They sent out Abraham who was friendly and knowledgeable about how to inspect and fix our roof. He gave us an estimate and after our approval he was able to complete the job. I have a composition roof that is in pretty good shape, but I have a few areas of concern from a leak perspective. I asked my real estate agent for a couple roofing company referrals, and Brazil was one one of the companies given to me. A nice young man did an inspection of the roof in April and identified a couple areas of concern. He said he'd have a report to me with pictures in a couple days. Three weeks later I called the estimator and said I had not received my quote and was told that he'd been real busy with things but that I'd have my quote shortly. Another 3 weeks went by (now 6 weeks total) and so I called and talked to the office staff. They said they'd look into it. In mid June, after two months had gone by, I called and asked to talk to the owner. Instead of calling me back, as I had asked, I got a phone call from the estimator saying that he will "try real hard" to get me my quote within the week. That didn't happen. So I called AGAIN and asked to have the owner call me. And again, he did not call me back as specifically requested, taking no ownership in the problem, and instead just had his estimator call me and give me another excuse filled call. As I am writing this review, it is now OVER 3 MONTHS from when the roof was initially inspected and I STILL have not had a call from the owner nor have I received my roof repair quote. So I'm giving up and am moving on. A lot of the reviews here say they do great work. But you can't get to the work phase if you can't get a quote/estimate in a reasonable period of time. And quite frankly, if this is how I am responded to when a company is trying to woo me and win my business, as in present your best image, it puts doubt and concerns in my mind about responsiveness and meeting work deadlines later on down the line if I had gotten a quote and decided to go with them. I'm baffled by this whole experience, especially because they came as a referral from my long-time real estate agent. I can't speak to what type of work Brazil Quality Roofing does. Maybe they do good work when they are interested in putting on a new roof. I can't speak to their pricing, as to whether it is fair and competitive, because after 3 months I never got a quote. But as far as repairs go, the conclusion I am left with is that either they don't have enough estimators and their estimators are running ragged and are overwhelmed, or roof repair work has a LOW priority vs. reroofing for them and they have plenty of reroofing projects going on right now. A major disappointment out of this whole experience is that the owner did NOT call me when I specifically requested him to call me, TWO separate times. He just handed it back to the estimator to call me back for the umteenth time and apparently did not want to be bothered with my issue or taking ownership in it and helping to resolve it. read more

Great Work Guys! After roughly 30yrs, the wood siding on my chimney was in desperate need of a makeover to remove the dry rot that had developed. Brazil put on our roof about over 12yrs ago when we purchased the home and since we have had ZERO problems, I decided to use them again for the chimney work and again they did a great job! Even working through a few rain delays, they did a nice job keeping me informed, can't ask for more than that. Worst roofing company. Had my roof re-roofed in May 2016. They charged me $18,000 to re roof my 1500 square foot roof, the next highest bidder was asking $13,000 for the same roof and same materials. I paid the extra $5,000 thinking they'd take care of their customer for paying a little more and no negotiating... WRONG! The paint from the vents has chipped and faded away in 6 months, there's a leak in my roof, and I've tried multiple times in 6 months to ask them to come out and fix it, they promised the8y would... but didn't. A roof shouldn't leak the year it was put on, lifetime paint shouldn't fade away within 6 months. Remember, this was a NEW roof. Seems like a case of "you paid cash, you're a dummy because we got your money and now we're running." Buyers BEWARE! I hired Brazil to reroof my home after several years of leaks. The project ended up being more complicated than expected since the leaking had caused water damage to the deck in areas, but Brazil was able to repair all the damage at a fair cost. They were quick to communicate issues discovered during construction and suggest options to resolve them. The new roof looks and works great. A few months after the reroof, I had a separate incident that cause minor damage to a portion of the roof. Brazil responded within 24 hours and repaired the damage for free. In mid-December, after a big storm, I found signs of water damage (discoloring, paint chipping) on the ceiling of my children's bedroom. When I crawled into the attic, I found a leak dripping water steadily (about 1 drip per second) through my roof and into the attic. There was already a large pool of water. I sent messages via Yelp to about 12 different roofers. Michael from Brazil Quality Roofing replied to my message in less than an hour, and his coworker Anthony came to my house the following day. Anthony was careful and methodical about figuring out the source of the leak. Anthony also seemed friendly and knowledgeable about roofing, and forthcoming about the problems he saw. Anthony fixed the leak, most importantly, and patched some other problems he saw that I hadn't even realized. I wanted an estimate of a full roof replacement, so a different employee named Mark came over about a week later, after the holidays. Mark told me I had another 5-7 years left on the roof, which impressed me. If this company only cared about the bottom line, Mark could have exaggerated my roofing problems, and convinced me to get a new roof immediately. Instead, he was honest about the problems he saw, and gave me an estimate so I could save up for a few years. I intend to hire Brazil Roofing to replace my roof in a few years. Brazil Roofing reroofed my house in early August, 2018. They worked tirelessly with me to pick the right color and materials and promised that the roof would be completely finished before I left on vacation. It took them less than 10 days to complete the roof and it was completely finished as promised on time. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, assisted me in making decisions about gutters and downspouts, and addressed some sagging in the roof by retrofitting some of the beams in the garage. When I was concerned one of the gutters wasn't entirely straight, they immediately fixed it. It was a pleasure dealing with Mike Jr, Mike Sr, Nick and Brenda in the office. Don't waste your time with this company, as they have no problem wasting yours. I called them about a month ago and within two days they were able to send out a rep, George, who was a really nice guy. Unfortunately, he had nothing but bad news about my tile roof and told me that he personally wouldn't spend $20 fixing it if it were his roof and that he would just save for a comp roof if he were in my shoes. He said that he would have one of the guys from the office call me with some bids. A few days later a guy from the office called me up and was very pleasant and informative. We spoke for about 20 minutes about the different types/levels of comp and I even inquired about solar. He told me that he would crunch all the numbers and get back to me "by Friday" with some prices. A week went by and I didn't hear back, so I called their office and told them the situation and the gal took my info and told me that she would find out who was working on my bid, then have them call me back. We bought a brand new house in Galt and Brazil was the sub-contractor that did our roof. The work was horrible and we asked them to fix it. So they reluctantly came out and talked to my husband. My husband told them they needed to replace ALL 5-6 flashings that were badly damaged and they made an appointment with my husband for after 12:30 pm. the next day. About 4:00 pm we haven't heard from them. I called Nick and he said the guys already showed up and did the repair. So my husband climbed on the roof to check on the repairs. Needless to say, we were SO FURIOUS!!!!! They replaced ONE flashing, glued the CRAP out of 2 bad flashings and left the other 2 as is and NICK told my husband there's nothing we can do with that. They broke one tile next to the flashing that needed the repair and just left it. No wonder they didn't showed up at the appointed time. They came early to avoid my husband so they can "band-aid" the repair instead of repairing it the right way. By law, aren't they supposed to wait to have the home-owner present to enter on to the property anyways? Well, they didn't do it here!!!! I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the CSLB. Pictures are available upon request if anybody needs proof. It's being shared many times on Facebook already. Social media platforms are a great way to let people know about these things. 5/16 - Update With all the troubles in the beginning with Brazil, they finally made it right with us. I called the Rancho Cordova roofing Company in May for 2019. They came out about 10 days later. They told me they would have an estimate and be able to do my roof repair around the 2nd week in July. After the 3rd week of July went by with no call from them, I called them and they said they had dropped the ball and would be out at the end of August to do the job. Never heard from them again as it is September 12th. Lost over 3 months waiting for them. Very poor Customer Service by this Company. read more

