I don't have a lot of money, so when I say places are expensive or overpriced, it's because A- they are B- for people like me who live on SSI, places like this aren't very Affordable. After a late breakfast & missing lunch, an early dinner was in order. We arrived at 430, which was *perfect* because we had our food by the time the dinner rush arrived. The restaurant itself is large with several tables but not necessarily a good setup for groups. A TV was on one wall with Spectrum News playing. There are choices of Coke fountain drinks, a few bottled options, chips & pre-packaged desserts like crisped rice squares. The goal was to find somewhere to get a big salad with lots of "stuff". Lemme tell ya... mission accomplished. Choose from pre-designed salads or make your own by selecting your choice of greens, add-ins, protein, dressing and toppings. There are also make your own pizzas as well as pre-designed pizzas & wraps. My dining partner chose a make-your-own salad while I ordered Jon's Southwest salad. The staff was patient while we chose our options and figured out everything we wanted. It was tough not to want to order a pizza too, but I saved that for my next visit. What I thought was unique was seeing all the toppings added to the serving bowl, then dumped onto a flexible cutting board-lined "box" for chopping before mixing in dressing or adding to the side. After driving by Pio-O-Mike Greens for the last few months I figured now would be a good time to check it out. My girlfriend wanted to build a salad and even though it was almost physically painful to not order a pizza here......I also built my own salad. So similar to places like Pi Craft and Blaze, you basically walk up to the counter and build whatever kind of pizza or salad you want (if you haven't been to those places it's the same as Moe's or Chipotle). I started off with some ice berg lettuce and mixed greens, added some carrots, corn, American cheese, broken tortilla chips, onion, chicken (small upcharge on meats), and topped it off with some peppercorn ranch dressing. How was this delicious sounding salad you ask? Well, it was delicious! The dressing was fantastic and everything tasted great together! Overall, you definitely need to check this place out. I haven't been this excited about a salad in a long time! Found this location while I was looking around Yelp and so happy that I did. Located in strip mall - easy parking. They serve made to order pizzas, salad, soups. I can't speak to the pizza but it's set up "Chipotle or Blaze" style where you pick out your sauce, toppings and they bake it right there for you. I have been several times now and have gotten the Large Salad - where you pick an unlimited amount of fresh veggies/fruits and there are some add-ons such as deli meats and avocado. They have several low calorie dressing options which is helpful to someone calorie counting and the crunchy toppers such as candied walnuts and seeds are no extra charge. Once you pick all your greens and toppings they chop it all up in front of you and then toss in your dressing then if you choose. They are not stingy with the toppings or the greens - they heap the portions and I have made about 3 meals out of each salad. Get 2 salad dressing sides, on the side so that it stays better in fridge. I personally loved the fat free spicy ranch flavor. If I lived closer I would be here at least weekly for these excellent fresh salads. I took my Mother with me last time and she also loved her salad too. POMG is very similar to pie craft with the diy pies so it was not hard to ask for a large pie with: red sauce, vegan cheese (trying vegan mozzarella for the first time) - $4 extra, and all the veggies except red onions and anything spicy. We also ordered a large salad: kale, spinach, and light sprinkles of all the following - cukes, tomatoes, banana peppers, peppers, strawberries and apples. Everything was chopped up before toppings - all the seeds and nuts and a sprinkle of croutons. For dressing we had the balsamic vinaigrette on the side. My group devoured everything, and nobody complained - food was fresh and delicious! The pizza has our favorite brick oven texture similar to Elm Street Bakery or D'Avolio's. I really like how fresh the salad was, and it was so tasty even the usual picky eaters - whom I won't name names - ate every bite! It's nice and cozy inside with funny puns on the wall (kids laughed their hearts out once they figured it out). The salad contained bacon, strawberries, candied walnuts, and a strawberry dressing. Once all of the ingredients were placed in the bowl, they were chopped up finely. Unfortunately, I ate my salad about an hour after it was made so it was a bit soggy. However, it still tasted great. The pizza had a spicy cajun sauce, a basic cheese, and some plain shrimp on top. I found the sauce to overpower the other flavours so I would personally not order it again. Although the salad was a solid 4.5/5 and the pizza was a 3/5, I cannot give Pie-O-Mine Greens a higher rating simply because of the service. Perhaps it was the day, but the workers seemed very disorganized with the orders. Despite us being the only customers in line, we still waited a while to be taken care of. Also, one of our orders was forgotten. We ordered takeout and discovered that we were missing one salad. All of the staff were friendly. The cashier