If your bicycle is broken and you happen to be in walking distance of Bravo's, then I highly recommend it. The bicycle selection here is extremely limited but all the parts you need to get riding again are on hand. Repair charges are usually in the $5 - $20 range. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, though at times there might be a language barrier. On weekend's this place can be backed up with repairs. Bonus reason to go here: Spotting a chromed out adult sized tricycle with a giant subwoofer hooked up to it, blasting spanish music. read more

Reason for stopping by: To make sure my bike assembly was good Service: Pros: The service was done pretty well. The staff knows what they are doing and my bike was in riding order right when I stepped out of the shop. Cons: The repair was not done on a bike stand which kind of worried me a little; the way he was handling my bike made me a little jumpy. Not all of the nuts were properly screwed, when I got home, I discovered that my back brake caliper was a little loose. Price: The service was $15 which is pretty cheap. I probably would have gotten charged way more if I had gone to any other bike shop. I also purchased a set of allen keys there for $4 which, again, is pretty cheap. Time: The service took about 30 minutes. It took a little longer than I expected and it seemed like things were dragging on, but, again, the service was decent so it wasn't not much of a problem. Overall: This bike shop is great! I would definitely point you in the direction of Bravo's if you ever needed a fix. The staff is friendly and know the in-and-out's of a bike. The only thing that bugged me a little was that the whole staff was starring down my bike while one of them was servicing it. read more

I've been getting my bike fixed here for about 6 years and I've never had anything but good experiences. The guy that runs the place is fast, friendly, and his prices are very affordable. I usually just come in for a tube change or to fix my breaks, but I've purchased a few components here as well. What I really appreciate about the store is that the guy typically takes repairs in order of who gets there first, but he appreciates efficiency, and he will replace a tube in like 6 minutes, instead of making you wait 40 minutes while he does some serious work on someone else's bike. read more

Affordable prices, but what you pay is what you get. The people who run this shop are really nice and all, but they don't know how to handle customers when it gets really busy. Also, I feel like they rush a lot of jobs. Just the other day I went to get a rack mounted on my bike, and unfortunately, it came off within a couple of days. This isn't a place where they're going to do a thorough inspection of your bike and make recommendations afterwards. This is a place where you bring your bike, tell them what's wrong, and they'll fix it. If you need a repair and don't have a lot of money to spend, then Bravo's an OK place to go. read more

i hate giving bad reviews but i will not be going back to this place after years of support. i've been going here since 2013 to get my bike fixed and on several occasions i've been disappointed with how they treat their customers. fyi this is a small shop usually just 2 guys fixing bikes in a small space. but there have been a few times where i've waited for 10-15 minutes to be helped and then a friend of theirs would walk in and get service immediately. its a shame because i prefer to support businesses like theirs over bigger bike shops but i can't continue to work with them. read more

The most unpretentious bike shop around. The father is adept and really sweet. The son is also nice and can handle smaller bike problems. The price is unbeatable. I was having a problem with my peddles sometimes jerking while I was biking - slamming my crotch into my bike seat. The situation was becoming untenable. I brought the bike to the shop, thinking it had to do with the ball bearings. The father looked it over, took it for a quick ride (I was too banged up to want to do it again), and told me that the gear I was using was worn away. He tightened a part to make it so I could not shift into that gear any more, and sent me on my way. He insisted on not charging me for his time - "Just come back." I plan on it. read more

Walked in the bike shop one night with enough money in pocket to buy a new bike or two.. The reason I mention that is because I was treated like if I was looking for a free repair , the mechanic suggested I buy tools and fix the bike myself.. My roommate called around today all over Bushwick looking for a shop that would put together her newly shipped Mercer. One place wasn't open she went to, and anther place said they would charge $40 minimum and it wouldn't be done til Saturday or next week (it was a Thursday). Called Bravo.... no problem.. Went over there.... "No problem, 1 hour." And IT WAS DONE!!! And they only charged her $15. Deal of the century. Go there. Please!!! You wont regret it. read more

This bike shop is solid. Parts and labor costs are insanely low. I've had a couple of flats fixed in Brooklyn and Manhattan and they're almost twice the price of Bravos. Couldn't recommend a better place. read more

I was riding down the road on my bicycle casually (in the wrong direction). A crazy biker was heading in my direction. It was an awkward exchange of bike motions - then a collision. My first bike on bike accident, hopefully the last. My front tire got bent Uri Geller style . I was close by so i stopped in needed a new rim, cost me a total of 35$ for new rim and the repair. The labor cost is next to nothing, the rim seemed about right. Stop by if you need a repair, I'd recommend it. read more

Came into Bravo's Bike shop today to have my bike fixed. Bravo (the owner) of the shop did a really good job fixing the brakes, adjusting and tightening my front wheel and oiling my chain. I have been coming here for regular repairs for years. I came in the other day to get a spring tune up for my bike. Walked in with a smile and greeted the owner, asked politely if he had time for a tune up. He scowled at me, told me my bike was old, and I should buy a new one. Ha. saw reviews about this place and went to it today because my bike had some kind of gear/chain problem where it made cranking noises every time i pedaled. i described the problem to them and they fixed in in less than 10 mins!!! and best of all it was super cheap!!! $6! highly recommend this place in comparison to those overly priced ones. read more

remembered this bike shop from when I lived on stockholm st 4 or 5 years ago. I rode over there yesterday because the road bike I had recently purchased on craigslist totally needed a new chain. They only charged me $14 (labor included!). and it only took about ten minutes at most.
