Excellent service, friendly people - I had a great experience. My car's rubber door seal was starting to come off on the driver's side. I called Brea Auto Body and George received the call and told me to come by. When I got there, there was a line of about 5 people or so ahead of me, but I only ended up waiting about 5 minutes; while I was waiting, Virginia offered complimentary water bottles to everyone who was there. Jim took a look at my door and was able to work his magic and fix the door instantly. While he was fixing the door, Jim explained very coherently what was causing the seal to come off as well as how to fix it in case it were to come undone later on. Considering I'm practically a car newbie, this was something I very much appreciated. I asked Jim to look at another issue with my interior quarter panel that was starting to come undone. He was able to take care of that issue instantly as well. After the repairs, I asked Jim how much I owed him and he told me not to worry about it and that he was happy to help for small issues like that. Jim wouldn't even accept a cash tip and thanked me for stopping by. I can't recommend Brea Auto Body enough; I left the shop wanting to be a better, nicer person after being on the receiving end of a good deed and such great service. Don't go here unless it's an insurance job. I just went in today to get a quote for painting a 2001 Grand Caravan with absolutely zero body damage. Right from the start the gentleman was acting like I was at the wrong place and started the conversation with reasons why I shouldn't be asking them for a quote. Hell of a way to do business. I persevered and asked for a quote anyway. After sitting for 20 minutes he came to with a 3 page quote saying in would be over $9,000.00 to paint a mini van with no body work needed. I took my car in last week to get my rear bumper fixed after being rear-ended and my folks recommended Brea Auto Body since my sister had taken her car to be repaired there not too long ago. I had already heard that they did a good job but I was fortunate enough to see for myself. I will keep it short. The service was absolutely amazing and the staff was great! I was greeted as if I was family and they offered me a fresh bottle of water while I waited. Not only was my bumper and fender good as new upon completion, but they also fixed my front bumper which had been damaged in a completely different accident some months ago free of charge and without my asking. The update calls, the complete file copies (in a folder, of course), the detailed consultation on what to expect in regard to repairs and the process in layman's terms. Well, how should I start on this amazing review about Brea Auto Body, specifically Jim. I believe Jim is the primary person who provides the estimates @Brea Auto Body. I have an older model of Honda Accord that had a burnt out passenger side headlight. I couldn't get to replacing it due to how the car is manufactured. All auto parts stores and mechanics turned me down to help me. I decided to see Brea Auto Body and Jim was there to greet me before they were opened for the day. I had a great experience with estimator - Jim. He's knows his stuff. I went into Brea Auto Body with a broken rear bumper. The turn around time at other auto bodies were 3-5 days. Brea Auto Body did it in one - WITHOUT compromising quality of work. My BMW looks brand new and you would never be able to tell it was in an accident. They are amazing! A colleague of mine took his car in for repairs and was very happy a couple of years back. Well... I was in an accident and I needed to take my car in. I took it in for a quote (and I was able to do that even without an appt). Once I got that I emailed to the person that hit me. She agreed to go through her insurance (Mercury Ins). So I started the process on Sunday with calling it into her insurance company. On Monday the insurance company called me back giving me a bad time for not choosing one of their "preferred" auto body shop. I explained that I didn't trust just anyone with my car and wanted it there. She said fine and to take it in on Wednesday to drop off the car but that I would be without a rental (again because I didn't use their "preferred one"). I told this to Brea Auto Body as I was making an appt to drop it off for the insurance company to look at it. They actually got on the phone and fought for me to get a rental car! They got me one. They said that what Mercury Insurance did was illegal. I had no idea. So they got me the rental car for the day and even fought for a small suv one (which they said they weren't going to give me even though that is what I had). Brea Auto Body kept me in the loop with every step and my car came out looking better than when it went in! They even walked me through the process and helped me contact the insurance company when they weren't calling me back. They really went above and beyond what they needed to do. I had never been in an accident before (other than a hit-and-run) and so I didn't know how any of this worked. They were so patient and understanding. After being unhappy with the original results of the bodywork I had done and ranting online, I was immediately contacted by the owner and scheduled a time to have the car redone. Of course it is not ideal to have to return a few weeks after having work completed, but mistakes do happen and they did everything they could to make it as painless and cost-free as possible. I selected the shop based on Yelp's review. First observation, the shop is very clean and people are very nice and polite. Jim provided very detail explanation of the damage and the involvement to repair. During repair time, Jim kept me posted with the progress. Best of all, it was repaired within a very reasonable time frame. When I pick up the car, the car was perfectly done. The paint is perfectly matched, and the car was fully detailed clean inside out. Brea Auto Body is a great company and I would not hesitate to use them again. Nobody likes to take their automobile into a body shop. Just the reason for being there is a negative to begin with. However these folks have been in business for 38 years, same ownership and they are dedicated to customer satisfaction. Jim was the contact on my repair and he did a great job of getting my repair done right. He fought with my insurance company to replace parts their "recommended shop" wanted to blacksmith. What struck me even more was the fact that the owner was on hand both when I dropped off my vehicle and then again when I picked it up. She introduced herself and was sure to let me know that she was available for any issues that may come up during the repair process as well as my satisfaction afterward.
