I've been to Boxi Park twice in the last week. The first time, my wife and I had some tasty frozen piña coladas and my six-year-old had a blast on the jump houses (Sunday Family Day). I noted the "food trucks" (yes, in quotes) and thought "this place is great!" We actually had the food on our second visit, which is why I'm leaving three stars which are all about the venue itself and NOT the food. The food was atrociously bad. From the cold and mushy Beyond Burger to the unappetizing grey meat on my "carne asada" tacos (which looked like shaved beef you'd find on a cheesesteak), it was truly awful. We threw away almost all of our food save for the tortilla chips. We enjoy the playground, the live music, and the drinks. But the food may be some of the worst I've had in a very long time. No idea why they don't invite actual food trucks instead of...whatever you'd call these. I feel like individual food truck owners may have more passion for their cooking and serve better than reheated Sysco products. Great venue with playgrounds, events, and drinks. My husband and I recently met up with my cousin, her husband, and their adorable baby girl at Boxi Park for a casual catch-up and we had a great time! Made out of repurposed shipping containers, Boxi Park provides a hip and laid-back ambiance with a lot of character. There are a number of eateries and libation-focused spots inside although I will say it feels unfinished, as if there's space for additional eateries that isn't being used well. The energy and atmosphere was fun, and it's seemingly a great family spot, but the food options are simply too limited...they need at least another 5 food venders, including Asian, to make it interesting. Was fortunate enough to be invited to Boxi Park for an Orlando Magic season ticket holder event. Free food and free drinks!! We attempted to order a meal from each of the food stations but were quickly defeated after eating tacos and a burger. Sorry chicken shack we missed out on sampling your food. But what's a great meal with out DESSERT?! FREE dessert at that. We stopped at the Before It Melts stand to grab some ice cream. I ordered the PBJ, I'm basic. The PBJ however, was far from basic. They were out of traditional vanilla, so they gave us black vanilla. They should consider using this as their main ingredient. It made the colors funky and probably tricked my mind into think they tasted better. It was a very solid cup of ice cream in the waffle cup. Enough peanut butter to add that saltiness but not too much where it over powered the entire dessert. Boxi park is sweet and I'd def go again. read more

Took a nice bike ride to Boxi Park this weekend to get some fresh air and be outside with this lovely weather. Upon arriving to Boxi Park, there was someone counting the amount of people entering into the food/drink area, which I believe was to maintain only a certain capacity. Many families were scattered around sitting at tables enjoying food, treats, and drinks that Boxi Park offers. There are a lot of different food "trailers" to choose from, with Asian foods, ice creams, bars and more. I decided to pick up a Blonde Ale from a bar in the area that was quite good. My friend picked up a "black vanilla" ice cream, which she mentioned tasted exactly like vanilla ice cream but it did have a black appearance. I was glad that everything was outside due to Covid protocols, but there were still a lot of tables and chairs that were fairly close together. Luckily we were able to snag one that was not too close to anyone else. I liked that they were keeping track of the amount of people there so that it would not be overcrowded, but did wish they spread the tables out more. We will still definitely be back but hopefully they've spread tables out further by that point in time. read more

I went to Boxi Park and am torn between a 3 or 4 star rating. Boxi Park is a pretty unique, outdoor spot. There is a stage for live music. There are restaurants and bars set up in shipping containers - much like a food truck experience! Tip: this is a cashless venue. Fees? Parking is free, $5 cover charge per person to get in. Fun? Yes! There was live music, a sand pit for volleyball, and several bars and restaurants to order food and drinks from. There is also a playground for kids and they are very dog friendly! However, it's quite loud and crowded, so please make sure your pup is okay in that type of environment. Seating? We got there at 8:30 on a Saturday night and it was very difficult to find a table. So how was the food? Everything was delicious, but the price was a little steep and you cannot make any modifications. I ordered 3 street tacos for $10 which were only 3 bites each (and I take small bites). I was disappointed that they put raw onions on top, but they won't take a request to leave them off... Chips and guacamole was $9. Birria Nachos were $19. Margaritas were $14, but very strong! So you got a good value there. Bathrooms? Odd thing to review on, but warranted! With this being an outdoor venue, it was nice that there