Stopped by Daily Provisions to order breakfast on a Wednesday morning. There's seating indoors…read more(with low back stools) and seating out front (about four tables). I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I've been here a few times but today I finally came early enough to try the famed Lumberjack, a…read moreB.E.C. sandwiched between a maple cruller. It's delicious. The peppery, thick bacon and the quite sweet, icing-topped cruller are a beautiful study in contrasts. The egg was nicely runny. I will say that's it's definitely not a good on-the-go sandwich, as it falls apart easily. However, I don't think this is a great spot for coffee. I was a bit underwhelmed by my latte, which tasted more like thin drip coffee than a rich, strong espresso. I also think they could offer more sweetener options.

The Cardamom Latte (9/10) was almost perfect. I got it with oat milk, which made it nice and nutty…read more The espresso was on the lighter side, so I wished it had a richer, stronger espresso flavor, but it was still really satisfying and not too sweet. The Almond Croissant (7/10) had an amazing flaky crust, dense interior, and crispy almonds on top. Honestly, probably the best almond croissant I've had texture-wise, but I'm not a huge fan of almond paste in the middle, which is probably just because I'm not really an almond croissant person. The Cardamom Bun (8.5/10) was the best cardamom bun I've ever had!! The bread was super soft and pillowy, almost like a dinner roll, but the outside was caramelized and had so much cardamom flavor. It was perfectly sweet and I could genuinely eat so many of these. This one made me love cardamom buns, and I'm not sure if any others will top it. Vibes were a 9.5/10. The space felt like I was in a cafe in Japan. Service was fine.

We got the cardamom bun and pain suisse pastries and an iced americano.. and if there's anything you take away from this review.. it's that you come here .. you HAVE to try at least one pastry or else why would you go??? The cardamom bun is La Cabra's signature laminated cardamom bun , and the pain suisse (my personal fav) was so delicious!!!
