Normally I do my own repair work, but this time when my truck shuddered under braking, I decided to take it to the Brakes Plus at Hess and Parker. I asked them to change the front pads and turn the rotors. The service manager came back after inspecting my truck and informed me that my rear rotors were close to being below spec on thickness and my front ones were definately below and couldn't be turned. I okayed work on the front. I drove away, and within 5 miles felt the familiar brake shudder again. I took the truck back to the store a few weeks later and even though the service manager said that the back rotors were probably warped and needed to be replaced they offered to change the front rotors and pads to make me happy. I drove away after the work was done, happy with myself until I applied the brakes on the highway. It still shuddered! They must've put the same rotors back on! I went to several other mechanics who verified it must be the front rotors as the back ones never warp. Some months passed and I finally broke down and purchased 4 new rotors and pads which I would install myself. I did the front first, took it for a test drive and guess what? Still shuddered! Damn! How could I be wrong? I replaced the rear rotors, went on a test drive and lo and behold...no shuddering! I might be able to do the work but I can't diagnose the problem. I can't say enough about staff's expertise, support, and services! They've serviced my vehicle for 7 years...everything from alignments, struts, brakes to replacing the windshield wiper motor. When I sense something needs attention on my vehicle or when I'm going on a trip, they are my "go to" shop for inspection, advice, and repairs. If I'm not able to have all of the work done at one time, they'll prioritize services so the most serious are addressed first. After my last set of tires from Discount Tires, Brakes Plus staff test drove my car and advised me to go back to DT to have my rims checked. While it was uncomfortable for me, I took it back and sure enough, one of the rims was bent. I've tried other Brakes Plus locations occasionally, but it's definitely worth my time to drive a few extra miles to this shop! read more

Having lived in Parker for 15 plus years, I never ventured away from my regular mechanic until I was told I needed brake service at a higher rate than I wanted to pay. Took my Ford explorer here for the first time. I had such an awesome experience that this will be where I bring my car fore every service. I arrived 30 minutes early to my scheduled time and asked if I could just leave it so I could go to lunch with my husband. I was informed that they may not be able to get to it early, but they would have it done by the time I selected when scheduling the appointment. About 20 minutes later I received a phone call telling me my car was done! Not only were they very fast they made sure to look online and they gave me the best coupon they had at the time. Can't say enough great things about this place. Ryan the GM and the entire team always go above and beyond in their level of service, always answer my questions, and honest in what they are capable of and when I need to go somewhere else. On numerous occasions, they have accommodated me in last minute situations, including driving me to work and dropping off my car when it was done, completing services at no charge in hopes of figuring out the problem, and assisting me in accommodating tow and rental services. Once again, awesome service! These guys are the best! I brought my daughters car in and Ryan, the GM told me if I was to fix the immediate problem it would cost me approximately $1600. He went on to say that fixing that issue may not fully resolve a possible bigger issue. He was honest enough with me to suggest I go to a body shop where they are more equipped to diagnose any bigger issues. Now that is customer service! Ryan is a standup guy with true integrity. I had a squeaky brake and needed a oil change. Went in, got the brakes checked and oil changed with little time to wait. Got a quote for brake replacement and came back a couple days later, dropped off my car and went to work. Got a call not long after saying everything went great and my car was able to be picked up whenever I was ready. Quick service from time I walked in and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to explain to me the things I did not know makes me give this place a 5-star rating. read more

I haven't had the greatest experience with Brake Plus in the past but these guys (especially Juan) really redeemed their reputation as the best one stop shop. Everyone was awesome, from the interactions between customers and mechanics I heard in the lobby to Juan meeting me in the parking lot and getting my Bug in right away to fix a mostly cosmetic problem with my car. This is the second time we've been in and the service is awesome. Ryan was great. My sons car was making a funny noise and instead of telling us it needs all this work done. They were honest and said it's just struts and shocks. I feel like they're honest which it's hard to feel that way with a mechanic shop unless of course you know about cars. I visited this new location in Parker for an oil change. The service was quick and very professional. Ended up bringing 2 others vehicles back for minor service. They offered me a ride home, quick to point out coupons available, and did not try and sell me on services not needed. My husband and I take our cars here every time we possibly can. Over the last few years they have replaced the wheel bearings, shocks and struts, tie rod, and rack and pinion in our aging Honda Pilot. Everything is running great! Super easy online signup for an appointment, with an almost immediate call to confirm the appointment with me. They were very honest in the car's assessment for a brake job (telling me to hold off on some unnecessary repairs at this time), and then fixing just what was needed and fixing it well. These guys were great. Juan worked with my mother in law in my stead and made her feel very comfortable. He also was able to be flexible enough to wait until I was available at work to cover all the work that needed to be done.