was especially bubbly. The efficiency of the place is easily noticeable in their timing. From the moment we walked in to the second we sat down to eat, the total amount of time was 7 minutes...for a pizza! Now, my fiance turned out to have bad heartburn and only ate two slices. The pizza came out piping hot so I waited a little bit. That's when I finally dug in and ate to my heart's content. I really liked the food. The cheese especially tasted fresh and melted perfectly. First of all this was the BEST wrap I've eVer had. This was my first time here after it being highly recommended from hubby. On first impression the inside was very clean and spacious. The traditional "build your own" ordering style would make one think that what you're about to dive into is just average. But maaannnnn let me tell you, once they karate chop the ingredients all together with this dual blade mechanism, the amazing flavors are combined to perfection. To top it off they have like 25 options of sauces to go on top. So I built a romaine, Parmesan, feta, green pepper, banana pepper, chicken and bacon masterpiece topped off with Parmesan peppercorn and caesar dressing. I've been meaning to try their Orchard Park location, so I was delighted when this location opened up near where I work. My coworkers I and I went the week they opened and have been going back since. The restaurant has a good selection of pre-set salads and pizzas, but I am personally a fan of the create your own options. You can't go wrong with a nice brick oven pizza with goat cheese, arugula, olives, and artichokes. As with any pizza they key is to not go too crazy with your toppings or it's not going to cook evenly. If you want a crazy amount of toppings, get a salad and go nuts. The small pizza is more than enough for one person and the large is definitely large enough to share with 3 or 4 friends. They have a wide selection of greens, cheeses, meats, and salad toppings (yay unlimited veggies!) and a nice variety of dressings. I'm a fan of their Greek, but they have some tasty, unique flavors like Concord Grape dressing or their Red Pepper Vinaigrette. For lunch I'm a fan of their soup and salad combo. Their Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Tortilla soups are delicious. I've tried a couple other flavors and none of their soups have been bad, but those two are the best in my opinion. Service has always been good in my experience. The guys working there are friendly and quick. They know how to keep the line moving smoothly even during the lunch rush. My friend had been recommending this place so I popped in because there was a big sign for 10 inch pizza for $5 outside. There was no $5 pizza on the menu and no mention of it anywhere inside to direct someone to order a specific one, so I got the create you own. A gentleman took my order and pulled the pizza crust out, sauced it, put half the cheese on, then another person walked in, so he took there order. I figured he was being efficient and would do the orders in tandem, but he didn't he just abandoned my order and completed hers (just an average looking middle age person...not a supermodel). After a while someone came over and finished my order. They put the meat on and when I went to say what veggies, he said "you don't want any of this do you?" And before I got a chance to say, he walked away and slid my pizza in the oven. The $5 pizza ended up costing $13 with a fountain drink. $13 isn't bad for lunch, but if you advertise $5 you should tell people what the $5 pizza is. As for the pizza....the outside 1/3 was delicious. The other 2/3 was inedible soggy. I'm not sure why it was so soupy since I didn't get the chance to order any veggies. I had a good laugh with my friend who recommended the place to me and she assured me she has had better experiences. So, perhaps I caught them on a bad day or they have a few employees that need to find a different line of work. It's a cute place. It could use some division somehow to give it more warmth and less of a cafeteria feel, but nice and clean. I went to go see the joker movie after and was less than 10 minutes away. Great start to a dinner and a movie date. Upon entering you will be greeted by staff and you can choose from a specialty pizza or customize your own. I got the veggie pizza with pepperoni. I got the personal size. It's the perfect size for a adult size appetite. The toppings are laid out chipotle style and you can customize as you move down the line. Pro tip: the cups are ultra thin. One basically ripped in half when I was putting on the lid, soda everywhere. Soda on jeans, man down! The pizzas was good. Not amazing but definitely not bad. Someone (me) once said "even bad pizza is good pizza" and the pie here is a lot better than bad. I didn't try the salad, but I did notice it's chopped and probably amazing considering all the available toppings. We went classic and got fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, green peppers and red onion. I appreciate how fresh the toppings were. The pepperoni was better than the local pizzerias in my opinion. The fresh mozzarella added a great touch. The price for a large and two fountain drinks wasn't bad either (a bit over $20). I definitely will be coming back here. It's a nice place to walk to in the summer and I'm looking forward to trying a custom salad next time. read more
