I went to Brandon's Diner in Magnolia and there were 6 waitresses and not one greeted me and my friend. Then finally a waitress said you can sit where ever you like. We sat there for 5 mins and no waitress came to help us. They all were just talking. I waved my hand and they ignored us. Three police officers walked in and were immediately helped. I talked to the manager and she said I did not see you. I work in customer service and I will never be back to this restaurant. It's sad to still be treated like this in this day and age. We stopped by For lunch while we were in the area and had the best service and food. We usually go to the Moreno Valley location but this was convenient today. The servers were very attentive and friendly. We ordered the Chili Verde omelette and meatloaf sandwich. This omelette is the best item on the menu and I could order it over and over again. The meatloaf Sandwich was topped with gravy. The bread was the perfect texture and the meatloaf was excellent. We will be returning to this location again. read more

I am not angry per se, however i am very disappointed with the service i received in this diner. I came in this past Friday morning, my food was taking close to an hour to come out which was irritating because the restaurant was FAR from its full capacity. I can't remember her name, but my waitress looked super stress and kept apologizing to me because of how delayed the food was. I didn't have anger towards the waitress though because she seemed sorry and i know they don't necessarily have control over when the food is done or not. However I ordered a bacon and sausage egg plate, it should not have taken nearly an hour to get my food out. The waitress was great and that the only complaint I have is how long the food was taking. Staff (and special thanks to Sol) always very friendly and helpful. Prices and food are very good, and my husband and I frequent there once or twice a week. Generally a variety of music playing (Fun to guess what type it will be), but always good. Hot Tea is generally my drink of choice, and they bring a nice selection, with the honey, creamers, etc. etc. Nice variety of food offered in their menu. We ate at Brandon's on Magnolia for the 2nd time. The first time, they had just opened. Food was good, but they lost our orders and it took almost an hour to get our food. Today, 5-20-21, we went for dinner. The Maria's Omelet, was not that good, made differently from the Indiana restaurant, my son's dinner, the cottage cheese was sour, his corn beef and hash, was undercooked and on my husband's and my dinners, the biscuits and gravy, was terrible and looked like it had been sitting on the biscuits for several hours. This new location is a disappointment. I will never go back here and I'm a local. Went in, sat fairly quickly. The hostess brought our drinks. 15 minutes went by and still no waitress. I had to ask the hostess who our waitress was, she said she would get her. A few more minutes go by still no waitress. We left. As we are leaving the hostess tells the waitress your table is leaving, the waitress says out loud that's FINE. Don't waste your time here. I placed an order for pick up and was given the incorrect order. I called and they confirmed they would remake and correct the mistake. when I showed up after a 30 minute commute I was told that they needed my old order or couldn't replace the correct order. Tried this location with the family a few different times. One time the service was good and waitress was friendly. The other times, waitress was short with us, did not refill empty drinks. Had to ask for refills, one check was totalled higher than it should have been( all done by hand), dirty table; had to ask for it to be cleaned. One of our orders was totally wrong and I pointed it out and she said that's tuna and it was clearly a turkey sandwich I opened it up and she says yeah that's tuna and we all look at it said what kind of tuna is this and why would you put bacon on tuna? She done said oh sorry and had it remade so that person had to wait for their dinner and received it later than everybody else's. No discount or free dessert or anything was offered for the inconvenience. The Waitresses could be a little happier and energetic. Worst service I have ever had in my whole life at a restaurant myself my daughter and son-in-law and my grandkids first we stood outside for 45 minutes to an hour and watch them seat one of the servers family members and their whole family they did not wait at all. The tables and seats for wet then we all placed our orders the orders trickled in one by one sometimes with 15 minutes in between bringing the next order of someone's we had to ask several times for silverware finally got our own upfront some of the family were getting their orders when others were done we had to ask several times for syrup butter toast side of pancakes side up French toast we're just not coming most that had toast or English muffins with their breakfast did not come till the very end when we were done. The service family sat behind us as we listen to themGetting angry because they knew how upset we were one of them even called out to my daughter and called her a bitch. We proceeded to go outside and leave after my daughter told her it was none of her business we have been to other Brandon diners in Riverside And was always pleased the toast they brought at the end was soggy and you could tell it had been sitting for a very long time so there was no excuse for them not bringing it with our meal the new location that we were in has a long way to go In training. Bad service, took almost an hour for a cob salad. Family member of mine got a country skillet with extra sausage and got none.

All servers here are young and need some training with customer service. We had a bad experience from the time we walked in the door. First off they were not busy at all (maybe two tables were taken out of the whole restaurant) and they took forever to sit us down. Once we finally got seated the waitress came and took our drink orders but she just had no energy to work. Finally got to order our food and let's start by saying Not Good!! The waitress took everyone's order and my husband wanted to know what to soup of the day was and she didn't know, he asked her to please check to see if he wanted to order some and she never came back. We saw her take the order of the couple sitting about two tables down and when she was done he flagged her down and asked if she had asked about the soup of the day and she said oh no i'll ask right now, again never came back. Finally, my mother in law got up from her seat to go ask after about 20 mins and they finally told her it was Albondiga Soup. Since the Albondiga Soup had never disappointed us in the past at the other Brandon's my husband ordered the soup. It was AWFUL... it had way too much tomato sauce which made it look really red and thick. By now we have been waiting for our food for at least 25-30 mins and another 2 waitresses come to our table together and tell us that they do not have Meat Loaf which is what my husband and my father in law had ordered. The original waitress that was helping us from the beginning never came back to our table to apologize or anything!! Once again they're all young and seem to not be able to handle the pressure when they make a mistake or anything in that matter. But it literally took them that long to tell us they didn't have meat loaf. We asked to speak to a manager and they did not have one at this time. It was about 7:30pm on a Sunday. We will never come back to this Brandon's. (To top it off my husband got sick from the food he ordered which was Chile Verde or maybe from the Albondiga Soup). The Brandon's on Indiana has never disappointed like this... We'll stick to going to that one instead. read more

I had lunch there with 4 friends the other day. It was not crowded yet it took almost 30 minutes before the waitress (Alysha) even came to our table to take our orders. She was not pleasant and seemed mad and was uninterested in waiting on us. One person in our party arrived late and I had to go get her a menu and flag a different waitress down to take her order because our waitress was still talking behind the counter and didn't seem interested. After ordering, it took 45 minutes to receive our food. One order included French fries that were cold and another order had a English muffin that was burnt. A couple days later, I noticed on my bank statement that I was overcharged $4. I went back to Brandon's and talked to the assistant manager who said she would pass the information onto the manager and have the manager call me. I waited 5 days with no call back so I called to get a hold of the manager. She first tried to tell me I needed to fix it through my bank. I pointed out that Brandon's already had the $4 from my account. Even though I gave her a copy of my receipt showing the correct total, the manager then said she couldn't pull up the receipt on her computer because too many days had passed since the transaction had occurred. When I pointed out that the time lapse was because she didn't call me back for 5 days, all of a sudden she could give me my $4 back. This was much more laborious than it needed to be. All of my friends and their families will not go back there again because it was not a pleasant experience. Just a reminder to all: Don't throw your receipts away and check them against your card transactions. read more