was air conditioned bathrooms set up in a shipping container as well. It was a busy Saturday night and yet, they were very clean! Boxi Park is a great time. I've been twice with my partner and some friends to see a live Salsa band and both times were fun! I'll eventually learn to dance to participate, but as someone that used to be marching band, watching the live band and people dancing is enough for me to enjoy. The 2 bands I've seen there were amazing! (Blonde Ambition and Orchestra Fuego - Kudos!). They also have good food and drinks. This was our first time at Boxi Park. My wife and I were invited here for a Yelp Elite event that was held on a Booming Friday night. What a unique and happening place! Lake Nona is really starting to come together with the addition of this venue. Getting here is a breeze from Sanford; just a straight shot down 417 South to exit 19, take one left, one right and your there. Parking wasn't too bad either. Complimentary parking can be found in a an adjacent five-story parking structure within close proximity to the Park. Boxi Park is a 30,000 square foot outdoor district that houses a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, a large playground for kids, beach volleyball courts and a dog park. We really enjoyed the shipping container theme, design and layout. Everything is tastefully done and there is ample room and seating available to mingle, shop and enjoy. My first stop was Canonita Street Taqueria. I ordered the Baja Cali Style Fish which costs $8. You get two tiny tacos about the length of my index finger. The tacos included a small piece of fried fish, Pico de Gallo, pickled red cabbage, cilantro and lime aioli. This was actually my favorite dish for the evening. However, its small stature left me unsatisfied. My next stop was Claw and Order. I ordered the "Claw and Order Original" which costs $12.99 and included Poached lobster topped with freshly made Hollandaise, Japanese mayo and chives loaded onto a toasted buttered Brioche roll. This was a hardy hotdog sized snack and was truly delicious. I feel that the creamy sauces complimented the Lobster perfectly by not overpowering the main ingredient. Next up was the Grill Next Door. I ordered the $9 "Bacon Double Burger" and this thing was HUGE, Delicious and worth every dollar. Almost too big for my big mouth! However, I managed to chomp through each layer simultaneously without squishing the burger down on itself. Yup, I am that talented. On to dessert at Before It Melts! I ordered the "Double Chocolate Monster" in a waffle bowl for $5.50 and added Crispy Peanut Butter as a topping for 50 cents more. Well if the last three food items I just engulfed did not inhibit my Ketosis this delicious ice cream meal definitely pummeled it to null. I really enjoyed this dessert. There is very little wait time between the ordering and receiving process and you get a really great product in comparison to the overall cost. 50 cents might seem steep for an added topping but you get a lot for your moolah. I ended the evening with a stop to La Cajita for a Top Shelf Margarita which included Patron Reposado Tequila Cointreau and lime which cost $14. When did the cost of Margaritas get so high? I was informed that everything at La Cajita is made from scratch even down to the simple sugar but $14 is a bit much. Regardless, the drink was exquisite. A little sweet for my taste but delicious and strong. I would most likely refrain from purchasing again just because of the high price tag. Overall, this was an awesome experience. The only complaint that I have is that the music at Boxi Park is way too loud and is actually quite aggravating (minus the one star). I think that if they just kept the DJ music condensed to the stage area that would be enough. Regardless of this minor issue, we plan to return in the future to enjoy more of the amenities at Boxi Park. read more

I have lots of positives about boxi! One being that they are always changing the decor and live music around. This year they really did decorate for the holidays and it makes things so much better. It's a great place for family, a date or even to just go with friends. The food is all over the place and it is okay. I do not like seafood but I've heard the lobster roll is the best thing and now park pizza has a little food truck and it is 4.50 for a huge slice. We had the "Gordita" from the Mexican spot and it was horrible. But the burger and chicken sandwiches have been great. Best hang out place in Lake Nona! We came here after we played at drive shack, which was only a couple minutes away. There is free parking garage towards the back of Boxi Park. The vibe is so laid back with tons of tables, chairs, live music, and children's play space. There are also various types of food trucks, from seafood to dessert. We had burgers and fries from one of the food trucks. The burgers were juicy and big enough for an appetite. Their fries were freshly cooked too! Of course, we had to have ice cream from Before it Melts. We had to try their black soft serve ice