Bread Alone is one of the many stands at Union Square Greenmarket and is well worth a visit. the small tent offers a variety of bakery items from different breads to muffins to pastries and more. strolled through the Greenmarket, recently, and picked up a Chocolate Walnut Cookie and let me tell this is one damn good cookie. a crumbly cookie with chunks of chocolate and walnut pieces...a great mix of cookie textures. the cookie is the right amount of sweetness and crunch. the bakery lives up to its no-nonsense reputation of sustainable methods and organic-certified ingredients to create simple yet great baked goods. even on a chilly February afternoon, the staff seemed pretty chipper. definitely check out their schedule on the Greenmarket schedule and stop by.

Love this place. So hard to find multigrain baguettes. They have so much variety of flavor in every bite and go great for a sandwich. This place is way cheaper than Breads Bakery down the block and I think it might even be better . Love their baguettes but would to try everything. Sweets don't look obnoxiously sweet too. Cheers to wonderful bread in the neighborhood.

I love their baked items. The scones, croissants, and muffins are all lovely. I always buy multiples because once you warm them up, you can't eat just one. The workers are very hospitable and respectful. I always visit this stall when I come to the market.

Do yourself a favor and try the pecan sticky buns. They have become an afternoon snack for me way too often. Good bakes, friendly staff.

My allergies have been very bad lately and sourdough is an item I'm supposed to avoid because of the mold allergy.

The orange has a base made of chocolate Rice Krispies. All of them have more fruity filling than the mousse. They are very fragile. I recommend eating there if you can. Finding can be a challenge because it's busy and there aren't many seats. I got mine to go just to be taken to the park across the street . The mushroom kind are totally ruined. It has strawberriy jelly and it was a mess. The orange one was almost ruined too. The mango has some diced mangoes. I devoured three of them instantly. Definitely come back to try more.

Yummmy!!! What a cute and unique dessert boutique! So many choices but what makes this place stand…read moreout are its adorable and colorful mousse delicacies. The inside was packed with folks! There was no place to sit down because of how busy it was but the staff kept the line moving quick enough. The place still seemed reasonably stocked with their desserts and treats, despite the late afternoon time that I arrived. I ordered 4 different treats to go and they're packed in small box individually. Unfortunately, they didn't quite stay intact during my trek back to my hotel and were tumbled around in the boxes. Nonetheless, the taste and flavors held up well and even after a few days in the fridge. The yuzu daisy has this vivid pastel yellow-pink base and adorable gelatinous yellow gem atop a white flower. The yuzu gives a subtle infusion of tart that is balanced out by the light delicate skin texture of the rest. Sitting atop a thin round rice crispy. I loved the red mushroom one which is a creamy pink mousse inside the cap. The stalk is a thin porcelain-white chocolate light base also filled with a rich cream. Adjacent are two cute little tree nuts. The orange and mango have such vivid colors and are aesthetically pleasing too. Just like the previous ones, their delicate chocolate exterior houses a rich tarty mousse-y filling. I think the mushroom has a better balance and variety of flavors. Although I don't eat mousse treats often, I look forward to trying some of the other ones in the future, like the blueberry, banana and cloud.

I will say that I didn't think I would like this cookie at all since usually I like thinner crunchier cookies. But holy cow!! The Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie was not too sweet as the walnuts were the perfect balance! I think this is for people who are not too big on chocolate chips in their cookie. The Coconut Caramel cookie reminded me of a Samoa! You can taste all the coconut in the cookie and it was delicious! The Sticky Bun was so soft as well! 10/10!
