Our experience there was awful, the woman at the counter (gray curly hair, glasses, shorts) was extremely rude to us for absolutely no reason. If you're looking for a calm place to bowl at, go to Shore Lanes in Neptune because this is not the place to go. I actually expected a nicer experience, given that Bradley Beach is considered to be a nicer town, but I was letdown by both the customer service as well as the general atmosphere. Great time bowling! FUN We were a group of 21 (kids & adults). We rented 4 lanes and played for 2 hours. I'm glad we arrived as the place opened because all the lanes filled up fast. So I came here on a Saturday night with friends who live in Asbury. It's a local spot so I wasn't expecting bowlero or lucky strike This place is easy to miss unless you're looking for it. The sign for the restaurant that connects with it distracts you. There is an unmarked entrance but I believe you can enter from inside the restaurant as well. We waited maybe 20 mins to bowl on a Saturday night for 4 people . Busy but not insane. The shoes look new and well kept as well as the balls. The lanes are well kept as well. Had video screens above the pins that played music videos. It must have been 80's night cuz it was mainly 80's music . The monitor to put names and that records your scores looks updated . Everything was updated except for the chairs and carpet I think. Nonetheless- we had a good time . We paid about $55 for four people - including shoes for one hour. We got almost two games in. Decent enough bowling alley but the big problem with it is it's blandness. Its the plainest looking bowling alley I've ever seen. No colors, no strobe lights, modern decoractions or funny animations when you get a strike. The music is low so the noise ambience here is blah too. The best part about the alley is its directly connected to the Ground Round bar and resturant which is good since you can bring your food in and out of there. There also is a big lack of house balls here, more than I've seen at other alleys which is unfortunate for any out of towner like myself coming through. Lastly the staff are a bit cold. Not mean, but the initial interaction with the desk lady was a bit awkward. when checking out she was friendlier though. (This was on Tuesday) Here now with some buds for a quick three games. Casually asked while we were paying for the three games is the cost of 9 games technically between the three of us. This old disgruntled lady said "what do you think I'm stupid I don't want to be disrespected like that. So give me your shoes sizes and that's that." Had my son's birthday here. Reasonably priced, good pizza and Mr Tony was awesome. He engaged the kids and they had s great time. In addition I only paid for who showed up which was great. I don't normally go here to bowl, but we decided to switch it up. Coming here reminded why we stick to Sea Girt. 1. This place is super expensive. 2. The guy at the front desk is downright rude and disrespectful. I almost left to go to one of the 3. bowling alleys that are 10 minutes away after getting yelled at by the dude at the front desk. 4. They don't have food, they order it and get it delivered. It's also super expensive. 5. Getting a single beer took over 10 minutes. 6. For god's sake Yelpers, this is a neighborhood bowling alley. If you want dance music and a laser light show, go to Lucky Strike. I've gone to this alley since I was a kid, and sure, decor hasn't been updated, but what difference does it make? The lanes are in great condition and there are digital overhead scoreboards. What more do you really need? Leather couches and table service? If so, this isn't your place. The adjoining restaurant puts out decent alley fare (mozz sticks, wings, etc.) and they offer beer pitchers, mixed drinks, etc. At least once a year, we (my family) celebrate someone's birthday here and we always have a good time. Laser Light bowling happens on the weekend (maybe after 8p?) and is accompanied by cheesy pop music ranging from the 70s to today. In my past experiences, I've never had a problem with staff albeit being occasionally slow with food and drink orders. This alley is what it is. If you want a more "modern" locale, Shore Lanes is your place...just be prepared to wait for a lane and endure the screaming of out-of-control children. read more

The coolest bowling alley I've been to! So modern and futuristic. I was expecting the same old bowling alley decor I've been used to since I was little, but this place is totally updated for 2017! Love the monitors that let you take SELFIES! Horrible! Spent 75 for three adults and a child from 1:30 to 3:30. The bar and food place was closed the entire time! All we wanted was a water. The guy would only give us 5 singles and the machine costed 3 dollars for a bottle so we all had to split it. Half the lanes didn't work.people were asking for refunds and were told no. The bowling alley doesn't even have a in-house restaurant they order from outside and doesn't have much to offer to compensate for their rudeness. Our favorite place to bowl! We go here frequently. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I purchased a bowling ball for my boyfriend here and the guy who runs the store is great! He made suggestions, gave thorough advice and didn't pressure him into buying the most expensive one. The bartender is super nice and chill. We love it here. This bowling alley is outdated and over priced. It took us about 30 min to play 5 frames because of all the issues we were having. Management finally agreed to move us to a different lane. Unfortunately that cut into our hour of bowling. We chose to pay by the hour instead of per game. $100 for 2 lanes and we only played one game! It's nice that this place is attached to a Ground Round. They have $16 beer towers and $5 apps on Sunday's. We got the chicken nachos, mozz sticks, and jalapeños poppers which were all decent. We had a good time. It only gets 3 stars though because the guys at the front desk were not super friendly. Absolutely not a smile on one guys face as we told him our ball got stuck or when the kid from across the lane accidentally threw his ball into our lane so the score needed to be canceled. The bowling alley is pretty good. Lanes are good condition and they have new overhead flat screens for scoring, but the carry is not NEARLY as good as over at Shore Lanes. And I 100% agree with Marcus that the interior décor is decidedly horrible!!! They should've left the décor alone as at least the previous décor had color. However, the exterior decor is sharp. The Ground Round is the best part about the place, (as bowling is probably not a real money-maker there)and the service was just fine. When this was the Ground Round they had great food, free pop corn and free refills. Now this place plan sucks. Paper cups, cardboard baskets and plastic utensils. Not to mention the face they kept the prices of the items and give you half the amount. I can not see this place staying open much longer. The only reason I gave it a star was for the wait staff and Jim the Trivia host made the evening enjoyable. Shame on the new management for letting this place take such a horrible turn. read more

New ownership has started major renovations of Bradley Beach Bowl. A new large game room is being built. The other renovations going on is new state of the art scoring is to be installed along with new seating and carpet. The masking units will be replaced along with six large video screens. Bradley Beach bowling alley is the worst! Do not go here! You can go to Sea Girt lanes if you want a good experience! I had taken my kid with some friends bowling yesterday for her birthday, I had purchased 3 games for them. They had played 2 and then for the 3rd game they wanted bumpers because they kept on getting gutter balls. They went up and asked for bumpers but they lady said no you guys are to old! That's discrimination! One of her friends got there mom and she pointed out all the other people that have a little kid with them but they are still using the bumpers not just the kids. In the end, we just asked for a refund and she gave me my money back for the last game. The next day I went and spoke to the general manager and I told him what happened and he just kept saying well it is what it is! What kind of person in charge would say that! He just kept defending his employee even though she was wrong in so many other ways (I won't get into that right now). He just kept defending her. I told the boss that this was wrong and that he will be sorry because my kid and her friends live here and they will just tell their friends to stay out of there and when it comes time for winter not a lot of people will come in here and his response was well it is what it is. (PS the last time I went there my daughters uggs got stolen and the people working didn't even care so I tried going there once more and this is just another reason why I shouldn't go there) Sea Girt Lanes is so much better. read more
