, meaning that it didn't overpower the food and I didn't need to chug water just to get through the dish. The Seafood sauté was light but very filling with a savory mix of flavors and a perfect balance on the mashed potato base. It had a etouffee sauce that was out of this world), salads were crisp and fresh. Ann went with the seafood sauté and I did the Bon Ton. Ann loved the sauté. The Fried Chicken in the Bon Ton was cooked perfectly, but could have used a little more seasoning in the sauce. We finished with a monster 7 layer cake that was moist and flavorful. Visiting Tulsa for a wedding and we are so glad we stopped at this place! From the moment we opened the doors and heard the music we knew we picked a great spot! What an awesome find in Tulsa! Having relatives from Louisiana I know Cajun, and this place is authentic. Cozy place with a New Orleans feel, a great jazz band in the bar. And it wasn't very loud! Pleasantly entertaining. The staff and food were equally impressive! Our waitress was nice friendly and attentive. The wife had the seafood pasta and she was thoroughly impressed! Scallops, shrimp and crab in a very good Alfredo'esque sauce. I had the chicken Bon Ton. A deep fried chicken breast in a shrimp remoulde sauce! Crispy, tender juicy!! Served with a garlic mash potatoes and steamed broccoli. Soooooo good. To finish we had the white chocolate creme brûlée! So good. Nice crispy sugar layer! The custard was smooth and delicious! This review is for 2/9/24. This place was only a 5-7 minute walk from where I was staying. The bar staff were very accommodating as well as kind and prompt. It seems as if everything on the menu was really good to try, but I came during the end of happy hour so I ordered the pineapple martini, Mardi Gras nachos, as well as crab dip. I rarely give five stars, but everything I tasted was incredibly flavorful as well as well proportioned. The pineapple martini was indeed good, but I like stronger drinks so for me personally, I would need a little extra vodka in that. The crab dip and nachos were seasoned perfectly, and honestly I had to take the crab dip back with me because I was so full from the nachos alone. I haven't been to Tulsa in maybe 5 years or so, but if I happen to have another work trip that involves this city, I will certainly have to return to enjoy their other menu options.
