Not the Zaxbys experience I've ever received, in fact. To start, no greeting whatsoever when you enter. That was ALWAYS a Zaxbys thing, to say hello at least. I ended up standing there at the counter for almost a minute with the cooks staring at me before anyone came to the register to take my order. I could tell drive thru has priority now because that is where all the employees were standing. My food was good, just the tenders seemed small! I ordered extra sauce and it was in the bag thankfully. But there's only one trash station in the whole dining area, none outside either. So if you're in need of throwing away your trash, it's on the drive thru door side. Lastly, the cashier taking orders wasn't giving customers their drinks. He was waiting until they received their food, but I politely asked if I could go ahead and get my drink cups since my kiddos had been looking forward to a sweet drink. I noticed quite a few upset customers who were standing around trying to get their drink cups while the cashier was at the drive thru window. Disappointing because I used to love zaxbys, but this location doesn't have the same staff as previous visits. Customer service kept me coming back and paying $10 for a Big Zak Snak, but I'm not so sure about it anymore. Raising Cane's will probably be my go-to since it is closer and has better customer service, even though I'd prefer Zaxbys sauces.

We had two burgers, one with double meat, two fries and two can sodas for $14. I'd put The Grill on par with Kincaid's hamburgers, good for what you're paying for and a nice quick lunch option but not a hidden gem that salivate thinking about the meal or can't wait to return. If you're thinking of a fast food burger I'd skip the big name drive throughs and give The Grill a chance.

They use really good pickles for their fried pickles. The fries were just ok; and I thought the shake would have been bigger but it was still good. (I had ordered a small shake; they brought out a medium because of a delay but it looked like what I would call a small at places like Sonic or Braums.) We wanted to sample a little extra and got the catfish platter with sweet potato fries too. WHEN I SAY SOOOO GOOOOOOD Ms. Charlotte helped serving to our table which was a really sweet touch. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Philly cheesesteak? Phenomenal. Seasoned, tender, and had banana peppers cooked in which I LOVE. Sweet potato fries? Homemade, hot, fresh, crispy, and salted to perfection. Catfish? Fried perfectly. Not soft but not "hard" crunchy either. Paired with the homemade tartar is the bee's knees. Wings? Crispy, only downside, lots of mango, no, habanero. We stayed and chatted with Ms. Charlotte a while after and got some history on her husband, Dave, and the restaurant. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to be back!
