Some one went here and brought me 2 ribs and a chicken thigh, cold. First I noticed that they are "naked" -- without slobbering BBA sauces. This is a good sign that the grill master was confident on the meats on themselves, sauced or not. The ribs were tender, smoky, and flavorful. Quite impressive considering that I ate them cold. I reheat the chicken, in microwave for 30 seconds, the next day. It was not dry, skin not soggy, and meat warm just enough to fall off the bones with good smoke and juice. I was, again, impressed. We came from out of town this is some of the best barbecue I have had. The chicken thighs and legs are some of the best chicken I've had and a barbecue place and the ribs are very tasty as well. I did not order sides with my meal other than salad so I cannot speak to those but everyone at my table plates were cleared. And the corn muffins were very soft and tasty. Dine-in is still opened with about 7 tables. Service is great and friendly. The barbecues are something to die for. Not overly strong smoked flavor. I really like the tie-tips because of the even distribution of the fat and moisture. The brisket was not bad but would like to be a little bit more tender and moist. They offer two sauces. Tangy bbq and spicy. I like to mix them both. The side was above the average. It has Mac and cheese, salad, onion ring, coleslaw and bean. Once we received our orders it looked delicious but unfortunately the meat was as hard as a rock, over cooked and tough to eat. (Highly would not recommend ordering this) The baked beans were delicious, fries were fresh, the corn bread was dry, and the coleslaw is the sweet one which I liked. We ordered the family special for 6, which comes with a variety of dishes including St. Louis rib, chicken, pulled pork, cornbread and beans; as well as beef brisket and barbecue chips. I appreciated that each dish had its own flavor, which complemented each other well when eaten together. Note that the baked beans are on the sweeter side, which from what I understand is more consistent with the Southern style of cooking - I personally enjoyed these mixed with the meats, as the flavor was a bit too sweet on its own. Salad - standard iceberg lettuce, cheese, croutons and ranch dressing. Nothing special to comment here. BBQ Brisket - following the impressive rib meat, this comes as a shock. The brisket lacked any flavors, any smokiness, and really tough and chewy. I quit after struggling with one of the most inedible brisket pieces ever.
