Got an oil change and asked them to check out a weird sound that was coming from the front of the car that another mechanic couldn't diagnose. Service was awesome despite them not finding what the sound was. They told me to drive it straight to them when it started up again. So simple, I'm not sure why the other mechanic didn't think to offer this up. But the guys here are real friendly and were open about what was coming up next at 100k miles. John and others at Ron & Wayne's get my vote for quality, old-school service. We have been taking my car other places and never satisfied with outcomes. Mechanics don't diagnose and customer service is an oxymoron. My AC has been hot/cool for about three years! I brought my junky old 2009 CRV in to R&W due to overheated engine and leaking coolant; R&W not only diagnosed and fixed the problem (fans out), but they also examined the car for other issues, (found no rear brake pads left!), topped off fluids, and cleaned the car up under the hood. John spent over 20 mins easy explaining the problems, how the car operates, and warning signs for future issues. Now my AC works! I have paid for new freon at least once, if not twice, under other mechanics' advisement... probably needlessly. Also... I felt respected and valued as a female consumer. Great service! My car wasn't braking the way it should be. So I dropped it off here for the day and picked it up about an hour ago-- Good as new! Firestone told me it was probably the hydraulic system and would cost about 4 to 500 dollars, but here they just replaced my rear brakes! It cost a lot less, and my car brakes perfectly! Outstanding service and honesty. I highly recommend The team here. I was looking to purchase a pre owned Honda Element for a work car. I called them on the same day and they were able to accommodate my tight schedule of getting in for an inspection not just on the same day but also within in an hour. Right away they noticed the underside was completely corroded among other problems and instead of taking my $95 for the inspection they were upfront and honest and told me they highly didn't recommend I purchase the vehicles for safety reasons and didn't want to continue the inspection and have to charge me. I really appreciate that because it saved me not only the headache of purchasing a lemon but also saving me $95 on inspection. I also want to point out that never once did they make me feel like they wasted their time or that I was an inconvenience. They genuinely seemed concerned about the safety of car. We called Rob and explained the situation to him and what the dealership was saying and he told us to tow it over. My son's 2011 Subaru was overheating. I replaced the thermostat because I could tell the coolant wasn't circulating but that didn't fix it. I took it to another shop in Brea where they replaced the radiator but when that didn't fix it they were going to replace the water pump for a total cost of more than $1k. I didn't trust him so I took it to Ron and Wayn's and talked to Rob. First off he was aware of the history of this Subaru 2.5L engine and it's overheating problems due to a poor head gasket design but when I described the symptoms he told me it sounded more like air in the system that wouldn't let the thermostat heat up. He explained to me how to go about "burping" the system and even ran a copy of the directions from Subaru's web site. It worked! I went home and followed his directions and after about an hour the system was full of coolant and the thermostat opened allowing circulation. What makes this so helpful was that I was ready to follow his recommendation to replace the head gaskets if necessary which would have cost a couple thousand dollars. We wasted $430 on the radiator from the other shop in Brea but Rob's knowledge and honestly saved my son a lot of $$$. Can't put a price on a mechanic's honesty. read more

This shop is very professional, caring and honest. My husbands car broke down near their shop so we had the car towed there. Wayne looked at the car and determined the motor had ceased up due to no fault of our own. Needing our car, and having an expired warranty we decided to let them fix it for a few thousand. They told us they would love our business but that we should tow it to the dealer because it might be covered by the manufacture so that is what we did. Wayne was right, he saved us a huge expense. My family and I have been taking our cars to Ron and Wayne for the better part of two decades now. I grew up in Brea and have since moved to Long Beach, and I STILL bring my car up here when I need to have it looked at. I have yet to be dissatisfied with their service. As a female who usually takes my car in for service by myself, I'm always wary of dudes trying to upsell me on an "engine flush" or some other such nonsense that they think I'm too dumb to know I don't need (ladies, you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about here). Not only have I NEVER had that experience here, but several times these guys have let me know that whatever my car's issue is is just a small thing...or if there is something bigger that's going to cost more, how long it can wait. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and utterly professional. I've also been quite pleased with their turnaround. It's often possible to drop your car off in the morning and have it back by 5:00p that same day. They've recently started doing a drop-off service as well - if you leave your car there and need to get to work or back home, they'll help you out. read more
