We came to Bowlero to have some family fun and get the kids out of the house. It was a success. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no idea what we were doing. We were greeted by a young man at the front desk when we arrived. He explained how everything worked. When we were stuck putting our names in, he helped us from the desk, which was great. We ordered Pizza and soda. Pizza was ok, but the kiddos loved it. We were checked on regularly by the server/waitress. We visited the Arcade after bowling. The kids had a blast. We will definitely bring them back. We were told about a "Summer Pass" that we could get for the kids. We will definitely be back for that. That would be perfect summer fun for them. While visiting Bakersfield, we decided to go bowling on a Thursday at 6pm. Due to reservations and leagues, we had to wait a couple of hours for a lane. A billiards table in the bar kept us busy and we also spent some time in the arcade. Only one stall in the ladies bathroom had a working lock. The pizza was yummy. The bartender was fantastic. Went with my family to Bowlero, we went at 10 and noticed there was a long line but it was moving pretty fast. Once we reached the register we were having issues with the shoe rentals. We were told to sit on lane 28 and that it would be activated shortly. We sat for like 20 minutes and our screen kept playing ads. People showed up after us and started their games, we went back to the counter and asked how long before our lane would be activated. We were asked for our receipt and that we would have to wait even more because they needed the manager to help us. We asked for a refund and played in the arcade, kinda disappointed at the whole experience. read more

Not organized. There was 6 open lanes. We waitied for over 2 hrs and no one showed up to use those lanes. We waited for some other people to finish in 3 lanes so our family played on 3 lanes. I wish I would have checked the time when they open, but I didn't! Who in the world opens up at 1pm during the summer when kids and teens have nothing to do?! No one wants to bowl during the hottest time of the day. We were there at 12:30, and the people on the outside had told us hopefully they open. I know we don't have a lot of choices when it comes to bowling here in Bakersfield, but if you want returning customers, please step up your service in the bar/soft drinks area. When you see a customer waiting to order and they have to wait until you finish your chit chatting with another employee, it's not a good thing. The remodel is pretty decent, however that's about all there good with this place. There should've been more concentration during the remodel on repairing the lanes. The scoring system is outdated, and many of the control panels don't work correctly. The lanes are constantly breaking down every week we bowl. To top it all off, the manager is not fit to be in this position. He definitely needs customer service training, he is very rude and doesn't know how to control his temper. He is the epitome of horrible service. It's a shame because most of the other workers seem like they care. Also, the guy needs to wear a belt or pants that fit. When he went out on the lane to get a ball that was stuck, because the mechanic was working on the wrong lane, his butt was exposed when he bent over. Very unprofessional overall. read more

Food and drinks are great, and most recently I went with my coworkers for a team outing and we had exceptional service from Alex and the rest of the staff. Food arrived in a timely manner and it was hot and delicious! Bowling was lots fun between the two lanes we got and the arcade is fantastic as well. I often see signs and rarely do I see them personified in real life. There are many more names that should be added on but Becki, Daisy, Amanda and Alex make me smile often with work ethic, reliability and problem solving. "Empowered women empower women" I witnessed that statement on multiple occasions. From working open to close, putting up with disrespect and maintaining calm so well that other patrons stepped up and verbally recognized it, and finally getting the best effort out of the team by leading by example. We came on a Tuesday night thinking there wasn't going to be any big crowds. Front desk lady said there was 2 parties ahead of us. We waited 2 hours. Checked back with the front counter person re: the wait. No change. It wasn't until the party ahead of us let us know that there was a league going on. The staff failed to give us the heads up or an estimated wait time. We obviously weren't regulars. I confronted the lady who was helping us and she gave me a face before I even said anything. The weirdest place to visit. Getting searched by security, trying to get a drink and Ruben isn't very friendly. Some girls thought we were cutting in line and he didn't say we were his next customers. These hood rats obviously are his weirdo regulars and he said "these are their seats with no indication the seats were taken, he could have said "I asked them to come over so I can get their drinks they'll move once I'm done." Making us look like we intentionally stood where someone was "sitting." We watched him make our drink and he poured a 5 second pour of Tito's, which when we asked about he said he poured 1/4 of a bottle and said "that's not my problem." Beautify remodeled Bowlero. Super kid friendly on Wednesdays. Not super crowded. They serve pizza amongst other family friendly dinners. They even have a bar and a cafe. Loved brining my girls here. It's the only real bowling alley left in town, but it's frustrating that the equipment doesn't work. Balls get stuck, the arms get stuck. You have to stop and ask for staff to reset and wait for that to finally happen. Prices have increased dramatically, but the upgrading to the essential equipment seems to have been overlooked. We need new equipment for $6.50 per game please. read more

The servers are super F****** rude!!! Especially the one with the purple hair!!! She's so damn rude!!! Yelled at us because we had a question!! They told us the wait was about 30 mins. We waited a bit over an hour told them we'd like to cancel and once we were home we got the text saying they were nearly ready for us. It didn't make any sense. It wasn't busy at all.. lanes were empty... people were just standing around also waiting. Management really needs to train their workers to be organized and MUCH nicer. read more
