    Eleven Grand Candy Bar

I've been here twice and the food is absolutely phenomenal. I love the assorted bread tray that they bring out in the beginning. Dinner itself is so delicious. I got the seafood tasting after heavily debating what I should order off the menu. I am really really happy with my choice because I felt like I got to try a little bit of everything. The staff at the restaurant is so nice and attentive (and answered my many many questions as I debated what to order on the menu). The dessert here is phenomenal and even if you came in just for dessert I wouldn't blame you. They are really creative and not just your run of the mill cake or cheesecake etc. Truly each one is its own work of art. If you are celebrating something, I think this is the perfect restaurant to go to. A bit of a splurge but I would say 100% worth it!

Strawberrry Smash cocktail-- husband loved his drink.

Upscale restaurant. Hands down one of the best meals I've had, the husb agrees to this. Definitely a special occasion restaurant. We celebrated our 10yr anniversary here for dinner & it was definitely worth it. Unblemished ambiance & service. We were at the restaurant side- very chic & intimate. They have a casual tavern area along the bar on the other side. And an upstairs section. When you look up, there's an entire wall of huge wine selection. For cocktails we had the Cosmopolitan & Strawberry Smash-- both prepared great! Cosmos are usually a hit/miss situation for me; this was really good though- not too tart nor sweet-- very well balanced w/ a mild hint of vodka coming through, which after a few sips hits you in a nice, soft way. Husb said the Strawberry Smash was bangin!!-- the sibona amaro in it stabilized the fruitiness of the drink. For apps, we ordered the Calamari- it was soooo good & crispy/crunchy, I had to prevent myself from stuffing everything in my mouth! I was a bit sad I had to share this w/ my husb lol. It came with a hot & sour sauce w/ lemon which overall made the dish unique. For entree, I had the Scottish Salmon, came w/ scallops & I added crab cake to it. Succulent salmon was seared w/ great flavor, the sweet corn & pepper mixed in a tomato vinaigrette on the side under the scallops was just unbelievable. The crab cake was cut squared, hands down one of the best cakes. The flavor profile for the entire dish together in a bite was incomparable!! Definitely order this. Husb ordered the Gerber Farms Chicken, amish chicken served w/ risotto, greens on top of thyme jus (akin to a thin gravy). The chicken was cooked well-- juicy on the inside & a nice roast on the outside; the risotto wasnt heavy & didn't weigh the meal down, the thyme jus's flavor was subtle & it elevated the entire dish. For dessert, we got the Chocolate Hazelnut tart & Eleven Candy bar. I legit relished & inhaled the tart despite already being so full. Husb loved the Candy bar. A huge slice of brownie/caramel candy bar w/ chocolate mousse phew! The pics explain how mindblowin' everything was! A real one-of-a kind experience. Ron was great in explaining everything too. Taxes they add to the bill: sales, alcohol & Allegheny tax which raises the end charge. A toast to the chefs & Mixologists here.

Went for brunch here. Lovely place, great service. Our server , Bobby, was great. Explained the menu and specials . Brunch is prix fixe. I got the sticky bun and steak & eggs. The sticky bun was good but not my thing, I should have gone with the avocado toast. The steak & eggs were fantastic. The egg was a boiled egg, fried with something crunchy on the outside and running yolk inside. Delicious! Hubby got the quiche and the eleven burger. The quiche was great. The burger , hubby didn't like too much, but it came with fantastic fries. Kids loved their waffles and fruit bowls. We also had mocktails - the pink flamingo was great! Overall a great brunch, take your time to eat and and enjoy the food and the go to the Heinz museum and enjoy the rest of your day!

Absolutely loveddd this brunch! We did the price fixe brunch and got 3 courses. The oysters were an add on and were fresh and delicious. I loved the Bloody Mary - the pickled vegetable garnish was yummy. The lox was very well balanced. The omelette was probably my least favorite item - the egg to topping ratio was off for me...I like more topping than egg, but the bacon and potatoes were crispy and delicious. The strawberries on top of the cinnamon bun were delightful. I would absolutely be back for brunch. We were sat upstairs in a very spacious both. Our server was wonderful and attentive.

We just arrived in town to find the place we wanted to eat at closed early. So thankful ELEVEN had bar/tavern seating. This is a very eloquent and romantic vibe. We could even see some secluded seating up top. Our server was very friendly. We ordered some app and my wife and I wanted to split a burger, but we both wanted different cheeses. So our server had the chefs cut out burgers and prepare it with the cheeses we both wanted! The sticky toffee was very unique. Our only experience with it before was Gordon Ramsey's at his restaurant so this was such a unique flavor. When we visit the city again, we would definitely reserve a table in advance to enjoy the full menu. I will say, many upscale restaurant in the area are going to have higher priced plates. But I do feel their menu was more affordable compared to others downtown.

