Came in with my car which was having an issue with accelerating. They diagnosed the issue and said they could fix it. Paid for their service and I drove it home. Next day the same issue occurred and I went back in- The manager Nick Young shrugged his shoulders and said that my vehicle has a " long laundry list of problems". They refused to fix the problem and refused a refund. At the end of the day I just wish he could've just been honest and I would've appreciated it as its not the fact they couldn't fix my car it's the fact they knowingly took my money knowing it wasn't going to fix my "long laundry list of problems." I'm pretty reluctant to write a review that isn't a "good" review, but every once in awhile the experience is so frustratingly poor, I think it's worth sharing. I set an appt for a wheel alignment check @ 2p about 3 days in advance. I arrived on the day & time of the appt to find the shop was swamped with people. I was told it would be about 4 hours before they could look at the car. Disappointing and inconvenient, but somewhat understandable - they need to service the people that are there. I told them that I would get some other things done, then bring my car back at their preferred time in 4 hours. This is where I feel their response was TERRIBLE customer service. I was told that if I left, there would be other walk-ins that would show up, and that they had other appointments AFTER mine that they would have to service and I would be at the back of the line when I came back. I was amazed at the response. I asked what the purpose of an appointment was and received a blank stare. I have not gone back to this location and won't go again. read more

Brought my car in 2 months ago for brakes, which I knew needed replaced. They quoted me $2700 because I also needed struts and rotors also. Trusted them, got it all fixed and then was told by a friend, they upsell you whenever possible. Made the mistake of going back for an oil change, and sure enough, they "found" another issue and my wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Another $500- the part is almost $200, labor is $300. Feeling very ripped off. Picked it up and a new noise started. I brought it back to them to fix their work. Was told it was the other side making the noise. It wasn't fixed bc it's still making the noise. Had a 3rd party mechanic look at it. It's the wheel bearing they replaced and were given an opportunity to fix with the direction of when the noise began, which was immediately after I picked it up from "being fixed". That appointment took 3 hours out of my day. So now I have to go back yet again and have them work on something they've already had 2 opportunities to actually fix and didn't do correctly. If third time isn't a charm and I get charged or something worse happens and my wheel comes off, they can pay the bills. read more

I went to have some metal crunching sounds in front end suspension of my Honda CRV 2008 checked out by Jeremiah Hernandez and he was short with me and rude. We took a ride around the block in my car and he listened and said he thinks he knows. Got back to the shop and he started rocking my car back and forth from the top of roof and said things about control arms and bushings. Along with sway bar stuff. He gave me an estimate of $1300 for sway bar, control arms all and bushings with an alignment. He was lying about what needed to be done. I took my car to another place my wife goes and he said only the sway bar, links and all bushings needed replaced and did the front brake pads and rotor turning too for $600. I would not take your cars to this business. Even a lady came in with a high tone in her voice while I was there and said her brakes are squeaking and it was the 3rd time she had to go in since it was supposedly fixed. Up selling and can't imagine how many people have been ripped off!!! read more

The dealership was amazingly slightly less expensive and they didn't try to upsell me. Look elsewhere folks, overpriced, my warranty only covers parts and the labor price is excessive. Took my truck here for an alignment. They said the entire front end was totaled including axles, rack and pinion, differential and all. Took it to Elizabeth auto repair and it was a cv axle and brakes. Truck runs great. These guys have no idea what they are talking about. read more

After a severe drop in temperature due to a winter storm our tire pressure light came on. We stopped at 4 air stations that were all out of order before we came here. Pulled in, the gentlemen working was very nice and accommodated is. Filled out tired with air graciously. Tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept. All I know is I had my brakes done there because they were squeaking every now and then. The tech had called me and said they weren't really that bad but he put new pads on anyway, I thought great not a costly repair! But it was still $120 no big deal, my brakes are squeaking worse than ever I thought this will go away after a while four months later my brakes are still squeaking and sound like they're about to fall off. I will never go there again, unless I go in there and they fix my brakes for free I feel like they old me that. read more

Sooo i bartend next door at Takoda Tavern. When Brakes plus first opened they came by, dropped off some coupons. They said that they'd service our cars and then drive to over when they were done. I brought my car in for an oil change and they hooked me up with a neighbor deal, and dropped it off when they were done. Since this I've brought in my moms car and my boyfriend bought by his car to get an oil change. I also dropped my moms car off to have the breaks changed. Go get your car worked on and come enjoy some food/beverages next door while you wait. Win win. read more

Had a great experience today with Ryan and Justin at this Brakes Plus location. I stopped in without an appointment and they were able to get me in right away, knowing I only had one hour to spare. They showed me exactly where my alignment was off, and did a great job getting me out the door on time. Plus, there was some little punk kid in there yelling and cussing on his phone, degrading the Brakes Plus employees, and despite that, Justin and Ryan were incredibly professional. If you want to walk in and see 4 Of there mechanics on there cell phones this is the place for you.. I walk in the front doors at 9am see 4 employees on there cell phones no customers or cars being worked on and Work bays are empty. I tell the guy I need a brake inspection. I've taken my 4Runner here twice this spring and both times have had great service aggregator prices. The first time was for an alignment after purchasing new tires at Costco. They have me a $10 off coupon without me asking. The next time I got all new brake pads and power steering flush. Again, gave me multiple coupons without having to ask. Stay away from here. Total scam artists Long story short, had used in the past with some trepidation. Brought in a vehicle for a brake check [only 48K). Week of 7/7/19. Hearing some noise once in a while and with the mileage thought it prudent. Was told need pads, reasonable, but also told needed new front rotors. Was told rotor too far gone to turn, would bring past min. Remember only 48K. I have driven multiple vehicles over 100K and never replaced a rotor? Took to another reputable shop (via reviews). Diagnosis: pads good for another 7 to 10K, rotors fine and no where near min. Key here is i witnessed all the measurement diagnosis. My assessment, and a lost customer forever and telling my story to all that will listen. read more

