I liked this place. I hardly eat pasta out in town. One, my wife makes amazing pasta at home. Two, I'm pretty picky about italian food places. But, this place surprised me. Customer service was outstanding. Krystle and I went here with our friends Kristen and Ted for a double date deal. We had their calamari to start with, which was tasty. I had their BBQ chicken pizza, which to me, rivaled Round Table Pizza, back in California. You can tell that it was made with the freshest ingredents. Krystle had their pasta with alfrado sauce, which I thought was really legit. What I did like about this place is that you could order whatever pasta you want with whatever meat/sauce/topping you wanted. So, if you pretty much had absolutely no idea what you wanted to eat before you got here, you definitely had a plenty of choices. Their garlic bread rolls were a hit, however I wasn't a fan. I am by no means an expert in Italian cuisine, however I do know when I taste a flavorful dish vs a bland one. In my opinion, Bravo's sauces lack flavor: the creamy pesto sauce was so bland I had to add salt (I never add salt! salt/pepper shakers are merely table props); the lasagna tasted like a frozen entree out of the box; the marinara sauce was worse than a store-bought bottled-sauce; and the lunch specials are reasonable, but not necessarily good. Whenever I crave for Italian food, specifically Eggplant Parmesan (l love eggplant), I come to Bravo's. I've eaten at other popular Italian eateries across town, but they just don't compare. So cheesy and addicting! I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes, but that tomato sauce they have there is just so rich and flavorful. The sauce pairs nicely with the spaghettini noodles. Aside from the most awesomest dish there, go for the delicious, free garlic bread. They literally give you a bottomless basket of those goodies if you want. I've never actually dined in the restaurant, but the company I used to work for used to always order us lunch from this place. They must have really wanted us all to have garlic breath and not speak to each other for the rest of the day, thanks to their delicious yet super garlicky garlic balls. Really, that's the only thing I ever really liked from the place. The pastas I've tried looked better than they tasted. The food was always cold, even though we didn't work very far from the place. I'm not sure why this place is so popular, are the garlic balls that good.. that people just come here for those and order entrees just because? Ya know, this place is ALWAYS crowded and it's very popular. There are a lot of great choices here. There are lots of seafood and meaty choices... I had the vegetarian lasagna, however, and it's not bad. It's just ok. They use half marinara sauce and half white sauce on it, and you get a huge slice of lasagna which is layered pasta with zucchini, mushrooms, and cheese. I had plenty of leftovers to take home. I have had their other pasta dishes before and the sauces are alright. Nothing spectacular. And I don't know if it's just me, but the pasta noodles always taste doughy/gummy and cheap tasting . That's probably my biggest complaint about the food; the quality of the pasta noodles.... It's not bad if you're looking for a lively fun place to eat at in pearl city. Very good for families.... It was my first time there, and it was beyond awesome! They greeted us with some garlic balls which was very delicious and they gave a second refill after my cousins and I ate the first batch. But what made me rate this restaurant 4 stars was because of customer service. One of the front dest worker was very snobby and gave my cousins and I an attitude. It made us feel very uncomfortable. I went to this restaurant for the first time and let me tell you how much my friend, who took me, RAVES about it. She absolutely LOVES Bravos and is a repeat offender of their pasta, not to mention their lil garlic rolls (which by the way are FREE!!). ANYWAYS, for my first time there, I was really taken back by the seating, which is very spacious and lighting is very bright. The noise level was at medium or like a 5 1/2 out of 10. I, immediately noticed they had a a section for "buffet"? (I think that's what I read) or like a 'party section'. It reminded me a lot of, The Old Spaghetti Factory, but more of a chill vibe. Our hostess sat us off to the right, up the little steps and right away were we given our menus, complimentary dinner rolls and asked what we wanted to drink. A water with lemon is what we both had. We snacked on the rolls and sipped our drinks as I was taking in the whole 'enchilada' of finally being in Bravos and about to taste their 'famous' pasta (we both were also on snapchat and facebook/catching up). When a different waitress came and asked if we were ready to order. It completely escaped my mind that I didn't even know what I was going to order and of course my friend knew what she was getting. I got Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and she made her own (pesto, fettuccine w shrimp added). PS adding chicken to a pasta/shrimp or even broccoli is additional $, that ranges from 2.99 to 4.99 and any one who really knows me, knows that I don't like to spend so much money; so I was aware of the prices ahead of time. The rolls were exceptionally good And they came in a lil bowl which the waitress refilled at least 8 x's through the night(because the rolls are FREEEEEE AND UNLIMITED!!!). Now, let me tell you what this one particular waitress did that got me ready to roll up my sleeves and in the words of the late Eazy E, "reach back and slap the hoe." FIRST, she had an attitude taking our orders, which my friend and I could easily tell. I paid no mind, til much later when she refilled my water and SPILT some all over my side of the table. My friend and I could tell that she definitely was probably having a rough day or whatever. Even her face looked unhappy, not that you NEED to smile but she just looked overly annoyed. That and I'm assuming that she may have overheard me saying to my friend(because we were discussing about how her attitude wasn't good), "a bad attitude means bad service and you know what bad service means, it means you ain't getting shit, for tip." They got our order wrong and she fixed it. And regardless, of the statement I made, I wasn't rude to her nor did I have any bad attitude towards her. And even though, she was prompt on refilling our rolls. Her stank attitude stayed with her til we left (which was closing). I didn't wanna tip her shit but when my friend told me she was gonna tip her 5$, I matched it. SHE DID NOT DESERVE A 10$ TIP FROM US, LET ME TELL YOU THAT. ANNNNND SHE WAS OUR CASHIER!!! My chicken alfredo fettuccine bs was alright. My friend enjoyed hers and we both took half our pastas home along w out own take out box of dinner rolls (hahahaha). The serving size was alright. Definitely, don't think I should have added the chicken (cause I counted it lol) i had about 10 to 11 pieces of sliced grilled chicken which costed me an extra 3.99. I definitely, felt like my dish could have had more alfredo sauce but really, I didn't want the waitress to take my plate back 'fore she spit in it or something lol The entire crew, last night, definitely seemed like they were all in a rush to get out that place and as they left they were announcing that they were leaving and shouting towards the back saying, "Bye! I hear a lot of people compare Bravo to Olive Garden. Pretty much right, it's cheap & not true Italian. You get what you pay for. Ate there last night and had the calamari & shrimp scampi. The calamari was a tad overcooked but I like the spicy dipping sauce they have. The scampi was garlicky and delicious. Don't come here looking for avant garde, it's American Italian and cheap. Great for nights like last night when I'm grumpy, tired and starving to death; they brought my glass of chardonnay super fast and those doughy garlic balls were enough to spike my blood sugar so I was bearable company for the rest of the meal. read more