cream. It was called "Black Out," which consisted of black vanilla soft serve with marshmallows, chocolate nuggets, and dried strawberries served in a waffle bowl. The ice cream was very instagram worthy! But just be cautious because the black vanilla soft serve can turn parts of your teeth a little black. But it was worth it! It was extremely great for a hot weather. As for drinks, we ordered some pop seccos which had Prosecco and hyppo popsicles. We also got the baileys milkshake. Both drinks were great for a chill night with friends. We came here on a Friday night for a Yelp event. Boxi Park is made up of eight shipping containers, each container has a different restaurant or bar. The park has a huge covered pavilion for a DJ or a stage for a band. They have plenty of covered parking in a parking garage that is well-lit and walking distance. For fun the park has two huge sand volleyball courts, a super cool kids playground. Ginga game and a foosball machine. Dancing and this park is dog friendly! We were given four tokens to try any of the food. I had the fish tacos which were my favorite $8 for 2. The portions are small on the tacos. I had the lobster roll $13. I probably would not get this again it did not have much flavor it tasted like Mayo on buttered toast. Bacon double cheeseburger was very good. $9. The peanut butter and blueberry-strawberry jam was over the top! $5.50. I would come here once a week for that! Overall this place was pretty cool the only thing I didn't like was the loud music. It was so loud you could not talk to your friends. I think they need to turn it down a couple notches after 2 hours I was ready to get the hell out of there! You can easily tell where this is located as soon as you drive up to the parking garage. There is a ton of parking and it's an easy walk with clear walkways to the area. The different venues area all inside of 'box cars' and it gives a fun, artsy vibe. They have everything from full meals, desserts, merch, games, an open sitting area and more! It's small and quaint place that has "food shipping containers" instead of the usual food trucks; which makes this place so unique. The best part is that there are several food-tainers (my version of it since technically are not food trucks, ). There's a variety of "food-tainers" from ice cream, tacos, grilled sandwiches, seafood, burgers, a few healthier options, including adult beverages such as beer and cocktails that you can have while listening to some cool live music or a DJ. At the center stage there's an open platform for those who dare to dance and party-hardy as if no one is looking or simply just just don't care! The atmosphere is a relaxing cool vibes and fun for all ages. I cannot leave without stating that my burger was not the best, actually I was disappointed, especially that the entire park smelled so good and I was very hungry too. This was my first trip to the Lake Nona area but definitely won't be my last! My love and I were feeling like a little adventure so we went for lunch at Boxi Park. Parking in the garage was so easy and the garage was clean and a short walk from our destination. We were here Halloween weekend so it was pretty busy. A band was playing and there were lots of families visiting that day. We walked around to find a table and grabbed some fresh squeezed lemonade. We pulled up the menus and narrowed down our choices. Mobile ordering was so easy and it was nice to be able to order everything at once. We settled on a small order of lobster fries, crispy shiitakes and Brussel sprouts, chorizo tacos and the bacon double. The tacos, fries, and Brussels were ready fairly quickly. The burger was done about 8 minutes later. The shiitakes and brussel sprouts stole the show! Wow! So delicious! The lobster fries weren't bad just nothing I'm ready to order again. The actual fries were great, but the lobster wasn't very much and the hollandaise was also lacking. The chorizo tacos were really yummy! Not overly greasy like I'd expect and very flavorful! The burger was cooked nicely but the bun kinda couldn't handle the burger. Get lots of napkins! Overall it was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed our eclectic lunch! We had a really great evening at Boxi Park. The weather was sweltering hot, but they had hydro-fans everywhere cooling it down. The parking (free in the nearby garage) was excellent and plentiful. The food was great and it was like a pseudo food truck evening. The drinks were flowing and the music was jamming. There were volleyball courts and a kids play area. It would get 5 stars from me, but I think it is a victim of its own success! That seems like a great problem to have. It was too crowded and I think it needs to expand! Seating was pretty tough to come by until after 10pm or so when the folks with kids started fading. The were plenty of Boxi employees fluttering around and that was great, but it was so packed that when we finally found a place to sit, we spent the rest of the time there either intertwined with the group next to us or