Girls lunch! Great day to sit out and enjoy a meal. We sat outside under the awning . I had food from his pop-up but never ate in. We all started with a cocktail. It was lunchtime so options were beer and wine most of us opted for wine with one person trying the Jamaican beer Red Stripe. Food is ordered and paid for at the counter and they bring it out to your table. I had the jerk chicken, it comes with rice & beans, plantains and cabbage. Everyone else had the Rasta pasta with shrimp. One person ordered the cocoa bread and we all tried it. Everything was very good, there were no complaints. It's all on street parking so be prepared for a little walk.

Loooooooooove the comfy bright interior! Stopped by for lunch a few days ago for the first time with my hubby and we love it. The food was delicious (order at the counter) and hot! My drink was warm even tho it came from the fridge but I'll let it slide because the jerk chicken salad + soup and beef patty made me happy. Also stole a bite of hubby's sandwich and it was sooo good! Friendly staff - we seated ourselves and they brought the food to the table, and since we came when they open we avoided the long lunch line :) Can't wait to come back and tey the rest of the menu!

I've been waiting to eat here for at least a year and I'm so glad that I finally made it! The restaurant doesn't have a huge area inside for waiting but it's very cool inside. It's a very laid back feel and I would recommend dressing up a bit... I never know what to wear at some places but I was glad I wasn't in jeans, other people may not care. Onto the reason we're here. We started with our drinks, I had the bratts breeze and added some rum and my fiancée had the coladascope. They were both very good, but I'd recommend the coladascope for sure! We ordered the rocksteady goat cheese salad and that was great. I really liked the guava vinaigrette and truffle balsamic. For our entrees, I got the oxtail ragu and he got the salmon. The salmon was alright, but I loved the ragu! Honestly, there was more meet in there than I expected which I appreciated. Chef Chris was walking from table to table and we had a nice conversation with him. He told me his favorite dish was the goat ravioli which just might be my order next time I go! We ordered the black cake sundae for dessert and that had a good flavor. It was almost like a gingerbread cake. I definitely recommend coming here. It was just a great experience all around.

First and foremost, I'd like to say the service was amazing! The restaurant was very clean and the food was very flavorful! The server and hostess were very helpful and hands on with all of our inquiries and request! My wife ordered all the food and all I know is the chicken was soft and tender and not chewy at all. The cabbage had a perfect sweetness! I never had a plantain before and it tasted amazing! It reminded me of A banana with air as if it had texture but it wasn't chewy as if it sticks. The oxtail was amazing as well! Having recipes down to perfection is how I prefer my restaurant quality! It tastes different than a free handed home cooked meal with love! I can tell the recipes were made with love as well. Also the restaraunt is beautiful inside and is definitely a hidden gem!

I was a little nervous at first walking in because we had reservations for 8:30 for 2 people. When we walked in at 8:30 there was a large party that had reservations at 8 waiting to be seated still. I could tell the staff was super overwhelmed and no one acknowledged us at first to the point I almost grabbed someone that was walking by to ask for a hostess. The large party was seated after about 10 minutes and things calmed down and then we were seated right away. It was smooth sailing after that. Our waiter was great and attentive. We started with the fries and crispy rice squares. Both were excellent. The crispy rice squares had the perfect crisp and the shrimp on top was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked and had a sauce that complimented them well. My husband even asked for extra sauce for his dinner. For our main course we got the Rasta pasta and the salmon. The Rasta pasta wasn't on the dinner menu but they let me order it anyway which was very kind. The Rasta pasta was creamy and the jerk chicken seasoned well. The salmon was excellent as well. The ambience was cozy and well decorated. They also give you a warm scented towel after you eat and I love a nice touch like that. I will absolutely come here again and hope to try the oxtail ragu. I almost gave 4 stars due to the beginning of the experience but had to give 5 because the food was so good.

I ordered the 1 Half Brown Stew Chicken on a to go order. The chicken was tender and the dish was very flavorful. Very impressed. It was my first time eating there and will try dining in next time.

I'll keep it short and simple: Second time around - not so great. The noodles in my oxtail ragu were so overcooked and mushy that it was hard to enjoy. The sea bass and lobster special (priced at a whopping $65) was a tiny portion that was almost laughable. Those 2 things alone made me take off a star each. I understand chef Darian made it big since we last visited now that he's on some cooking competition show. But I'm not sure that Bratt's Hill is worth returning to.

