Thoroughly enjoyed the meal at Toro Toro…read more Even as a hotel lobby restaurant, once inside it had a great atmosphere. Service from Kira and crew was perfect, including her recommendations. Food was tasty across the board. The complimentary valet parking, especially now that Fort Worth no longer has free parking garages, was an added benefit.

I had seen Toro toro as a recommendation off a local foodie page. I figured I try it out due to the…read moreraving reviews. It was about a 40 minute drive and your heading to downton Fort Worth. It seemed like an elevated resturant you'd like to celebrate a special meal with loved ones. They do offer a happy hour so we were able to save a dollar or so but for the most part the menu is pricey. My rating is based off sides. I'm not bothered by spending more money or purchasing a side separately however, when it's not cooked well or missing ingredients it makes the meal a little disconnected. This may be due to expecting more from a "nicer" place but the truth is it will always come down to quality and this it was lacking this evening. What we ordered Amarillo Ceviche $22.00 ahi tuna, ají amarillo, leche de tigre, mango, cucumber, red onion - this appetizer was phenomenal we were all fighting for the last bite everything was do fresh and naturally a light app No complaints on our protein it was cooked to our preference 10oz Wagyu Picanha $58.00 14oz Prime Ribeye $68.00 Sides are sold separately Pork Belly Mac & Cheese $17.00. - Pork Belly and chorizo were subtle but loved the cheese and pasta Roasted Heirloom Carrots $17.00 - Were so roasted there was hardly any carrots

I loved it! I say…read more"I" as my wife wasn't as big a fan of the food as I was. We had reservations in a busy Saturday night and were seated at a comfortable 2-top. They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!
