This place is great! It was our first time going there. The place was very clean, up to date and inviting. They have a big menu so whatever you're looking for they probably have it, breakfast, American, Mexican. They have Jamaica too which is my favorite drink right now so that was awesome. I got the open faced pot roast sandwich, which was delicious. The portions are huge, including the drinks. I didn't think that I would eat it all but it was so tender and easy to eat that I ended up finishing it right there. On top of the great food our server was Sandra, who unsurprisingly, turned out to be the manager. She was amazing. On the ball and as sweet as could be. Easily one of the best servers I've ever had. This place is definitely one that we will be going back to. If you haven't tried it you should. Not to mention that it is family owned and they are doing a great job. read more

Classic diner food that everyone in my family really enjoys. It does get busy on the weekends and especially on Sundays but as long as you know that, its okay. I usually get the cinnamon french toast combo which is a lot of food so sometimes my husband ends up eating a portion of it! He loves it too. My husband and I loved coming here, but this last visit was unforgivable. My husband ordered their biscuits and gravy, corned beef and hash and a turkey melt. What we got was a blow of slop. I can't even believe they were serving what they called biscuits and gravy. It looked like someone poured oil over the biscuits, the corned beef was burnt, and the turkey in my melt was like rubber. I wouldn't even feed that crap to my dog. After we expressed our dismay no when offered us anything accept a replacement of the side. Not even a free coffee. Never again will we go back. Pretty sad. This was our first time here. We had the Sunday ham steak special. Best ham steak I have ever had. The service here was great. The menu has a great selection, and prices are reasonable. --- Wanted to Like It, but Size Isn't Everything --- First, the pluses. I loved that this was in a little strip mall, and fairly unassuming from the outside. Once you get in though, it's awesome -- a very open feeling to the place. Brightly lit because that openness lets light filter throughout the place. Service is awesome too. Friendly with recommendations from the staff and good conversation. (But balanced so that it's not the server that ends up sitting at your table and becoming a third wheel.) And it's FAST. We were in a rush, and were in and out faster than I could have believed. But I have to give it two stars because at the end, I wouldn't return because of the food. I ordered the one-flapjack special -- an enormous, pan-sized pancake, with two eggs and two meats (bacon or sausage). The pancake is supposed to be their specialty and really, it ended up just tasting like a McDonald's pancake. Not horrific but definitely not worthy of being the specialty of a restaurant. The bacon had been cooked a while ago, and was no longer crispy. It was tough to make it through one piece and for the first time in my life, I walked away from uneaten bacon. The eggs were just ho-hum. My dining partner had eaten there the night before and while it was hopping and a fun atmosphere, he said the burrito he had was nothing to write home about. read more

I was in Upland so after a yelp search I decided to try Brandons. I ordered the chicken melt sandwich with fries. Overall sandwich was good but chicken tasted like in was in a fridge awhile, fries were okay nothing special. My wife ordered a Mexican plate combo which I tried for a taste, not authentic but decent taste for the yellow cheese Mexican food version. They offer an extensive menu with breakfast, mexican, sandwiches, and dinner plates. Ate towards closing around 9pm and the service was good. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I don't know if I'll rush back but I would consider coming back to try other items on the menu. read more

This diner is OKAY. The worker was very rude . I ordered regular triangle French toast she comes back with CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST. I told her I did not order that... she tried to argue with me and say I did obviously I did not I know what i ordered . She acted like she didn't want to take it back . So she finally comes back & the food is great. When it's time to pay for the checks she takes my card and doesn't even tell me the price just takes my card and walks up to the front so me and my grandmother had to chase her to the front so she wouldn't try to get our card information or charge us more . When I lived in Pomona, this was one of my favorite places to go eat. I miss living closer to it, and still tell my friends about it. The biscuits and gravy are soooo yummy, and everything else I've tried has been super good. The staff is also very friendly. Wait was 10 mins so it wasn't a big deal.. we sat down & ordered our food , when the food came out ( i Ordered French toast ) she brought out Cinnamon French toast .. i ordered triangle square French toast... she tried to argue me down saying that I pointed to the cinnamon French toast. She seemed like she didn't want to take the order back That was vibe I felt with her . Then after we ate I asked for separate checks . She took our credit cards without telling us the total. I went there Sunday morning and it was really packed. The wait was about twenty minutes give or take. They serve menudo on the weekend so I shared a small bowl with my bo. They definately supplied you with all the condiments that should be included in a bowl of menudo like lemon, cilatro, onions, etc. The taste of the meundo was okay, it definately wasn't grandma's menudo Also they really had great strawberry lemonade which was made with real chuncks of strawberry.
