Tried out their current holiday popup and LOVED it!!! All of the drinks were unique so there was definitely at least one for everybody. The vibes inside were so cozy, vintage christmasy, and casually chic. They also had a lot of great appetizer options. The bacon wrapped dates and smoked trout spread were my favorites!! I thought they were a good price for quantity as well. We went during a pretty big event, and the bartenders were still super attentive and quick with our orders. Honestly I have no complaints!

Stopped in when a storm picked up for a drink and it has a cozy bar. The interior of the lobby is pretty cool, staff was nice - nothing more I could ask for.

Outstanding food and staff. Going through a bit of a remodeling of the space which looks like it is going to be great. Autumn and Michelle are two of the best servers in town.

Located in the Renaissance Hotel (with the bathrooms upstairs and not super convenient) this restaurant is a nice dining option in the area. The service was great (never had less than half a cup of water before it was refilled). The bread and olive oil dip was nice. We also got the Bavarian pretzels which had a great Gouda tip and a little fruit on the plate for a light snack. The flat iron steak was fine and came with chimichurri, but it also came with a non-listed balsamic glaze which really didn't pair well with it and wasn't listed as included or I would have omitted it. The steak was cooked well and was juicy, but the topping was really unnecessary. The potatoes were nice, but putting everything in a pile wasn't adding anything. Overall, the ambiance was nice, the service was good, the pretzels were great, and the steak was only okay, but I think overall it was a decent meal and would come back and try something else.

Came here after a baseball game against the Dodgers and it was very busy. Right across the river from the stadium. The bartenders were nice but for as busy as it was, there wasn't enough help. Everyone crowded together in this tiny restaurant. The food was good, especially after the stadium food and portions were decent for a small restaurant. I was expecting tapas but they were full entrees. Their short rib pierogis were delicious. I can see this being a place to meet up after work for a night cap if it weren't so busy. Also, it's the only place that was opened on a weekday game night across the way from the stadium.

I have not been in here in 10 years, but stopped before a concert at the Benedum. The bartender was sweet & efficient because it was busy. It's a small bar inside the gorgeous Renaissance Hotel. The cocktail I had called Lavender Haze was actually very good & I ordered a second. I had a burger which was a bit overcooked. I asked for no fries & got a side Caesar, they brought the fries anyway, which I was really trying to avoid. They were just trying to be nice by giving them to me, but obviously if I asked for no fries, I did not want them! Anyway, it's a hotel bar so food & service can vary. But convenient to stop at before a show at Heinz or Benedum.

Braddock's Rebellion was just okay in my opinion. It is inside the Renaissance Hotel (which is a beautiful hotel by the way). The service and food both were sub par and the bathrooms were on the second floor?! I didn't hate my meal, but not sure if I'd return anytime soon.

Another Pour Me Another event that topped the last one. Chef Nick focused on the perfect courses to pair with Italian wines. His bolognese sauce over handmade tagliatelle was perfection. The caprese salad changed my mind about how I felt about the dish in a good way. Sweet vine ripe tomatoes in mid-October made for a lovely dish served over hydroponic greens. The eggplant mezaluna was light and delicious and ended up in a carry away box. Panna cotta with fresh berries made me a believer. Five wines later, I can't feel my legs. Salute!!outstanding service by the team, especially Allison. Grazi.

I can only give a review on the drinks here. Mike, the bartender, can make a mean drink. He whipped up "thyme of the season" for me and I was in love. With the cocktail, not mike. I mean he was a great guy, but this is a family site, not tinder! The bar itself is inside the Renaissance and has a beautiful lobby just steps away from the bar. The cocktail list is creative and yummy. The food looked good too.

My wife and I and my parents who where visiting decided to eat at Braddock's Rebellion for dinner. The place is very nicely designed and the lighting is just right. The staff where positively fantastic. I had the filet mignon with potatoes and broccoli. We also ordered a pretzel platter for the table. The pretzels where delicious and I would defiantly recommend them as an appetizer. The filet was cooked absolutely perfect and tasted totally delicious. The waitress was fantastic kept checking back if we needed anything or needed more or anything and how everything was and if everything was ok. overall food and service would get more than 5 stars to bad I can only give them 5 stars. I would defiantly go back again and I highly recommend Braddock's Rebellion.

We had a wonderful meal at Braddock's Rebellion. The pretzel appetizer and our dinners were wonderful. My husband had the flat iron steak with potatoes and broccolini. I had the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta...mine was sooo good! The downfalls was our wait to get our drinks and take out order. Our waiter seems overwhelmed and overworked. The atmosphere was very nice but we sat at the table closest to the entrance. It also was a little loud. We were there on a double show of Hamilton on a Saturday. We would love to go back for the food and just hope for a little better service.

While visiting Pittsburgh we stayed at the Renaissance and Braddock's is both the bar and the restaurant here. Our first night we hit the bar after touring the University of Pittsburgh and we simply needed a break before heading up to the room. The bartenders were coming over to the tables to take orders and Wifey ordered a Bee sting, I had the Anderson Valley bourbon stout and we got some Bavarian pretzels for a mid afternoon snack. Pretzels and cheese dip were awesome and the drinks were on point. We stopped down here one other time while we were here and the bartender REALLY knew her bourbons...found me at least one new one to buy for myself. We ate breakfast here in the restaurant twice and while both breakfasts were quite delicious they were also quite expensive. Yes, I get it...it's a hotel restaurant, but I don't have to LIKE the high prices. Wifey had the cracked yolk sandwich both times and loved it. I had two eggs, bacon, awesome hash browns and really good bread with homemade strawberry jam. My second meal I had a ham and spinach omelet with hash browns and it was excellent-fluffy and tasty and the has browns were again cooked perfectly. Loved the bar, loved the service at the bar and restaurant, liked the food a lot, but the prices were simply too much.

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

This is a great place to entertain and throw some money at the wall to see if it sticks. If it doesn't stick - Fine - You'll still have a lovely meal. As I mentioned in a prior review, I was in these Pittsburgh parts to chat, to brighten the mood and to lend some of my low-end very niche expertise when called upon in order to showcase my stature as a boy with potential to become a man. I selectively stoop myself down as to not fall from pride as my venture into Hamartia. Take yourself seriously, not too seriously, says a wise man named Linguini. I subtly went into takeover mode as a few others couldn't hang nor could they entertain. I casually allowed everyone else to order as I respectfully decided not to fill my face in this fine establishment unless called upon to complete a plate. We basically tried everything on the menu so I have a true right to throw five stars. Tried every cheese. Scallops, crab cakes and the tartare were best apps, calamari solid as well. Of the salads I'd opt for whichever had the crème fraiche dressing. Of the entrees the standout was the short rib, but the strip steak did some business as did the black cod. We tried every single dessert as well. The candy bar was a crowd favorite, followed by the tart and toffee pudding. Now imagine this, all different taste buds across many differently lands (but not seas.) Everyone please with their meals. But does it really matter if they were? No. You care about if Linguini was pleased. Pleased I was. If I were to do it again, I'd drop the company - but keep the company card ya feel me? Real nice meal.
