Don't come here if you're on a diet because this is a calorie counter's nightmare. The portions are enormous. My friend and I share a breakfast and still have food left on the plate. The food isn't great and it isn't bad. It's middling but to it's credit it is fresh. The place seems rather popular with the locals queuing up on the weekends, be prepared to wait if you're going at peak brunch hours. (However the coffee isn't very good.) The portions are large and the price is commensurate with portion size. The menu has a variety of 'traditional' North American gut busting breakfasts as well as Mexican-style breakfasts. On 10/29/20 we placed a large lunch order for our family consisting of 3 salads, 2 cheese steaks on a French roll. When our food arrived it looked so good and tasted define, until my granddaughter who is 17 years old noticed a lot of her lettuce underneath was brown. My daughter salad was hard to tell since it was specialty lettuce, my son in laws salad was old too underneath. This really ruined our meal. I kept looking at my sandwich to see it they used rotten green peppers too. I do know that they forgot half my cheese, I only had American cheese and the swiss cheese was forgotten and half of my sandwich and my husbands that was missing the cheese had very little steak. I think all Brandon's are good. This one is is no exception. The one thing I noticed different from the one in Rancho is the ice. I love the crushed ice and this location had the little flat square ice. Small thing but I'm weird that way. They have outdoor eating area and I look forward to sitting there next time. Gravy had no flavor and the biscuits were like hockey pucks,plus my diced ham and eggs were ridiculous. The ham was diced so small as if I were a child that it got lost in the eggs. When it came, the toast and potatoes were stone cold, and the omelette had no American cheese - it had some plastic cheddar that had been microwaved to death. When I pointed this out, they acted like I'd done something wrong and they were doing me a favor fixing it. Food is pretty good, had fish n chips, chicken fingers and many breakfast egg dishes here, all are always good. Service is great even when its packed. Prices are good for the food. Kids love getting an individual cookie dessert to go after their meal! unfortunately the places is pretty busy every weekend, so count on a waiting period. Only ever had one problem here, got a pastrami to go while at breakfast so that I would have dinner on hand. By the time dinner came around i opened up my pastrami to heat up to discover there was so little meat, it looked like my dog had gotten ahold of it first, as i continued to unwrap it, i discovered mold on the bread. I immediately called them, and by this point had no interest in another pastrami from them, they were completely understanding and offered me a refund. One of many, many places playing off the old Route 66 location, it's a reliable spot for breakfast. Never been for any other meals. The biscuits and gravy is something you should pass up. It tastes burnt, the biscuits are no good, just not much flavor. However, the Cinnamon French Toast Revolution is exactly what it says it is. It literally looks like a big cinnamon roll cut in half and French toasted, all just for you. I like to start at the edges and follow the swirl of spice inwards until I'm dizzy and full. They've got outdoor seating that's pretty nice, and prices are reasonable. Watch out for the Sunday crowd. With one exception (spaghetti), everything I've had at Brandon's has been very good, and I've been there several times. The spaghetti was ok, but nothing special. They have a very broad menu with traditional American favorites. I had Mexican food today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is generally busy but always very clean. The decor is nothing special, but it's ok. It reminds me of a Midwest diner. Do not waste your time or money! This was the worst service we experienced and the worst customer service from the manager. We sat down ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The waiter then came back asking if we wanted a refill, we didn't even get our drinks yet! We ordered our food I asked for two sausage links for the kids plate, we received ONE sausage Patty. My mother asked for extra well done sour dough. They brought out the bread three different times because we kept sending it back because it was never even toasted. The sourdough bread tasted like white bread. We complained so they brought us the loaf of bread to prove it was sourdough. I'm sorry but once again it tasted like white bread and it wasn't toasted as we asked. We had a muffin as a side. The top of the muffin was completely undercooked you could still see the batter sitting on the top. We sent it back. Instead of the waiter asking to bring out a fresh one or asking if we wanted another side he just took the muffin. My husbands plate was lacking eggs in the skillet. We finally asked to talked to the manager about our check because we were asked to pay full price when nothing was how we asked. My husband went to the car as the manager loudly argued with my mother and I in front of everyone. We will never come here again. IF you want to do to Brandon's diner please go to the one in rancho!! I love this place and prefer is over the popular Mollys in the area. The food is always amazing and they serve huge portions. There is a lot of variety in what they serve and the waitresses are very attentive. I am sadly disappointed in this place. I have been coming here a few times a year. The young heavy set female with dark hair (didn't get her name) wasn't friendly as most waitresses usually are, but I understand everyone has a bad day so I ignored it. I noticed my wife barely touched her Green Chile Verde Omelette. I asked her how it tasted and she said it was disgusting. I told her I was disappointed with