We were craving Italian food and risked getting takeout from Bravo. It had been a safe choice in the past - nothing spectacular but big portions of decent food. The lasagna did not resemble what they had served in the past. My eggplant parmesan was tough and dry with very little spaghetti marinara to accompany it. I was craving the salmon salad last night so we ordered take out. We ordered the salmon salad, chicken salad and caprese salad. I arrived when they said it would be ready. I waited an additional 15 min for the food to be ready only to get home and the salmon was almost raw, not rare but raw. It was cold and jiggly. I had to put it in a pan and cook it. It was also missing the grilled asparagus and dressing. The caprese salad we didn't even eat, the tomato's were not ripe and there was missing cheese. I called to let the manager know, I was on hold forever then was told he would call me back. I never received a call. I typically love Bravo and that salad, that's why I was craving it. I recently returned to Bravo to have dinner with my daughter. It has been a while.... I was pleasantly surprised,, Still has great service...And the warm bread and oil is still very tasty. I had the Shrimp Scampi..It was very good..Lots of large shrimp and the noodles and light sauce was perfect..The only negative was a bowl of Lobster Bisque...It tasted great..But was barley luke warm...I like hot soup..Not room temp..My daughter had the noodles with Pesto...And Salmon on top. I have eaten here several times...sometimes it's a 5 and sometimes it's a 3. I have to say that the addition to calories to their menu is a TOTAL DOWNER! I almost put down my menu and left. my workaround...I ordered something off the summer specials menu (calories not listed). Tonight I ordered the Grilled Shrimp & Couscous pilaf. Based on the description, I couldn't tell if it was a hot or cold dish. My waiter indicated it was a hot dish, so I added a chopped salad. Well, the chopped salad lacked flavor and was overdressed. The shrimp/couscous was actually a cold dish (shrimp hot, all else cold). I was disappointed by the misinformation I had received, but the did was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. 5+. Do not look at the calorie laden regular menu and order the shrimp/couscous special. I have been to this chain restaurant numerous times and I believe this is one of the best restaurant chains I've been to and one of the best italian places that I've been able to find. On my most recent trip, everything was excellent. I got the balsamic glazed chicken which was so moist, very flavorful and expertly prepared. Other personal favorites of mine are the lasagna and the eggplant parmigiana. There are several choices of dinner salads which are all excellent and very tasty. The pizza is also a good option. The dessert is phenomenal. I have tried several of the desserts and I've never been disappointed. Most recently I tried the seasonal Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding. It was to die for. I always find the service to be very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is contemporary but with homage to ancient rome in broken pillars and statues. Italian music plays in the background for a nice ambiance. If you're in the mood for Italian, do yourself a favor and skip all the other Italian chain restaurants out there. I'm convinced this is the best Italian food you can get in the Midwest outside of your Italian grandmother's kitchen. read more

Rolling around drinking and shopping sounds like a great weeknight to me! This place was jam packed for a Tuesday night when I went not too long ago. Service was very attentive and personable. Went with a co-worker and we had a very pleasant experience. We ordered the calamari--which was perfectly fried--not too hard and not too light to where it was absorbing all the oil into the batter. I had the grilled chicken with the sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese and she had the chicken marsala. Both were very flavorful and had decent portion sizes---again not too much and not too little---so I wasn't hungry a few hours later and I didn't have to be rolled out of the restaurant either--yay! Bonus! This location is surrounded by a bunch of other restaurants and in a cute outdoor shopping area. Would definitely return again. read more

I've been eating at this restaurant since 2005. It's a chain, but one of the nicer chains around. To me, it's way better than Olive Garden or Johnny Carinos. I always get the eggplant parmesan. It's lightly breaded, and not greasy at all. It's served with linguini in some sort of garlic-cream sauce. It's flavorful and not overpowering. This is pretty good Italian food. I did enjoy their fresh bread and oil with herbs to dip the bread into for starters. Starter salad was better than most other places as they give you a nice size portion and don't skimp on the fresh ingredients. The calamari was ok as it had too much breading but the accompanying sauces were really good! I ordered the chicken filled ravioli and my husband got the linguini in clam sauce. Both came to the table hot and portion size was good. Both dishes tasted fresh and not pre-made like other places. Clams were fresh and there were a lot on the plate! The waitress was very friendly and was very attentative to being sure we had everything we needed. We weren't rushed like other places do to turn tables fast. I give them props for having great and varied options. Even though I am 90% vegan, I strayed last evening and ordered the shrimp scampi pasta and a cup of lobster bisque. The bisque is just heavenly, please try it. The pasta was swimming in rich sauce that had a tang of white wine and lots of medium-sized shrimp, which were perfectly cooked. I was super happy, it was just what I craved. With yummy, crisp garlic toasts to sop up the sauce, I really was in bliss. The bread that comes with oil and herbs was very good--soft and yummy. I wish they would bring more sauce, but that seems to be my constant complaint everywhere I go. Service was almost perfect (a little late to get to us, I thought).