Made it to Eleven for happy hour and it was amazing! As an aside, you don't need a reservation for happy hour, seating is first come first serve. We got there right when they opened and the HH area was already so full. The HH food and drink selection is excellent. The standouts were definitely the pear and gin cocktail and the pork belly with sweet strawberry glaze. Yum. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. We also loved being surprised with bread service. So delicious!

Eleven was great! My girlfriends and I went for brunch for my birthday and we had a really nice time! Very nice and clean inside. I was expecting a little more upscale but that's okay. The service was great and so was the food. The brunch is a pre fix menu. $40 you get an app, a meal, and a cocktail. Great price and great portions! I'm looking forward to going back for dinner.

Eleven is a restaurant I discovered last year and now have ate at three times since then, and each time I love it more than the last. I have not made it there for brunch or dinner yet because their happy hour alone keeps me coming back. The happy hour is one of the best I have experienced. It features $9 bites, $9 glasses of wine, and $9 cocktails. It is offered Monday through Friday from 4-6 PM, and the menu is easy to find on their website. One thing I love is that shortly after you are seated, you are welcomed with iced water and a plate of three different breads with butter. Every server I have had has been attentive, friendly, and consistently checks in to make sure you have everything you need without being overbearing. Each time the food has been absolutely delicious. Every dish has the perfect balance of flavor and presentation. The atmosphere and vibes are another reason I continue to return. Parking is also very convenient as they offer valet service. There are also paid parking lots and street parking options nearby. Eleven is a restaurant I will continue to dine at!

Quite honestly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The flavor, the temperature, the texture, the presentation. Everything here was amazing in regards to the food. The crab cake was one of the best I ever had. The steak and potatoes were unworldly. The deserts were hit or miss but nothing ordered food wise was less that a 10!

Beautiful restaurant on the inside. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My boyfriend and I started off the night with a glass of wine. He got a Cab and I got a Moscato. Both were very good and well paired with our meals. For our appetizer we got the Calamari. It was very light and flavorful. Its was lightly fried in Rice Flour so it was actually Gluten Free. I have not been able to find Calamari Ina Gluten Free version anywhere so it was nice. I got the Strip Steak with Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and house made Tater Tots. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. As for the tots and the potatoes not too much flavor there but there was some kind of jelly next to the steak and that made the flavor much better. My boyfriend got the Seafood Tasting and was super upset because they ran out of the Chilean Sea Bass and he was really looking forward to it. They did allow substitutes for that and the crab cake since it was not gluten free. All in all I think the restaurant was pretty satisfactory. I would rate a 7/10. It didnt wow me but it was nice to have Gluten Free Calamari and they did have a nice wine list and at the end they gave us a chocolate that was peanut butter and dark chocolate. It was yummy.

Eleven on a scale of fifteen, is how I'd put this. And I'll round up to 4 out of 5 stars (know your fractions). We were part of a larger party (9 of us) and we were seated in the upstairs area, which was nice as it was probably more quiet than the downstairs area. The service was great. The waiter was attentive with drinks and taking orders and dealing with a bunch of people catching up with each other. Kudos to the waiter. Drinks were killer... I ordered the Anejo Old Fashioned and I love it. I usually switch things up and try other cocktails, but I stuck with these all night. I wasn't driving so why not? Great cocktail and others enjoyed theirs as well. I did try another diner's old fashioned and it was good as well. Don't tell them though! I also backwashed into it! ;) The appetizers were pretty great too. That tuna tartare was one of the best I've had. The fresh ginger was a nice addition and gave it the punch it needed. The calamari was also good with the sauce being a little different than most versions (not just sweet chili or marinara). For dinner, I had the seafood tasting which was a mixed bag. The scallop was perfect and in hindsight, I'd probably just get all scallops. The halibut was good, but nothing stood out about it. It was kinda just there as part of the meal. The crab cake was disappointing and I'm glad I didn't just get that as a meal (I thought about it). It was just mushy and needed some type of spice of flavor. If you're not using big pieces of crab, then make smaller crab cakes so there are more crispy parts. I'd definitely go back and try some of the other stuff based on the other reviews here. Good spot with a cheap parking lot right across the street too! I think it was $5.

Eleven was quaint and elegant, and their menu matched the ambiance. The bread was SO GOOD! Our server brought our bread out at the beginning, gave us a run down of the different types, and told us we could ask for more at any point throughout the night, which we were sure to do! Their seasonal cranberry orange bread was so flavorful, and their classic focaccia was amazing! I ordered the braised short rib, which was accompanied by a bit of squash, Brussels, and gnocchi. The short rib was tender, and the accompanying sauce complemented it perfectly. We ordered the Chocolate Hazelnut Tart for dessert, which I wasn't a fan of. The chocolate flavor was overtaken by a very salty hazelnut flavor. I definitely wish we would have chosen something different, such as the Pistachio Tiramisu.

