While this might not be a typical review, I wanted to leave a review as I know integrity is so hard to find these days especially when it comes to the auto industry I was in an accident and sent my car here for repairs. Upon taking my car apart there was quite a bit more damage than we could see externally. They called me to inform me of what was wrong and let me know about the parts we would need and the work to be done but made sure I knew they weren't a GM certified shop which could affect my warranty on my car. Unfortunately due to that I had to move my car to a different shop however that really stuck with me. They didn't have to point that out and could have just started the work. Terrible service. They did a shoddy paint job, and now the paint is peeling off. They refuse to fix it, causing my husband a lot of stress. Initially, I brought my car in for repair after somebody hit the passenger side front door with their car 3 years ago. After a few months had passed, I noticed that the paint was starting to peel where the repair had been made. I got busy and for whatever reason didn't do anything about it until last week. Even though it had been three years, I stopped by on a whim and asked if they could take a look at the peeling paint and my door (which appeared to be misaligned also) to see if they might be willing to fix everything. Amazingly, even though all that time had gone by, they told me they stand by their work and they would fix it. So, fast forward to today when I got my car back. Consumer beware, I had the front end of my car repaired here, and the paint started failing after six months, once I decided to pursue the warranty that I am promised this company has done everything possible to get out of repairing my car. They lied on the phone to the insurance company about the nature of the issue. I was on the line. I am pretty sure that paint is not supposed to start peeling off the entire surface of the bumper in different locations. I have been in the service industry for over 15 years and there's one thing that I cannot stand, it is when a company does not own up to their mistakes. Not once was I given an apology for what I was experiencing, from the start I was given excuse after excuse after excuse instead of trying to take care of clearly shotty work that was done. They claim because the bottom of the bumper hit a curb that it caused the paint failure. First, the paint fail started before any curb was hit, and the only part damaged is underneath the bumper where it scraped a curb, but yet the entire bumper all the way from left to right and top to bottom has paint peeling. They do not want to warranty it because of this even though they were given the go ahead by me and by the insurance company. Then they want to blame the paint manufacturer and wait on them to see if they will cover it. Again, they are doing everything they can to avoid repairing the work. If they are going lifetime warranty their repairs then why are they trying so hard to avoid fixing an issue that is clearly the fault of a bad paint job. Do not use this company, read more

On 4/17 I was delivering a backhoe to a job site when I got a call from my work saying "there was an accident involving your truck blah blah blah" long story short, a 40 ton crane hit my brand new truck while being unloaded from a trailer. Obviously I was pissed, but I went to go pick up my truck from Canyon Paint & Body in Brea on 5/1 and I was in awe. They did an amazing job, replaced and repaired all damaged parts with OEM parts straight from the dealer. If you're looking for quality work I would definitely choose them 10 times out of 10. $10,000+ worth of damage fixed in less than 2 weeks. You can't beat that. You'll notice the TSS sensor is missing in the second picture, the sensor that Toyota sent Canyon had a broken clip on the back so they're waiting on another one to be delivered in a couple of days.. I had my son's car fixed here through my insurance. The work is supposed to be guaranteed as long as I own the car. The patch on the rear quarter panel popped and cracked about 6 years later. When I brought the car back in to them to get fixed they stated that the car was hit again and that's why it popped lose. I had opened a new claim with my insurance. After I opened the new claim Canyon refused to fix my car with my insurance seem kind of fishy. I took my car to another body shop and this time my insurance company look at the car and said that the patch popping was definitely workmanship and not from another accident. One last thing is this car mostly sat in my driveway while my son was in school. Probably put 300 miles on it in 6 years. I was involved in a rear end collision that left my rear bumper cover and rear passenger side quarter panel damaged on my brand new 2014 Ford Mustang GT. I was pretty bummed to say the least. My Insurance Company referred me to Canyon Paint & Body Inc. to have the repairs done. The Staff was very friendly and kept me up to date each week in regards to the completion of my vehicle. Unfortunately, after the work was completed I had some issues with the paint peeling in between the passenger side tail light and rear bumper cover. I took my car back Canyon Paint to have the issue addressed. I was told they had to remove the bumper cover and refinish the paint. The work took a day and I picked up my car and was back on the road. A couple weeks went by and before leaving for work, I noticed again that the paint was peeling in the same area that was refinished. I waited for my next day off to inspect the damaged area further. I removed the passenger side tail light and discovered more paint damage on the bumper cover that the tail light was masking when installed. I also noticed that the stock tail light mounting holes had been drilled out further in an effort to prevent the tail light from contacting the bumper cover. I personally would not see any reason to modify these mounting holes if the bumper cover is fully aligned. I also discovered that there were two body clips missing that secure the underside of the bumper cover to a metal bracket near the fuel tank. There was also several body screws that were loose that secure the bumper cover to the inner fender wells. I ended up just touching up the paint myself and adjusting the tail light the best I could until I can get a second opinion on the problematic area. I will admit that I am very particular about my vehicle, but I don't think I am going overboard here. I think slowing down and paying a little more attention to detail would have remedied this situation. It is not my intention to hurt this business at all. The Receptionist and Shop Estimators were great to deal with. I just think the Body Shop Technicians should pay a little more attention to the small details. read more
