The service was great and very quick even with them being short handed. The ambiance was lively. Surprisingly for being a bar they had really good food. We all had the chicken sandwich and one of our friends had the fish n chips. We started off with the fried pickles, yummy! They have pool tables, tv's music, you name it. Best part is they are open late!

Do Not Go Here If You Have Children That Need to Be Fed We had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. After being informed that we couldn't be seated because my husband was parking the car and "everyone needed to be present," we still waited patiently for 20 minutes for a table as a rush of people arrived. Fine, I get it. However, once we were finally seated with our very hungry 15-month-old, we encountered further issues. We pulled out some Gerber snacks to keep our baby calm while waiting for our meals. Our waitress approached us and informed us that outside food wasn't allowed. We clarified if this policy applied to baby snacks, and she confirmed that it did. We were shocked. She reiterated the no outside food policy and claimed to be the manager, showing no empathy or understanding for our situation. The service we received was the worst I've ever encountered at this establishment. Both the "manager" and the host were extremely rude. I can't believe they would deny a simple snack to a child who was not disturbing anyone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place that clearly discriminates against families with young children. read more

While I'm not a fan of their German food (I'm Austrian, so hardly anything tastes like home) their Mexican food is delicious! My favorite has to be the cheese omlette smothered in green chili. When we told her we had never been in before, she welcomed us and shared some of her favorite items on the menu. We decided to split the turkey melt with chips and it was good. The snake bites were a nice starter. Jalapeños wrapped in bacon and filled with cream cheese never disappoint and the buffalo ranch that came with it was a bonus. Pours are strong and cheap. Happy Hour runs M-F 11-6pm with $3 domestic pints and $1 off wells ($3.75 for a vodka soda!) Filled with colorful regulars of all ages with a Touchtune selection that allowed them to joke with each other through song selections, had me laughing and singing along. Where else can you hear Loverboy's "Hot Girls In Love"? followed up by Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" playing loudly and proudly at noon? Near, far, wherever you are...I am glad we stumbled upon this No Name Grill.

The restaurant was pretty empty, which I honestly didn't mind or find too surprising. I will say that the server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, so my experience had nothing to do with the service. Unfortunately, the food itself was a different story. I ordered the potato skins as an appetizer, followed by the 8 oz. sirloin steak with seasoned vegetables and mac and cheese. The steak was easily the best part of the meal. I ordered it rare, and they actually cooked it correctly. I'm not normally a huge fan of sirloin, but with some chimichurri on the side for extra flavor, it was decent and probably the one part of the meal I didn't have much to complain about. The seasoned vegetables, however, were disappointing. There seemed to be some kind of herb or seasoning blend with seeds mixed throughout them, but somehow the vegetables were still very bland. I actually had to add salt just to give them some flavor. Honestly, I would have preferred plain steamed vegetables. I didn't even finish them, which says a lot because I'm normally someone who finishes what's on my plate. The mac and cheese wasn't much better. It tasted more like something prepared from a box than something I would expect to be served at a restaurant. It seemed like the pasta was boiled, mixed with a basic cheese sauce, and then topped with shredded cheese to dress it up. Mac and cheese is usually a pretty safe side dish, so I was surprised by how underwhelming it was. But the biggest disappointment was easily the potato skins. Since they were my appetizer, they unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the meal. Bacon and cheese are hard to mess up, but what makes potato skins good is the potato itself--crispy, salty, and flavorful. These had none of that. The skins were soft, bland, and lacked any crispiness whatsoever. They honestly tasted like frozen potato skins that had been reheated in a microwave rather than freshly prepared. For a hotel restaurant, I wasn't expecting a five-star dining experience, but I did expect the basics to be done well, especially considering what you're paying. The friendly service was appreciated, and the steak was cooked properly, but the rest of the meal left a lot to be desired. Would I come back? Probably not. Even with the convenience of having the restaurant right downstairs, I'd rather spend the extra money and gas to drive somewhere else and get a better meal.