    Short rib.
    Johnny M.

Food was delicious. Servers were attentive and friendly. If I'm ever back in Pittsburgh, I'll be hitting this spot again. Table bread was delicious. Three different kinds served with butter. Scallops to start- cooked perfectly. Braised short rib for the main was very tasty.

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

BEST PITTSBURGH WING…read more We were absolutely not expecting this and still can't believe it. We didn't have major expectations but hoped it would be at least a top 5 wing and average meal. It was beyond that The French onion soup we saw online and everyone seemed to enjoy that. We're whores for it so had to get. I like mine a tad bit salty which this was and PACKED with onion chunks and breaded leeks on top. It was impossible to get a spoon fully without any inclusions. My new favorite The Tavern Burger. I'm coming fresh off 9 years without 5 Guys (elite) and this rocked me harder than that. This isn't a stupid smash burger. We got a juicy COOKED PERFECT RARE 8oz patty, topped with sautéed onions, and bacon that isn't crisped to smithereens. I like my bacon medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Then covered in one of the craziest sauces I have ever had, their gorgonzola cream. I could drink that by the gallon The wings.... I have never had a wing itself cooked more perfect in my life. The smoke and meatiness on them was so nailed that I could get 2 dozen plain and still have the same reaction. We got the Buffalo Garlic and Dry Cajun Ranch. These wings don't need drenched in sauce by any means or it would honestly ruin it. The buffalo doesn't ned to be creamy either. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese ration. The dry cajun ranch was a fucking knockout. For how great the wing is I would love to see more dry season options with them Cam got a Tavern Dip. I hate dips. I loved the shaved ribeye on it and horseradish, but I have never been an Au Jus man. Would 100000% eat it without the au jus Then the fries. Always team psoriasis through and through. Not sure if I'm coming off the Five Guys high but their cajun boardwalk style are even better. Get some spicy honey aioli to dip them in. Truly just shocked at how amazing this place is. Right over the bridge and cannot recommend enough going here before a game and walking over. Great spot right before, after and during sports. Very high Pittsburgh atmosphere going on I will be back so many times and absolutely worth going Downtown for

The staff as a whole were warm and welcoming, and made the night feel special from start to finish. It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and we will absolutely be back

The grilled peach salad was definitely the standout and the one dish we truly loved. The short rib and pork belly meatloaf, however, was dry and lacked flavor, and the flat iron steak was also dry and didn't have the flavor or tenderness we were expecting. With a few improvements to the main dishes, this could be a really great dining spot.

They have amazing waffle fries here and the weekday specials are awesome. It's half off wine bottles on Wednesdays. We got a bottle of bubbly wine for $13?? It's unheard of. We didn't love the fan that spun over the light at one of the tables but the server let us move so that was nice. Decent spot for dinner in market square.

Unfortunately that's were the good ends. First and always foremost, how was the food? An absolutely mess. Impossible to enjoy bc the sandwich falls apart immediately, simply can not pick up without losing everything inside, and greasy as all get out. I should have expected this to an extent, but a nearly $20 grilled cheese at a place that "specializes" in them, I would hope could do better than this. Service was very, very slow despite many open seats. The part that probably sent it over the top was the plate runner constantly spilling the tomato soups everytime they brought out someone's meal. Mine dripped all of the ground as he sat it down, my wife's got on her tray so the bread was just mushy on the bottom, and we saw it constantly as he walked by delivering others. Cool idea, cool location, but the rest was just bad.

The Strawberry Pretzel Salad cocktail was amazing- the crushed pretzels really made it. I also got the California 75 which was a cute twist on a classic French 75. I especially want to highlight Triple S Cafe. My greek salad was AMAZING and incredibly filling! I had to take the rest home for lunch the following day. All in all, an awesome experience.

I went there with a small group of families/kids after an outing at the Children's Museum; it was great to be able to walk over to an easy lunch that was better than the museum cafe. We'd probably come back just for this convenience. But I can also see how Federal Galley could have a sports bar feel when a Bucco or Steeler game is going on nearby. That said, the food was just ok. Portions were huge, but the dishes were kind of basic with a ton of sauciness/goopiness. My burrito from Mijo had a ton of chicken but not much in terms of beans and rice and no veggies or garnishes. My wife got a huevos rancheros bowl that just had mountains of sauce; it filled her up, made her very thirsty, and made a huge mess. The kids cheese burger and fries from Triple S was just fine for my daughter but, again, basic.
