I would like to thank the management of Bravo for hosting another PRP wine paring event. PRP provides wines from around the world and BRAVO prepared delightful delicious flavorful dishes. The two worked together to present the perfect dish with the most flavorful wine both complimenting each other like a symphony of flavors exploding in your mouth while fireworks while fireworks are exploding in your mind. I've been here many times; it's a favorite meeting place with my family for occasions such as birthdays. Yes it's a chain, but they have pretty delicious food and generally great service. Their dipping oil is some of the best I've had (granted, I haven't had a huge variety but I really enjoy it!). My favorite thing about Bravo is the Happy Hour menu - Mon-Fri 3-7pm they have a selection of appetizers/food that is $3.95 if you sit in the bar area. They also have a list of specialty drinks (such as moijitos and martinis) that are $5 during this time. On my last visit to Bravo, I tried the Eggplant Parmesan. This is something I normally wouldn't order at a restaurant because I know how good it tastes when it's homemade. However, Bravo did a superb job on this dish! It didn't have the "out of the freezer/fridge" taste I feared, and I would definitely order it again. I believe they offer a separate menu for Gluten-Free diners.... If it is not a separate menu, then they denote on their menu which items are GF. Do join their rewards program card. You earn points that you can redeem for $$ off, as well as preload specials, and you get a free entrée during the month of your birthday! My only complaint about the Brookfield Square Bravo was the same issue I had at the Bayshore Bravo (which is now closed): the bartenders need to respect patron's conversation. Just because one is sitting at the bar does not mean the bartender is automatically included in a conversation. Let me stat by saying our server was fantastic! The bartender not so much. He came over to table after i sent back a drink & assumed i was not from WI & then told me how a certain drink was made, when he made it incorrect. Why???-mashed up cherry has never been in an ol fashion-on a stick yes w/an orange & a little cherry juice muddled in. Although it's certainly not the best Italian in town, Bravo does offer a decent meal. I stopped in for a quick lunch today (probably my 3rd visit) and had a house salad with their spicy pasta (can't remember the exact name). It was a good meal and quick, which was what I was looking for during a break from work meetings. Service was prompt and prices are reasonable. Brookfield, Wisconsin is a suburb of Milwaukee overwhelmed by consumerism and corporate America. The folks here never worry about conformity or "cookie cutter." It is their preferred manner of being. Thus, the town is chain restaurant heaven, and any local, independent dining opportunities are almost impossible to find. Bravo Cucina (I refuse to use the capitals and exclamation point) is an okay formulamatic version of an Italian restaurant. It is fine for lunch and maybe for cocktails. Having dinner here would be a desperate choice. Located in a large mall, the restaurant provides all the expected Italian favorites, cooked with mediocrity and assembly line devotion. Everything tastes like food, and you will have no memory of taste. Your belly may feel full, but your taste buds will be empty. I do like this place more then Louise's down the street, which needs a face lift. We always eat at the bar and enjoy the interior decoration more than most chain establishments. With excellent finishes and lots of light, Bravo Cucina looks like a classy urban Italian restaurant. Bravo to the Columbus, Ohio designers. The food simply isn't very good. It uses all the chain tricks -- mask flavor with butter and oil (you never want to reheat leftovers at home when you see the pools of fat). The food is OK ... but: - Expensive for just OK. Entrees from $12-$25. - The last time we were here, the waitress was just not good. The breadsticks arrived AFTER the salad - The men's bathroom ... something wrong in here and management knows it. I was in town for a work trip and ate here Tuesday night. I picked Bravo because I had previously eaten at a Florida location and felt it was a safe option. I had a glass of wine, bread, and the shrimp scampi. The service was fine, the waiter gave us our check right after clearing our plates without asking if we would like some dessert or coffee. As I got back to my hotel, I felt tired and went to sleep only to be awoken a couple of hours later by the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had. I'll spare everyone the details but it's three days later and I only now have begun eating solid foods again. The worst part of this entire experience - is I had to miss my meeting, which was the entire reason I was in town, due to this experience. Walked out. Our server Dale was so rude and obnoxious when my grandma was trying to explain to him a coupon she got for her birthday (we were out celebrating her birthday). He was being loud with her and getting near her face, my brother had to speak up and tell him to back off. When I ordered and asked about happy hour I was told by the waitress that there wasn't one. When my friend ordered she was told the happy hour is only inside at the bar. WHAT?! Been here before, everything was fine for a date night. However...if you have a group event...Run, don't walk the other direction! Worst service and unimpressive food. With so many good choices in this area do not waste your time, your palate, or your money here. We scheduled our celebration weeks in advance. We were asked to use a customized menu offering only soup or salad, three