I had to update my review because this place is always a staple in our household for filling, fabulous, food at a great value...oh, and also because one of my favorite Yelpers is in town (Mikey C) and I recommended this place to him and it just won't do with my previous 3-star review (not sure what possessed me to give a 3-star when I've been coming here for over 20 years). Sure, the place is crowded and loud and parking can suck really bad, but where else can you get endless garlic buttery rolls? I usually end up sprinkling Parmesan cheese on them, followed by the red pepper flakes. Where else can you get freshly made linguine noodles with a flavorful Tomato cream sauce with calamari body parts in them? Here! That's where! I've been ordering the Calamari Linguine for years and years and years and years and haven't found better anywhere else. We had dinner at a fancy restaurant the other night and their calamari linguine was nowhere near Bravo's quality. *Keto Review* You're probably thinking, "what idiot would go to an Italian restaurant while on a keto diet?" THIS GUY...girl. My college classmates that I hadn't seen in 2 years due to work and covid wanted to come here so instead of being a a party pooper, I "man-ed up" and went. I'm assuming you can pretty do any pasta dish on the menu with "fresh vegetables" instead of pasta. When you hear fresh vegetables you think of a salad but it's basically steamed veggies. Fresh? Idk, reminds me of the frozen stuff because of the fancy way the carrots were cut but truthfully I don't care. I ordered the Shrimp Arabiatta with the fresh vegetables. The substitution is a $1 upcharge which is a small price to pay to stay on my diet. My only issue is that the menu warns that this dish is very spicy but I would characterize it more as just regular spicy. The dish was good. I pretty much ate it all...except the carrots. I do not like carrots. Service was good. Food came out fast. Garlic knots were refilled then placed right in front of me. I wanted to cry. Had lunch at Bravo's today by Pearl ridge for lunch, along with their regular menu they have a special lunch menu. Ordered the chicken parmasan with spaghetti noodles. Portions is lunch size for 14.99 just enough with no leftovers. The pasta was not El Dante so very disappointed! Waitress was not very friendly, seems like just there to do her job and nothing more. The only good thing was the unlimited garlic knots...but planning on going back soon...the spaghetti was good! read more

Went there for lunch today, food was ok, waitress was alright but what makes me not want to go back was how dirty it was, all floor surfaces were filthy, a cabinet near our table was so dusty, walking by the bar area to the bathroom and the stench from that area was so bad, the entire restaurant smelled dirty, it it's that dirty on the customers side I can just imagine what the back area where food is prepped. It was our first time here and they did not disappoint! The serve was so friendly and so fast! Our food was soo good and was great! We ordered the eggplant and chicken parmigiana with white sauce and a bit of marinara. I needed that marinara with the Alfredo sauce! The calamari was cut thin and that's what I love!! The shrimp was so nice and crispy! The pesto with shrimp and scallop was sooo creamy! Came here for a lunch. Lunch menu mon-fri is served until 2pm, and sat-sun until 4pm. Wonderful lunch menu. Basically all the favorites of dinner in smaller (but still gigantic!) portions. Very reasonably priced for such great food. Know, also, that there are drink specials for lunch! I ordered the Chicken Parmigana, and it was sooo good! The chicken was very tender. My dad ordered the Calamari and Shrimp Pasta, and he said it was really good as well. I could tell he enjoyed it because he barely talked through the entire meal! I was busy inhaling mine, but when I looked up to see his plate, it was empty! So yes, good choice. Must also say that the complimentary garlic knots are a yes, too. During the pandemic I never had any problems with my orders at Bravo's...until today. I'm a big fan of their Garlic Knots, so today I decided to buy just a dozen of these Garlic Knots for dinner tonight. When I got home and opened the container...they gave me burnt rolls! Before I could take a picture of it, my family tried them and most were hard and less garlic taste. Out of the dozen, only two (pictured on the right) were "ok". I'm just disappointed that the guy server took upon himself to think this was ok to give this to a customer. Got take out orders for dinner. At 545pm the restaurant was empty. When walking in you smell garlic so I anticipated yummy Italian food. However it was just ok and the garlic rolls everyone rants about weren't anything special. In fact the texture was kind of stale and didn't have much flavor. Food is always good at Bravos been going there for years but my last 2 dine-in experiences not good. The first is that my family of 4 was turned down to dine-in when they weren't even closed for another 40mins. The other experience we saw a huge roach crawling on the back wall mirror fluttering its wings as if it was about to fly. That was gross! Level of service almost comparable to a huffy-puffy fine dining restaurant. Iced teas filled, finished dishes removed, anticipation of take-out containers and processing of bill. Calamari steak was a large kind of thick square of crispy softness. Amazing. My go to Italian restaurant in Aiea. I've been to others but there's no one that compares to their garlic knots. Their garlic knots are definitely superior. In fact during Covid, they include their garlic knots for takeout and it's not just 3-4 pieces. It's a plate lunch load. I'm pretty sure it comes with around 8-10. Lol Efficiency is so key when it comes to these Covid practices and they have it down. Anywhere you go, even if you they don't have it right at front, sanitize up before you enter restaurants and please read the signs, while keeping your distance. They'll have your phone order queued up on the counter and they'll bring your bill to you and you follow the signs out-easy! I love pasta, specifically penne. Depending how I feel I go with the chicken pesto penne that's loaded up with garlic pesto and chicken that could last you about two meals (esp if you're eating it with garlic knots LOL). I also may get the lasagna which are also HUGE. I'm starting to think the key to making good pasta is making in bulk. You know how there are some recipes you just can't make small amounts of because the portions of ingredients for bulk just tastes so much better? Is it like that? What's lovely to add is a salad. Crisp, refreshing, healthy salad. And don't worry, all take out orders come with garlic knots. LOL I'm obsessed. read more

