a genuine disappointment in seeing the downgrade of this place. i have been here dozens of times in the past with friends and family, ordering and dining in. after not having their pizza for a while, i was disappointed with the huge amount of cheap, goo like cheese. it genuinely resembled more like slime, it wasn't even cooked like the rest of the ingredients. just goo. it was strange and ruined the whole pizza as it made it gummy. cutting corners is honestly disappointing when i would've originally rated this restaurant a 5 star. read more

This used to be our weekly go to pizza place, pies are tasty, but they just raised their prices and DANG! For the price of a 10" personal pizza, I could get a LARGE, stuffed crust loaded pizza from the chain up the street. Super super disappointed. Hands down our favorite local pizza joint. There's just something magical about their crust. When it comes fresh, it's perfection with slight crunch and chewiness, not too doughy and not too dry. We love the creative flavors and options. Their menu is limited but they do them all right. They even have a delicious cauliflower crust for those vegan or calorie conscious diners. Went to order lunch today. The cashier was rude and seemed annoyed when inquiring about the item I was planning to order. Once decided and was prepared to pay was told they do not accept cash. It's making customers uncomfortable and hard to move around. Don't be thrown off by the aesthetic theme of this restaurant by thinking it's just some chain with poor management. The friendly service and management matches the out of this world theme. Seriously do yourself a favor and go here, get the best fries in Virginia, and get the bbq chicken pizza. LOVED the pizza here! The Mic Mac and the White were what we decided to go with. The Mic Mac was a lot better than the White in my opinion simply because of it's uniqueness and taste. It was super spicy, but I could not get enough. I loved the noodles on the pie :) The White had much too much spinach on the pizza and it tasted a bit bizarre because I honestly thought the spinach was basil for the longest time... The onion rings and the cheese steak is what we really came for and then decided on the pizzas because of the Yelp check in promo for BOGO 50% off. The cheese steak was nice and juicy. The meat was plentiful, but the bread MADE that sandwich, it was chewy, yet solid enough to absorb all the flavors and juices of the meat. This is one of my favorite places, ever! The food is incredible, the staff is amazing, and the place is straight up adorable. On my most recent visit I went with the steak, pep, and cheese sub while my fiance went for the chicken parm sub. We both just sat there eating our subs in straight up bliss, unable to talk about anything other than how incredible they were. I will say, they are a BIT on the pricey side, but def a delicious splurge! Next time I will definitely have to try a pizza! Hoping that time comes soon! read more

Ordered take out including lasagna, Cesar salad and pepperoni pizza. Lasagna comes cold and is pretty horrible even when heated. 5 stars for food quality but 3 stars for overall experience. I absolutely love the food at Bozzelli's, so does my office. However, when the office places a large order via online for visiting clients and staff, multiple orders are incorrect consistently. For instance today, most of our orders were chicken steak and steak subs which should already come with mayo, but none of our subs had mayo. It's embarrassing for us when we rave about Bozzelli's subs to our visiting clients and their orders are incorrect. Especially when some people are allergic to onions and we requested with no onions. I really love Bozzelli's subs, very tasty and juicy. But I wish they knew how to handle large orders. Had the Metro Italian sub, and unfortunately, it was below average. One of the key ingredients to any good Italian sub is the roll, and I'd personally classify this sub's roll as just not very good...not the freshest, and very basic white bread lacking in freshness, flavor, and texture - no chew, no crispness. As far as toppings...cold cuts, a slice of basic deli provolone, 'shrettuce' on the bottom, and maybe a couple of slices of tomato and onion somewhere? The standard sandwich toppings are mayonnaise (on an Italian?), lettuce, tomato, and onion. Personally, I had them delete the mayo and add hot peppers, vinegar, and oil. The hot peppers ended up being 'hoagie spread' (or crushed hot pepper spread). Unfortunately, none of this could really save the overall dryness and blandness of this particular iteration of an Italian hoagie. My advice would be to move on and try something else on the menu. read more

The first time I went to Bozzelli's I ordered a personal pizza for lunch and was really disappointed in the pizza. I couldn't even finish it because it looked bad, was over sauced and wasn't very good. I would have given it 2 stars maybe even 1. I kind of gave up on it and never returned until I found myself in front of the restaurant next door, which was closed...I needed food...Bozzelli's was there. There was no way I was going to order the pizza again, so I was happy to see they are also set up like an Italian Deli. They had cold cut sandwiches and hot sandwiches, and now I had a choice to make. Roast beef, meatball sub, or steak and cheese. I went with the steak and cheese. It cost about $10 and wasn't the monster steak & cheese I was expecting, so kind of expensive. However it was very good. They have a happy hour with $2 PBR, $3 craft beers, and they have an all day every day special where you can get a BOTTLE of wine for $2 with the order of a large pizza. Great specials, but the location in the industrial section of Springfield puts it pretty far out of the way. And just to note, I glanced at a pizza people were eating in the restaurant, and it looked way better than the one I had my first visit. Note to restaurants, make sure you always make a good pie! I worked here for a year, ate here my first week, and now my last week...That leaves 50 weeks where I at at other places within a mile of here because of the 1 pizza. The restaurant itself is pretty cool. Its got a deli meets family-relaxing vibe to it. Friendly service, lots of customers, I can tell people in the area like it. I am going to try the pizza one more time, and if anything changes I will update my review. I'm hoping that first pizza was a bad bad bad bad day. read more

We got two pizzas; the Boom Boom Chicken and the Mic Mac, and both were delicious, but the boom boom was our favorite. The restaurant is super flexible with orders, as you have the options to do half and half, and can even customize the number of slices you want. We also had their tiramisu, it was delightful!! Delicious chicken parm sandwich! My husband and I both agree the best we've had and we grew up in Jersey eating in many delicious Italian Delis. The hoagie bread is soft so doesn't hurt the roof of your moth when you take a bite. The breaded chicken was delicious and moist and easy to bite into. The mozzarella fresh (not shredded) and the perfect amount of red sauce (small amount) and pesto. Just perfect and delicious!