stepping over people to get up. AGAIN, that's a success in my book. Your place is soooo good that everyone wants to be there! We're not shy people and this didn't bother us at all, but most people aren't as gregarious as the party I was with that night. There were 2 girls sitting about 6" behind me who didn't love our group as much as we love ourselves. I felt bad and talked to them a little bit explaining with the music pumping, several kids, and us just having to sit wherever we could steal some tables, it was what it was. They were cool, but you could tell it took away from their time. The lines got a bit long at times and sometimes the seating got mixed in with the lines. I saw some people get buttheaded (that's my word when you bump someone sitting down's head with your standing butt... hey... headbutt was taken!) and the like, but it wasn't super bad. I think they could use some more shaded areas (ours wasn't at all) and the kid's area could use some work. I like the kid corral, though, that's a solid idea! Put up a few more boxes to eat from and more seating or even a 2nd level??? We need more Boxi Park! The restroom trailers were clean and much, much, much, much nicer than expected. read more

Boxi Park is a place I try to bring all of my out of town visitors to. It has such a great vibe ... there's plenty of seating, different types of food, drinks, live music, and games. There's a parking garage around the corner that makes parking a breeze! I'm working my way through the different box cars for food. The Claw & Order box car is one of my favorites. It serves awesome lobster rolls and the menu is full of Law & Order puns. Fowl Play has chicken sandwiches that range from spicy chicken to buffalo to a regular chicken sandwich. The Grill Next Door is one of my favorites...they have great burgers and my favorite is The Chorizo. The patty is just so flavorful! Before It Melts serves up great ice cream. The Black Out sundae has a black vanilla base that is super unique! It tastes just like vanilla, and was really creamy. They have high tables and chairs and regular ones as well as adirondack chairs so everyone can chill out and let lose. They also have a volleyball court if u want to be active as well. Chroma is my favorite. There is also a pizza spot and people get to go from there and bring it over. There's also a Mediterranean restaurant as well. It's set up with multiple 'crate' restaurants similar to a food truck style, and to be honest, the food doesn't disappoint. I had the East Side Lobster roll and man, did it pack flavor and color. Although this is more relaxed/outdoor dining, if you want something more intimate you can walk to their neighbor and partner (same owner) Chroma, or eat some pizza next door to that. Superb evening at Boxi Park. We have been wanting to go because we have heard wonderful things. The venue location is really great. It is open and close to other great places in Lake Nona. First, bonus, free parking!! Free, parking, lots of parking, well lit and clean. We were kindly directed to this great parking structure by wonderful attendees that kept the flow of traffic safe for everyone. The parking is set up where lights above the spaces are green or red, red if no spaces available, great!! Boxi Park is a space where the greatest treats of life come together. Good food, good music and all in a space that is welcoming to both adults and children, even teens would love it. There are shipping container like food spots, The Grill Next Door for burgers & fries, Canonita Street Taqueria for tacos, the carne asada taco was sublime, Naughty & Nice has healthy juices and doughnuts, Claw & Order for seafood, divine waffle fries topped w/lobster. Fowl Play serves up all things chicken. If you have a hankering for pizza, across the street is Park Pizza and Brewing Co., for great drinks, Bar Nona, where we had a bourbon ginger lemonade that was delicious!! Service, was great, the tables were kept tidy by wonderful men and women, who asked to be pardoned every time they approached our tables. The bathrooms, we feared but we were pleasantly surprised, they were remarkably clean and tidy. Our favorite thing of the night was the music entertainment, brought to us by the premier DJ, Mr. Everywhere himself, Dj Arsonist. He was on fire, played a variety of music that both invoked great memories with the 90's playlist and provoked movement down to our bones with salsa, r&b, bachata, hip-hop, reggaeton, merengue and much more. He was fantastic, people were engaged and dancing. Marvelous!! We hope he is a regular and that we can enjoy it consistently. Boxi Park is a place for date nights, day dates, kid play dates, etc, it has something for everyone. We will be back. read more

Cute outdoor area with a good a handful of food and drink options to pick from. The burgers and tacos we got were pretty tasty although definitely a bit small for a meal, so maybe get an extra entree or two if you want to be full. I wish this area were a bit larger overall, but it was still very pleasant. read more