My fiancé and I have been frequenting Bravo for about a year and a half now. It's always busy, but we've never waited for longer than 10 minutes to get a seat! You sit down and they get you started with a basket of the most garlic-y bread rolls you've ever had, which are complimentary and re-filled throughout your meal whenever you run out (usually resulting in some to-go boxes containing your main dish). They have delicious appetizers and all of the pasta dishes are made of pure melty, cheesy, meaty goodness. I recommend this place for lunch or dinner! read more

I ate here this past weekend based on the Yelp review. I was pretty disappointed, as I was expected more, plus the fact that I was going to go to Ricardos, but ran into Bravo's review. I would really want to create an "Italian-Inspired" category, and place this restaurant in it, since in no way does this place seem Italian to me. The decor is that of post Denny's/Golden Coral. I ordered the half Caesar salad, Combination plate with Chicken Parmigiana, and Italian Sausage Ravioli. The salad was nothing but yellow/white portions of the salad. I shared the entre with my girlfriend, and we could not stomach finishing the meal. The sauce was extremely watery and bland, ravioli was unappetizing. I think defrosting Stouffer's Skillet Sensation or pouring a can of Ragu would have been a better bet. Garlic rolls were ok, but not worth the hype. One thing that I would say is outstanding is their service. The two stars is for service alone. I wanted to give them 3 stars because of service, but didn't in fear that people would not read the full review and interpret my rating as being based on food quality. The waitresses/waiters served as a complete team, with different people bring out the food, taking our empty plate, cashing out our tab in matters of minutes. Not often that I come across this caliber of service on the island, unless you are shelling out wades of cash. Kudos to the team. Other than that, avoid this place if you are in the mood for some Italian food, and not Italian-inspired. Try Zippy's spaghetti plate, you will have better luck there. read more