entrées, or a choice of two desserts. Even with these very simple choices, we waited 2 1/2 hours just to get our soup and salad. Said salad was wilted, brown and generally tasteless. When the entrées finally came along, they were not much better than a frozen Marie Callender's meal. Perhaps they served the other patrons first, and we got scraps. Never ever coming back. This is not a casual 5 star review. I placed an online order and went to pickup at the restaurant. When I arrived I was told they just ran out of the Calamari appetizer and they apologized. This 5 star review is for Bravo substituting TWO OTHER [freaking delicious!] appetizers for free, and refunding my money for the Calamari without me asking for anything. Everything about this place is pretty meh. The food is ok but pricey. A plate of pesto pasta is about $13. Drinks are pretty average. I was there was a birthday party and no one was wowed. I had steak, which came with potatoes and asparagus. I think the asparagus was my favorite part. I know ordering steak at an Italian place seems silly, but It sounded good at the time. I used to love this restaurant, they used to have the best staff, the best food and the best atmosphere. I'm guessing the owners have changed, and not for the better. A small salad is a $6.00 add-on instead of being included with the meal. The drinks were overpriced and the food was subpar. Very dried out chicken as well as very dried out meatballs, and sad sad lasagna. A few years ago this was the place we would always go to for celebrations, now we go to Cooper's hawk instead. Kate the manager shared that they had made changes including the chef, so we returned with an open mind. We came in on a Friday evening to celebrate my daughter's engagement and this time we weren't disappointed. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waitress was Elizabeth who was professional and attentive but very sweet. All of our food was delicious and clearly an improvement from our last visit. Our drinks were prepared well and were excellent. The service couldn't have been better and exceeded all of our expectations. We did stop for a late dinner on Saturday evening about 9:30. Dinner was nothing special. Waiter had a very difficult time removing the cork from a bottle of wine we ordered but was polite and curious. Took our order and dropped off our salads. We asked for the usual bread and he said yea but it would be about 5 minutes for them to prepare but did make the comment that our dining experience should be the same at 9:30 as it would be at 6:30. Nice comment! However as the evening progressed and we reached 10:30 we were told that the restaurant closed at 10:30 and we had exceeded our time by 30 minutes. There was still a fair amount of staff there and no one seemed like they were waiting at the door to leave. I have worked in the restaurant business for 12 years of my early work life and if one of my staff would have said that to a customer I would have definitely told them that is never something you say to a paying guest. I did notice he said it after the bill was paid and had already receive his tip of 20%. I guarantee if he would have said that prior to paying the bill his tip would have been 0. I do not expect anything due to this situation but I would suggest in this difficult time for the restaurant industry this is not the message to send to your guests. If they do not want to be at work after closing I would suggest an earlier closing time than 10pm. We have been regular guests over the years and truly felt disrespected. I doubt we will ever return. Thanks for the years of great service! Very good Alfrado Lasagna and Eggplant Parmesan. the warm bread with dipping oil is good but you don't get much oil. The Fettuccine Alfrado was good but dry. Consistent , homogenized Italian -American food that suburbanites anywhere in the U.S. flock to. Locations tend to be in smaller towns close to , but not in , a large city. Menu has all the standard Italian- American offerings ( think Veal Parm, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Marsala, lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs ). Prices are lower than other chains, but quality was there . We had sautéed shrimp , grilled mahi, eggplant parm, and a fried calamari app, lots of fresh veggie sides, all good . Nothing over the top. So if you enjoy dining out at chain restaurants , Bravo will not disappoint . It offers the same consistency as a Flemings, PF Changs or Maggianos. Nothing imaginative, nothing extraordinary . Your dinner in suburban Milwaukee will taste exactly the same in Naples , FL. Close your eyes, and you won't know what Bravo Cucina you are in. read more

Why do I keep eating here? It used to be a good place for a quick lunch. I recently stopped to eat at Bravo for lunch again while shopping at Bayshore. Now every time I eat there I receive the slowest...service...ever. The food here is pretty decent. I would recommend their version of Chicken Parmesan. At this particular location, the quality of food seems to have remained pretty high, but the painfully slow service means it often shows up cold. They do serve fresh baked bread, but you'll be lucky to get some right away. The servers usually fill your drink orders and say they will be back with some fresh bread only to return 10 minutes later stating that they are out and fresh bread and more will be ready in 5 minutes. Ultimately, you end up getting your bread 5 minutes before your food comes out and sometimes not until your food actually arrives. Overall, the dining experience isn't completely awful here, but there are some service issues that need to be worked out. Just be aware of what to expect of this place. read more