I guess I should start with what was good, which only came down to the service (and the bread rolls), very responsive and very quick paced service was awesome but, as far as ambiance goes, I'll just say there was some lingering odor, idk if it was mold but it was detestable to say the least. Now for the food, I ordered a lasagna which was not up to par, honestly I would've appreciated a stauffers frozen lasagna over what I was served, which came drowned in marinara sauce and I'm hoping it was canned marinara sauce because if it was homemade that's just depressing. I also ordered the Ravioli with a side of chicken and I would have preferred chef boyardees instead of what I was served which also came drowned in marinara sauce and the chicken was unseasoned and very dry, tasted like cardboard. Will definitely be going to Olive Garden next time I craving Italian. read more

I came here for the lunch special and it was quite amazing. The service was absolutely awesome. Their garlic knot bread was so warm and delicious. The bread baskets kept on coming and I really appreciated that. The ambiance was warm and welcoming with the smell of delicious Italian food. Its so nice to be back here and eat in a familiar establishment again. They require to have a mask on like every where else. The staff use gloves which is awesome and they have plexiglass around the restaurant. Each party was spread out and sitting 6 feet apart. They did not take our temperature. Our waitress was awesome, I didnt get her name though. She was nice and service was fast. Everyone on my table enjoyed their food, but my chicken in my salad was a bit hard. If I could give this place a negative 5, I would. This was truly the worst meal I have ever eaten in my entire life! Disgusting is an understatement. It wasn't edible. I ordered chicken piccata. The chicken breast was from some frozen patty served in watery yellow sauce that was supposed to be a lemon butter sauce. The rolls were way too garlicky. Bravo is my favorite Italian restaurant. I always order spaghetti and the lasagna. The staff are nice, and I rarely have any trouble with the staff members. On my last visit, I tried the shrimp scampi, and it was alright, I just needed to add lemon to add a kick of flavor. I would recommend this restaurant for a date or family meal. read more

What in excellent place to go outside of the normal rush of lunch hour. We entered at around 2 p.m. and it was any seat you want available for the six of us. I really want to get into the food right away because I've been here number of times and I must say outside of normal eating hours, this was a really good experience. The service was excellent and attentive. Young waitress was very bubbly and kind. She was accommodating and able to answer all our questions about the menu. I feel like we always have complicated eaters in our bunch. Anyways, we ordered a variety of different dishes so that we would be able to taste one another's plates, however mine was so delectable that I just ate it myself. I normally don't eat that much pasta, but the butter garlic sauce with rigatoni and mushrooms cooked to perfection was extremely satisfying and quite tasty. My nephew had the deep fried mozzarella, that was so amazing and he topped it off with a marinara sauce, which was not that spectacular, but to be fair it's not my favorite either. And those little medallions of mozzarella was quite the delight and talk of the hour, in fact everyone took at least a bit of a taste. We also ended our lunch with a shared cherry cheesecake and it was a little on the sweeter side, however it was deserted, so it's to be expected. I would definitely give Bravo 2 thumbs up for today's visit and I do plan on coming again soon. Garlic knots! Oh my one of the main reasons I love going here. If you want Italian and a place that is affordable and not too long of a wait this is your place to go. I often find that I don't wait here too long for a table and for my order let alone they continually refill your basket with garlic knots. They have a standard menu but also a special one inside the menu. I order more on the vegetarian side. My friends and family love their shrimp, scallop pesto and oven rave about the various type of pasta to choose from. I often order the angel hair pasta just because it soaks up the sauce and is oh so good. They accommodate for large parties and if you want you can always reserve the small room I believe it only hold a certain amount and you have to order a certain dollar amount to use the room. I love their desserts and that they have Anna Miller pies. SO what I would suggests if you do not what to be with the crowds? Go a little before the lunch and dinner hours. Came here last night for dinner and while there were multiple groups of people waiting, the girls at the counter were able to sit my date and I to a small booth. We sure didn't get nice looks from those left waiting but not our fault their parties were larger. We were served by Victoria and she was really good. She dropped off garlic notes without delay and was onto our drink order. She took our orders and in no time, we were being served. Bravos has been around for as long as I can remember, I used to come with my parents when I was younger & as I grew into a adult I now bring my own family to enjoy. It's always a hit here, I love getting their pastas. I don't think I've ever tried anything else besides different types of pastas I did try some of the appetizers like the Caesar salad, caprese salad, I believe they have calamari as well... all were very good. Price point isn't bad, ample parking outside & staff is usually very friendly & fast. Oh! & you can't forget the bread, each visit you get complimentary & refillable garlic bread! My favorite thing to do is dip the bread into my pasta sauce, it's so good! Try not to eat too much bread before your main meal or else you'll get full too fast since their portions are pretty big. This is my go-to spot for quick, cheaper, tasty pasta. I love Bravos. Maybe a little too much, especially when they recognize my usual order. And no, they're not some super fancy restaurant, so I wouldn't hold them to the same standards. But nevertheless, this place is my usual spot when I have pasta cravings. I typically order the Alfredo with broccoli - I substitute the fettuccini noodles for fusilli. I also love their shrimp scampi and the spinach ravioli. Everything is super flavorful. But most of all, I love the garlic knots. Like who doesn't love them? During dine-in, they just keep bringing the baskets to your table. For takeout, they still provide them complimentary. And they give a lot. Way more than I need for the one dish I order but I'm not complaining. Keep in mind that they don't have their full menu during this COVID take-out period. If you need the limited menu, they have it on their website. Picky eater note: so far, they've been pretty good about add-ins, taking out items, and substitutions (you have to pay extra for additional items, of course). I don't know how much that has changed with their limited COVID take-out menu, but they have been very accommodating to my orders thus far. read more