I'm moving out of Upstate New York this summer and the one thing on my bucket list after Chef Darian won Next Level Chef was to try his restaurant. I'm so glad I did! The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and it opens up to a little open air stage area so we got to hear live music in the background. The little newspaper article in the window about Chef Darian's (and other local Buffalo chefs) immigration/ culinary journey was so inspiring, I love to see immigrants not only find success in America but celebrating and sharing their culture with us. That is was makes this country great. Dinner was absolutely phenomenal, I felt so lucky that the week my friend and I visited that they were featuring winning dishes from Next Level Chef. The service was excellent, the staff were so welcoming and attentive. I don't know the next time I will be able to visit Buffalo, but I will definitely be returning. When we left my friend was already texting his mom and grandma planning another day trip to Buffalo to take them here. Cannot speak highly enough!

Went here after my co-worker told me about it. It had been awhile since we had any Jamaican food so we were super excited. I understand they have a fancier menu for dinner but we just went for the casual lunch menu. You order at the counter and pay for it and then they serve you at your table. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned. Price is a little higher than we were used to but portion sizes were pretty big as well. We both had enough leftovers for a second meal so can't complain. Looking forward to going back and trying out their dinner menu!

I recently attended a private corporate dinner at Bratts Hill, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional--beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and memorable from start to finish. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made everyone feel welcome throughout the evening. One of the highlights was that Chef Darian Bryan took the time to come out and meet many of the guests. It was clear how much he cares about both the food and the overall dining experience. If you're looking for an outstanding meal and warm hospitality, I highly recommend Bratts Hill. Congratulations to Chef Darian Bryan on creating such a fantastic restaurant. I can't wait to return!

You don't understand...I flew from California and this was the best meal I ever had in Buffalo. The oxtail ragu is by far the best oxtail I've ever had. This pasta is 80% oxtail and 20% pasta. They are so generous!! Their entrees could feed two people by itself. The quality is unmatched. The kitchen is clean and open. I can't even order oxtail anywhere else because this place just set the bar so high. Also the service was amazing. Perfect date night or girls night out spot.

Chef Darian knows what he's doing! This spot has been on my list for a long time since they opened and I finally got over here for lunch. It's a perfect fit in the Larkinville area and offers a good change up from the usual lunch menus around town. The lunch vibes here are emmaculate on a nice summer day. The interior gives it an upscale vibe with friendly service for your whole meal. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Caesar salad and it might be my new favorite salad. (Which sounds a little funny to write) Yes, it may be just a salad but you can definitely do salad right and wrong. Chef Darian does it right! The chicken is spiced perfectly, the lettuce tastes fresh and crispy, the croutons are easy to put a fork in and don't crumble, and it has plenty of cheese. You can't go wrong with this lunch. It also has tomatoes on it but I just may have ignored those. I have to come back for their dinner service and try some of the other dishes but I might have found a new go-to spot for lunch.

Food was delicious for sure. I haven't had such perfect fine dining service in the area in over 10-15 years. Bravo tutti!

I honestly can't remember the last time I was able to order breakfast at a restaurant. While visiting Buffalo with my boyfriend in November 2025, his college friend spent the morning taking us to several restaurants trying to find a place where I could safely eat. After striking out everywhere else, Betty's was our last stop--and what a blessing it was! Alice, our host, was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure my food allergies were handled safely. I was able to order a bacon, "egg" and avocado sandwich made to accommodate my allergies, and it was incredible. I hadn't enjoyed a breakfast sandwich from a restaurant in over a decade! It was so delicious that I went back again before leaving Buffalo and even ordered another sandwich to take home. For anyone living with food allergies, you know how rare it is to find a restaurant that truly understands safe food preparation while still serving amazing food. I'm from New York City, and I still haven't found a place that compares. 1,000 stars! I can't recommend Betty's highly enough.

The vibe is so right, in fact this restaurant has a personality of its own, which matches its amazing eclectic selection of delicious foods. On beautiful sunny Spring, Summer or Autumn days you can enjoy the neighborhood on the patio or you can always choose to dine in one of their several comfortable dining rooms all of which feature art (Some of which you can purchase ) that will get you leaving your seat for a closer look. We were rewarded with two truly special brunch items ... a layered "French toast" that I stared at as a diner near me ate hers and an orange infused pair of delicious waffles. They were perfect and filling (This ended up as our only meal on this beautiful Sunday.). The quality of service matched the food ... we lingered soaking in the atmosphere just enjoying life at Betty's. When asked by neighbors where we went for brunch we said "Betty's" and they smiled knowingly. Once you're familiar with Betty's you've found a friend.
