    Almond croissant is awesome

Awesome bakery! The white chocolate pistachio cookie is incredible. Also really liked the duo cookie and almond croissant. Slice of basque was decent too, but the cookies are where it's at.

Came here strictly for the mini jambon beurre because I was craving one and I'll definitely be back for more. The bakery was loaded with baked goods - from fresh bread to a multitude of sweet treats. I only got the jambon beurre which had a deliciously crispy baguette - my standard for an excellent bakery. There was a little line but it moves quick and most people take their pastries to go.

Sugar Brioche ($3.50) - I enjoyed the sweetness of this pastry! I don't have many brioches to compare this to but I was satisfied

I went here on a Tuesday at 12pm. It wasn't busy at all. I got the plie (plee ay) and brioche. These were recommended by staff and they did not disappoint. They were both flavorful and flaky and fluffy. I'd recommend trying it out! Staff : 10/10 Environment: 10/10 Food: 10/10

Had the plie and ham/chesse croissant. Both great bites. Flaky with just the right amount of butter. And the plie was huge with the perfect amount of creme and chocolate chips. Both on the cheaper end as well. Would definitely come back!

this is my slice of heaven love that i'm a five minute walk from here and it's open every day!! the prices are fair, the staff are kind, and the goods are mouthwatering. i've tried a lot here, but i find myself coming back to the warm baguettes with french butter and the crossiants. the olive bread is also great to make your own focaccia sandwich for a beach day! it's truly an ethical business and ive never been happier to support breadstory. made with love from a few genuine, passionate bakers. give it a go, you won't regret it

As a croissant connoisseur + lover, this place was def a shocking miss.. The small, neighborhood bakery was nearby and knew i had to try it out, especially when I heard their pain au chocolat had dark chocolate bars. Although it was around late afternoon, they were kinda still stocked and had plenty of loafs and breads to offer. The croissant itself was missing a ton a flavor and mainly the buttery texture and layers. The dark chocolate wouldn've been a hit but the lack of flavor ruined it. I would come back to try out their baguettes tho.

I was staying in StuyTown with friends and they recommended this bakery. I have to say that it's a solid bakery and I'm sure if I lived there I would be a regular. But given all the other spectacular bakeries I tried during my stay, this place simply didn't shine too much in my opinion.

I walk by Bread Story very often and have always been interested in it's cute interior. I decided to check it out today. Upon entering there are a variety of pastries on display, priced between $3-$5, which is fair. Their coffee beverages were also pretty fairly priced. I got a cold brew for $3.50 which I think is worth compared to the prices of coffee at other places. The chocolate brioche pastry I got was good, but really just bread and chocolate chips. I did enjoy my cold brew a lot and was happy with the drink considering it's price.

This used to be my favorite Italian bakery. I haven't been to this bakery in years like ten years…read moresince I was a teenager. Today I decided to make a special trip to go here to grab a few goodies. I forgot how small the place was and how low the ceilings were. That wasn't an issue though. The place was nice and cakes were stacked neatly. What was surprising to me is that they don't have any cookies laid in the front display. It's all placed in the back almost hidden. I was deeply disappointed with their cookie selection. It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!

For such a big cookie the middle was cooked perfectly. Very chunky and sizable cookie too so I ate it throughout the day rather than one sitting!!