I visited Bravo Restaurant this past Sunday. In reality, I've been going to Bravo a lot during my life as I used to live on that side of the island and grew up going there frequently. These days, I only go once in awhile. I know it's not your 5 star Italian restaurant but it meets expectations. My daughter actually wanted to go. Being the weekend, it was crowded. The wait was about 20 minutes. Once we were seated, it took awhile to get our the menu and our water and most important of all...our garlic rolls. One reason we like visiting Bravo is for their famous, unlimited garlic rolls. Since I haven't been here in awhile, I noticed that it comes in a smaller basket and that the rolls, which used to be round, are now like knots or like mini crescent shaped...so only about 5 in a basket. Of course the basket is refillable so go for it and ask for another... How was it? Glistening with butter and bits of garlic and parsley on the outside with a crusty texture but soft on the inside. Very addicting...but you don't want to fill up on these...or do you? Lunch specials were available so we each selected a pasta with salad. Reasonably priced, about $7.99, I think? You choose a pasta and a sauce. We got fusili with pomodoro, spinach tortellini with alfredo, linguine with clam sauce. The food came pretty fast and no problems. The pasta was al dente and the sauces were good. Constant traffic in and out throughout the entire time we ate which shows how popular this place is. No dessert for us, although I have had the spumoni at times. Bravo is a nice family restaurant, great for conversation, very casual, good food, good service. read more

Tiramisu and garlic knots are addicting. The portions are fairly large and most of the food I find delicious. The service is usually quick. I've only had one bad experience where the girl never came back to check on us after she dropped off the check. I had the tiramisu and wanted to ask for a box and sat there for 20 minutes waiting. She even made eye contact and I waved her over, but nothing. I eventually got annoyed and asked some other random person running around for a take out box. Lesson to be learned is if your guests are still eating you still need to check on them after you deliver the check. Just because you, the waitress are done doesn't mean they are done. read more

Giving this place 1 star after our last visit which was terrible! Bravos has been a long time favorite in my family. We visit pretty often for lunch & dinner. The food does taste good which is where the 1 star came in. That being said our last visit will most likely have been our last indefinitely!! Upon arriving we were not greeted by the hostess (younger girl) standing at the host stand. She just kinda forced a half smile & asked how many? She looked annoyed that we came in. She then sat us and didn't say a word. She didn't even ask if we needed a highchair even though it was obvious that my 1 year old who I was carrying in my arms needed something to sit in. We actually had to ask HER for a high chair! She then brought a filthy chair with broken buckles. The whole place smelt very musky like inside of an old dirty wooden cabinet under ones sink. You know that smell! Lol Not something you wanna smell in a restaurant when you're about to eat :0/ After getting water & drinks my 6 yo pulls something from under the table & asked mom what's this? I felt it on my foot! When I looked I noticed it was an uncapped used needle syringe of some sort that he was holding. I freaked!! Then asked him if he got poked & took it straight to the manager. He wasn't very shocked & just said "I'm sorry, thank you for letting me know" and that was it. Never asked if everyone was ok or if anyone got poked. Nothing! Well, he did comp our 1 dessert we ordered later. Big whoop! I was beyond shocked & mortified. I couldn't believe that their busers didn't catch that!! Btw the whole time we were there the same hostess was walking around with the most irritated look on her face. Not one smile. Not even a fake one. You can tell she hates her job & customers and doesn't want to be there. Not good for the first person/interaction one receives upon coming into an establishment. NEVER AGAIN!! Totally unacceptable!!