I have a BMW. I know I need my pads replaced. I have had it looked at. The young guy who drove me back to my place was nice and provided good service. The indicator is on. I get a quote from these guys for $860. They say I need the rotors replaced too and the calipers, one is bad but they want to replace both because, well, the other is just going to go. I asked them if they would just replace the pads and he said they wouldn't as it was a safety issue. All this time the guy is very hostile and rude. He didn't like answering questions. Maybe he is guilty from trying to rip people off. I ended up doing them myself. It is really quite easy to do, I usually just don't take the time. Calipers were working great and the rotors look brand new. The car only has 60k miles on it and I take care of my brakes. Also, I found out they were going to replace my good calipers with reconditioned ones and charge me $150 each for them, plus labor.... wow. That is just fraud. *** Avoid this shop, it is the old cliche of a service shop taken advantage of people or maybe they just victimize BMW drivers. *** read more

These guys are so good! I needed my rack and pinion replaced and they let me supply my own. Turns out that the rack that I supplied was faulty . They reinstalled a functioning rack and pinion at a very fair price. They always save the day when I need car repairs and this time they went above and beyond. It feels like these guys are out to do the right thing and it shows time and time again. My 18 year old daughter stopped in because she was hearing metal on metal from the rear of her car. The technician (I wish I had his name) put the car on the hoist, found the problem and tightened the brake assembly. Would not charge her for the work. How often does this happen? It resonated with me so much that I took my wife's car in for an oil change. Found out how much more competitively priced they are than the competition. I don't know why it took my daughter in distress to bring my business to this location. Writing a review for awesome service is the least I can do. read more

Last weekend the radiator in her Taurus overheated and she had to put all new fluid in it. Since then it has been overheating and making a hissing noise. So on her day off (April 30,2009), I followed her to a BRAKES PLUS shop on Lincoln in Parker to have her brakes and the radiator looked at. I waited outside and told my daughter to tell the guys that we think a radiator hose needs replacing (my guess, I really didn't know). 45 minutes later they came back with an estimate of $1000 to replace the radiator which they said was leaking, the thermostat, and all the hoses!!!! (plus $350 for brakes that they said really didn't need to be done yet!). I told my daughter to tell them that for a repair that expensive we would have to get a second opinion, and then I called my mechanic, Evan, at Automotive Performance Clinic on Cottonwood Dr. We went to his shop and had him take a look at her car. He called back a couple of hours later saying, "Your car is ready." The only thing he could find wrong was a hose that was loose and the fluid was low!!!!!!! He fixed those 2 things, and for his time it cost us $80.00! Once I took my van to Evan for a suspension problem. He said he would be happy to fix it for me but that the repair should be covered by my warranty and to take it back to the dealer. I took it to the dealer where the repair cost me nothing! Still another time the power steering went out in Chris' Isuzu. Chris took the car to the dealer where it had been bought. The dealer told us the repair would cost over $500. We couldn't afford it at the time, and Chris drove the car without power steering for months. Finally, we had the money to fix it, but this time took the car to Evan. He looked at the power steering and found that all that needed replacing was a broken belt!!!! I have several more examples, but you get the picture. I want all my friends in the Parker area to know what an honest, fair businessman Evan Campbell is. If you are tired of feeling ripped off by mechanics who take advantage of your lack of knowledge about cars, I hope you will give Evan a call next time you need work on your car. It would be worth driving a bit out of your way. This is not a paid (or requested) endorsement, but he did save us from making a very expensive repair that was not needed. I brought in my 95 Subaru in after my engine started knocking and rattling and had loss of horsepower. I come in to get get my car after they had told me they couldn't read whatever "Subaru code" that their equipment couldn't read, and recommended I send it to a Subaru mechanic. They charged me for an oil change (which I requested) but get this...they still charged me $80 for their "diagnostic fee"!! The mechanic (forgot his name, but the dude had crooked and coffee/tobacco stained teeth) tried to justify the charge saying "Oh yeah we ran a ton of tests, spark plugs, fluids and all that". I came to these guys because obviously something is wrong with the car, and I don't know how to fix it. Correct me if I'm wrong, if you can't tell me what's wrong with the engine and how to correct it either, you haven't diagnosed a damn thing. My parents have both their cars serviced with Brakes Plus, so I trusted these guys immediately, however I wasn't treated the way a first time customer would expect to be treated. Regardless to say, I still paid the "diagnostic fee" as a severance package because they just lost business from all 3 of us. read more

I recently had to take my 2005 Toyota Rav 4 (50000 miles) to the Brakes Plus to have the brakes replaced on the front of my vehicle. The price they qquoted to me as I dropped of my vehicle was $149.99. I dropped the vehicle off and returned home. Approximately five minutes later they told me that the bill was going to be $250.00 plus tax. They told me that the vehicle needed new brake hardware, brake fluid, flush, and of course new pads. The funny thing was that the brake fluid had been changed a little over a month earlier when the rear pads were changed by the dealer. They then told me that the brakes needed a hardware kit that cost around $26.00 dollars and they wanted another $20.00 to install the kit. I told them that the Toytota Dealer had just recently replaced the rear brakes and made no mention of a hardward kit and that the fluid had been recently replaced. I thought taking my vehicle to Brakes Plus in Parker would be an easy place to get the brakes done, but what I found was the stereotypical scam repair place.
