Ah this place is so good we went twice during our short trip!…read more If the line is out to the parking lot expect to wait 30-45 minutes. It helps to order ahead but you will need to order the day before - they don't do same day orders. Also some things you can't order online like their musubis, etc. However you can still get their malasadas and croissants, etc. We tried all their malasadas and our favs were the coconut cream and the lilikoi (passion fruit). We also tried their mango bread which was moist and fruity (no chunks of mango in it though) and the lime pie which was lovely! However, I think the big surprise for me was that the malasadas are smaller than I expected. The first time I had a malasada was at Leonard's in Oahu which are like...the size of your hand. These are more like golf ball sized. They were still excellent but I think that just caught me off guard. But we still enjoyed them!

It was evil and so delicious!!! major regrets of not buying the last one. I think a cup of coffee would have been a nice pairing. Service was decent. I mean they were closing and had hardly anything left. But we're very nice. It's a very cute shop and smelled very good when we walked in. They do not take cash just in case You intend to use cash.

There were RACKS of them!! In addition to customers lining up to buy them. That's how you know they're good! One lady told me that the butter rolls are good too, so I bought some of them to try. The butter rolls were super soft and had a nice sweetness to them. I enjoyed them! The stick donut was AMAZING! I enjoyed pulling it off the stick. The glaze is delicious and the donuts have a crispy outside and soft, fluffy inside. So yummy! I'll definitely be back for more! There were three sweet ladies working in the store. One was getting what seemed to be phone orders prepared and the other two were checking people out. They take credit card in addition to cash! Parking: Need to find street parking in the area or try the lot behind the store. They were super friendly too.

In an old grocery store turned famous for the doughnuts in a stick, it's worth a stop to support a local business that offers a big variety of treats. Malasadas, cream puffs and a variety of breads that are fluffy and tasty looking. We lucked out as there was only a couple of folks in front of us. On the weekends, I imagine it is busy. They have a small parking lot which was full of folks NOT in the store. Ugh! Luckily we were early which meant plenty of street parking. We tried all of our treats and my favorite is the vanilla custard malasada. They are generous with their filling and each of the items are fairly light. Oftentimes fried items become heavy once cooled. Not the cases here. Support this great local business!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

I did enjoy overall. The cinnamon roll was not hot from the oven, so I avoided disappointment. Next time I got the almond croissant. Pretty tasty. Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

The parking lot is a bit tight upon arrival, but you can definitely drive around the back and check for availability there. I was pleased to find the line wasn't outside the door. It was pretty busy inside, for good reason. Their pastries and food options looked spectacular. As I observed seated customers, everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and their treats. I was a little disappointed to see the pump bottles of syrup by the bar, as I would've loved to try a house made syrup. But nonetheless, I ordered a cortado with coconut milk and Mac nut flavoring. It was much smaller than I was used to from ordering cortados at other shops, but it was perfect. I wish I took a photo. Since I stopped by before returning my rental car in the afternoon, there wasn't that much of a wide variety of pastries left. However I was able to snag an Ube croissant. I saved it on my flight and ate it at home the following day. It remained super soft and fresh. The ube filling was light yet flavorful without being too sweet. The color was gorgeous. I'm not sure if you'll understand, but the croissant was flakey but not dry. It was airy, but still bready and full. It was hugeeee!! I'd compare it to half the size of my forearm lol. I only waited about 10 mins from entry to exit. After trying this shop, I would gladly wait outside on the steps if I had to. Can't wait to return and try some new items!!

Aloha fellow BES' Kine Goodies Seekers!…read more I LOVE MANUELA MALASADAS so.stop by every time I go to Costco! They are right across the street so I may drive to the lot right next to the truck or just run across the street ! It's a cute, very clean food truck right off the hotel driveway & parking lot with parking stalls right near it in case you buy a bunch to take home. Or have a car full of luggage from your flight to Maui since it's just down the way from OGG airport. Malasadas put donuts to shame!!! ESPECIALLY if you like gooey fillings & toppings. My favorite ones are around Christmas but they have tons of regular fillings. I can never get less than three because I can't pass up my chance to try new ones. They have wonderful staff... especially the manager Sabrina...really know their way around dough and they do not scrimp on the Malasadas itself or the fillings! They ONLY cook just for you... so plan a few minutes wait but they have picnic tables under a tarp right there or you can walk around the other food trucks. But definitely at least take your first bites there while they're hot out of the frier!!! 'Only ONE piece of advice: ... G O. H U N G R Y !!!! ...