the fact that nobody came by to refill my coffee. My egg, sausage, country fried potatoes, with biscuits and gravy were good, but I have had better. Eduardo was friendly and greeted me with a smile when I went to pay. I waited for him to ask me how everything was, but he didn't ask me so I just figured this would be the last time I come here. It doesn't seem like the employees are too happy there any longer. I should have read the Yelp reviews before I came here. Based on the reviews I can see the consistent decline with this business. All of the complaints are the same. Must have been a change in management or ownership. If things don't change quickly this business will have to close down. Don't eat here. Just keep driving. My husband and I have been coming here for breakfast for years. It's been ok - nothing special, but today was the worst. We always order our eggs over medium - white done with runny yolk - and hash browns crispy. This doesn't seem like an unusual request seeing as they're asking you how you want your food cooked to begin with. However, when my plate was placed in front of me, I could see that the potatoes didn't spend more than a couple of seconds on the grill and were still raw - nowhere near being ready to serve - and when I cut into my eggs, the white was still clear. Not white like it should be - clear like it had just come out of the egg raw. So I told Karen, our waitress, who took it back to the kitchen. When she brought my plate back I could tell that they just put the same food from my plate back on the grill, which I'm certain is a health violation. They barely browned the potatoes to a light brown - still not crispy. And instead of cooking the raw egg white, they decided to break the yolk and cook them hard. When Karen came back to ask if it was better, I told her all they did was break the yolk, so no it's not better. She then gave me attitude as if it were my problem that she and the cook couldn't do their job correctly. As if I'm just supposed to accept the crap they're severing me. If you don't want the answer, don't ask the question, Karen. If your customer's food is incorrect coming out of the kitchen, it's your responsibility as the waitress to make sure that it's cooked correctly, and tell them to cook it again if it's not. Unless, of course, you didn't bother to take the order correctly in the first place. We didn't bother asking for a manager. Everyone working there looked as if they were angry to begin with. Really poor attitudes all around... except for the guy who greeted us coming in. read more

I'm not sure what has happened to this place. I use to love it. I know they raised the prices by a couple bucks per item. I don't have a problem with this if the food is good, but that's not the case. Over the last year or so the food has made a downhill spiral and so has the service. I just finished breakfast. It was burnt. Hash browns were burnt, the eggs were overcooked and the toast had no butter. Not even a little butter. In fact I had to get up and go to the kitchen and ask for some because our waitress was chit chatting with the other employees and having a great ol time instead of checking on her tables. Then I went to wash my hands in the bathroom and for being open only about an hour, it was disgusting! Dirt and grime all over the sink and mirror. Paper and water all over the floor. I wish my camera was working to take pictures. It makes me sad because Brandon's is pretty close to home and I've been coming here for years. Won't be coming back:( read more

My friend Karla S. and I both were recommended to dine here by some coworkers who were locals, so we decided to give it a whirl. It was quite a little treat! First of all, I have a special little place in my heart for restaurants that serve breakfast all day. I'm one of those people who loves to have breakfast for dinner. So I was beaming as I browsed the menu. The waitress' were nice and helpful. And had a nifty little sense of humor. When I asked our hostess where the restrooms were so I could wash up she replied "Oh. We don't have any restrooms here," with a dead pan face that would put David Duchovny to shame. WHY did I believe her and go into a panic? My only defense is that my hands felt really gross and I really wanted to wash them before I ate. I don't care how illogical her answer sounded. After our chuckle, I made a beeline to the restroom as she told Karla she almost got knocked out for that one. Yes. Perhaps. But I would have waited until she was off. I decided on the Belgium waffle special. I mean they actually had a special! Most places only serve the waffle alone and even if the waffle is huge, am I crazy to want some hash browns or eggs to nibble on in between? Oh I am? Ok well then you can suck it. Karla decided on the mushroom swiss burger and onion rings (a burger for lunch? ::yawns::) and then an order of their famous biscuits and gravy. And why does everyone's biscuits and gravy HAVE to be FAMOUS!? We were plenty satisfied. My waffle was nice and crispy, Her burger was delightful, and the biscuits were tasty. I hate when the gravy is bland and you have to put a bunch of salt on it. This gravy had sufficient sodium. The place looks like a diner and feels like a diner. No surprises there. But I like that. It's a nice place to sit and eat. Unlike a Denny's (I don't care what they say!), where it seems that at any time of the day there is at least one table full of drunks or cholos. The service is always good. Rachel, Chris and Becca are amazing. Though for some reason management seems to love to tell people 'what they can't have'. Amazing in this day and age that a business tells it's customers NO so frequently. I had dinner Saturday night and just had to write a review. I had a ordinary meal but the service was the best I have had in years. Our waitress was Rennee and she was amazingly attentive without being a bother.