`We have been working on this roofing project for more than 2 years with the delay driven by our desire to coordinate a PV Solar array in to the re-roof. Since we were approved by the City for this year's solar rebate, we pushed hard to get it done. The Brazil team did a fantastic job of keeping the project moving forward despite a number of delays driven by the City permit process. Nick and Mike did a great job keeping us informed each step of the way, and each portion of the job was completed early or on time. Given that we have a nosy dog and curious toddler, we were especially pleased with the clean up each day - considering that they removed more than 4,000 sq ft of 25 year old shake roof, the fact that we only found 4-5 staples and nails was impressive! George did a great repair job on my tile roof for a very reasonable price. While replacing tiles that had fallen off the roof, he discovered several others that were broken. Since they were on the front of the roof facing the street and were no longer available, he replaced them with some existing tiles from the back which of course were a color match and placed the new (slightly different colored) tiles on the back where they were not noticeable. George showed up on time and was very pleasant to deal with. I would certainly use Brazil Quality Roofing again and recommend them highly for roof repairs. read more

This company Brazil NON-Quality Roofing has been a thorn in my side for several years. Several Years ago they did an entire new roof on my 1900 sq ft home. I paid top quality and got horrible quality work with a night mare of customer service. They took my hard earned money and ran. I had a completely new roof as perventive maintenance, mind you I had never had a leak or any problems with my old roof before. After their work I had a leak on the second floor that dripped into my downstairs family room and kitchen. They came out once and put their hands in the air and said not my problem. I had to pay lots of money to have repairs done due to leaks because of their poor craftsmanship. Today several years later I had a painting company come out to give me an estimate and they saw so many horrible mistakes on the roof to include shingles that were not nailed in. I did my homework, thankfully! We obtained 8 roofing quotes. They ranged from $16,000.00 to $10,000.00. We chose Brazil Quality Roofing and we are so very glad we did. They were not the cheapest, close though. Decent roofers but bad business policies. I had them roof my home with new light tile and the work and cost were reasonable. I then had them roof another home I was remodeling to which they gave me a bid to do some repair work on top of the roofing bid cost. Since I had my remodeling crew already working there I chose to have my own workers do the roof repairs at a lower cost. Apparently, this caused Brazil Roofing to be offended to where they would not come back and fix a leak on the tile roof of the first home they roofed for me. They wouldn't return phone calls, emails, and my personal calls to the owner. They didn't fix the leak despite their 5 to 7 year warranty on the original job. Their apparent retaliation was unfair and illegal. They would rather give up plenty of future business and future jobs from a homes remodel/builder like myself who has an ongoing, continual need for roofing contractors. read more
