Absolutely unparalleled service. Willy the owner is the man. He's been doing this for 32 years, can do any kind of car, and absolutely will NOT rip you off. I came in with brakes so bad that my brake pad literally fell off the car onto the ground. He showed me what was wrong, including one caliper where the brake pad fell off, but didn't pretend there was more wrong than there was and made sure I understood what needed to be done instead of just saying what could be done or such, in a way where he could make a money like a dealer or someone else would. They even gave me a ride home so I could be comfortable while the work was done and then picked me back up to get my car and pay for the work. Not only all that but he had it done same day within a few hours. I was expecting a big price but they only charged me 30% of what I expected (but hey remember, if Willy gives you a price it's because thats what you need. If it isn't what you expected that doesn't mean he's doing wrong by you. This guy is the best and he is genuine and honest.) 1000/10 recommend. Take anything you need to him. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. I paid for repairs that, in my opinion, were either not completed or not completed properly, and I left feeling completely misled. Communication was poor, and I didn't feel there was any accountability for the issues I experienced. I can't recommend this shop based on my experience. There are far more trustworthy and competent mechanics in the area. I regret spending my money here, and I won't be returning. Had my brakes done here. Since then, it was making a high-pitch noise. I took it back in and within a week, it was making the same noise. I took it to a brake specialist to find that they did a horrible job by ramming the pads in and no lubricant. Will not recommend. read more

Started my day with a dead battery. After instaling a new battery my husband wanted to make sure we were good to go. He took the car to Willy at Brea Auto Service as we have used them before. Willy did a check and it turned out it was the alternator which would have just continued to drane the new battery. We pulled the car in, he changed the alterantor and then noticed we were due for an oil change which he took care of. It is so nice to know that there are business out there that you can trust and make you feel like they care for you as a customer. Fairly new customer. Started going here after seeing a post on facebook where lots of people were recommending them, two of which posters were friends of mine. I have a 35 year old Honda, so having a good mechanic that you can trust is really important. I've been here a few times since last September for typical repairs (once for new struts, once for new brake pads, another time for a blown gasket, oil change, etc). Very satisfied with the job they do and their prices. The quality and speed of their work is excellent. I just get a great vibe from them. I feel like I can put my trust in their work and judgement. And I like it when they seem to do little extra things without even mentioning them or charging me. On two of my visits it seemed like they adjusted my clutch without charging me or mentioning that it was done. And this last visit (for the blown gasket) I noticed that they adjusted my brakes for free as well. Just a real nice thing to do, and I really do appreciate it! I honestly don't know where to start with this review, other than I have been chasing this intermittent issue with my car for over five years.... yup....five years.... and it has been the most annoying frustrating issue due to rarity of the instance occurring. I was on my way home to Nevada when my car decided to hiccup, hesitate, and shake. Fortunately for me, I happen to be heading to the shell station to fill the tank before making my journey home. My car's check engine light decided come on (and stay on this time). This is the first time the CEL light has decided to stay on where in the past it would just flicker and go away just as quickly making it extremely hard to read with a scan tool because as soon as I would turn the car off and back on the sensor would fix itself and the computer would erase the code. I have had 3 shops plug in the scan tools after seen the flicker of the CEL light and all of them said there was nothing in the code history. This time since the CEL light stayed on and I happen to be pulling into the shell station I remembered there was a service station there. I walked in to the shop and left the car running so the code wouldn't leave or erase and that is where I met Willy. I explained to Willy my situation/story with the elusive CEL light to which he chuckled and said no problem let me grab my tool and we'll check it out. I was so appreciative that he stopped what he was doing to help me. There were a lot of vehicles outside his shop and it was only him and another technician working. So for him to stop working on his current job and help me meant a lot. We plugged in the scan tool to my ECU OBDII and found the rogue code. Apparently the faulty item that has been causing me grief over all these years was my crankshaft position sensor. Right away Willy started listing all the symptoms that can happen with a bad CPS and literally everything he said was exactly what I was experiencing. I was speechless. As former boat mechanic I am pretty mechanically inclined when it comes to working on engines. So, I said thank you to Willy with the idea I would just try to make it home and order the part myself to replace it and save some money. I asked him how much he wanted for the scan and his time and he said not to worry about it. I slipped him $20 for his time and I went to my car and sat for 5 minutes asking myself if I really should drive it with a bad sensor. I thought about it and realized that getting stuck on the 15 FWY half way to home would suck....a lot. Not to mention running my engine with a bad CPS sensor isn't a good idea to begin with. I decide to walk back into the shop and see if Willy would be willing to help me out and get me back on the road so I can go to work the following day. He contemplated about it and said he would check to see if he could get the part first. Well, he found one and said he would help me out with a same day service and call me when it's ready. A few hours later I was back on the road and had zero issues the whole way home. Additionally, few days later as I am writing this review I continue to have zero runability issues and my car has improved throttle response and better fuel efficiency than before. I work at a boat shop for a living and understand what it's like being overloaded with work. I understand the position that Willy was in to take my car in and offer me a same day service. I am extremely grateful of the courtesy and professionalism which is why I am writing this review today. Thank you so much Willy! On Friday night I went to a funeral viewing. My car overheated and I was extremely scared. AAA came and put radiator fluid. I was recommended to Willy. I came Saturday morning all flustered and scared. He was kind, patient and attentive. He was able to fix the hoes that was not properly placed and replaced the hoes and clamps at a great rate. He showed me pictures of the problem and was able to save me a huge amount of money.
