So glad I found Charlie's auto tech. This family owned shop goes above and beyond with their services. My Lexus Gx470 only has 110k miles and was showing a code for its catalytic converter. It is not a cheap part to replacement and most other shops would've told me to just get it replaced but Mike gave me a very reasonable and doable solution to try before shelling out some major dollars to replacing it possibly prematurely. I had called for a quote on an alternator (the AAA tow person told me 100% that it was my alternator), but Mike was able to determine, over the phone, that that was a mis-diagnosis. When I called to ask about a new clutch, I knew right away I was talking to an expert. He knew exactly what was wrong and didn't just give me a standard answer about a resurface like everyone else. While in the shop, he wouldn't take money from the guy ahead of me after diagnosing a problem the guy didn't want to have fixed. When working on the car he kept me aware of the progress and didn't change the price after the job took much longer than expected (this is common on my truck and not a reflection on them).
