I tried the pain aux raisin at Bread Lounge, and it was honestly so good. The pastry had the perfect level of sweetness without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The raisins added a nice flavor, and there was a light glaze on top that gave it a slight crisp while still keeping the inside soft. There are so many options at Bread Lounge, so there's definitely something for everyone. But if you're not sure what to get or you're looking to try something new, I would definitely recommend this pastry.

First time trying their bakery. I liked the mushroom and feta cheese croissant. This one had salty and tangy taste, crumbly and grainy texture with perfectly seasoned mushrooms. I really enjoyed their croissant because it had flaky exterior that was crunchy when I bite into it, revealing its soft, buttery, and airy interior. I also got the ginger matcha scone that was moist and soft when I bite into it but I did not get ginger flavor or matcha flavor. Inside of this shop, it has high ceiling with good decorations and tables set up. Their parking lot is small and hard to park when there were big cars parked next to mine. It was hard to get in and out of that parking area. Service was good and fast.

I had been wanting to stop by Bread Lounge since my parents tried it and couldn't stop raving about it. I love love love bread and I really wanted to enjoy a meal here. So finally I stopped by on my day off and my goodness it was delightful. I decided to try ON THE BIRD: Spanish smoked paprika aïoli, turkey breast, red onion pickle, Brie and fresh spinach , Served with mixed baby greens salad and house pickles. I wanted to try it hot so I got it panini pressed on sourdough. You can have it cold and not n any bread you choose. It was so so good and freaking hot! lol so take small bites. It was so. Yummy. I can't believe I ate the entire sandwich. I highly recommend this spot and I can't wait to return!

This business hid my Google review about the amount of bugs on their pastries, dirty conditions, and massively overpriced food. Be warned that they do their best to hide and remove any negative reviews. The pastries in the case were CRAWLING with flies. When the staff moved their hands over them, *clouds* of flies - some fruit flies, some large flies- flew off. Genuine health hazard. Also, everything is overpriced! We paid about $50 for a meal for two - just sandwiches and drinks! It's a cafe, not a restaurant. There's no reason the prices should be this high for what you're getting. Also, the atmosphere sucks. It's all concrete and steel. When people move their chairs it fills the place with an awful screeching sound. The walls are bare safe for some paintings for sale off to the side. It's not inviting or pleasant to stay in for long. Avoid. And I would avoid the food they sell in other LA cafes too, given the conditions we saw here and the amount of bugs.

Great bread lounge. Finally tried this place. Nothing fancy but affordable and tasty. Only few menu but the bread/cake is so good. You can ask them to warm it up from the kitchen. They served wholesale and restaurant to keep retail price decent. Located toward the edge of art district. Price is very decent especially with whole bread cake sandwiches compared to lots of other places. They have parking and patio seating at the back of the building, thru the side past main entrance. Nice few seating area inside. Used to be the kitchen they said.

I came here for an afternoon lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Even at that time, parking was unavailable behind since the parking lot is super small. I ordered a ho barcelona hot sandwich that came with greens. The sandwich was delicious. There was a decent amount of chicken along with tomato spread + tomato chunks. The bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The addition of green sides helped with the heaviness of the sandwich. Overall, ~$15 was a reasonable price for the meal. The inside of the place was a cute industrial cafe with a window viewing their bread making area. I greatly enjoyed the food and will be back to try other items on their menu.

The staff at the counter was rude and impatient and not willing to handle a few transactions for me. You know you work for very famous bakery and there will be people coming from afar with a few orders for friends and relatives. Anyway ricotta croissant is MUST TRY. Absolutely delicious flaky buttery layers of goodness that the filling is not even relevant LoL. Skip the spinach. Asked for chocolate bakva and the man looked at me as if alien. Maybe seasonal. If so, he should know and just say it

Came here for a quick lunch while I was working from a coffeeshop nearby. Bread Lounge has indoor and outdoor seating and was busy at 12 pm on a Thursday. Prices for food are average for LA. They have a variety of lunch options including sandwiches and salads. I got the East is East sandwich and it was a solid, healthy and filling lunch. My food was served quickly. Servers were friendly. The ambiance is very casual, lighting for indoor seating is kind of dim.

Was looking for a good quality bread, found this place. The service is good, the bakery, pastries were just okay, little bit on the dry side, and bread-got 1 olive bread, and other olive bread white. They were just average..

I come here for the Shakshuka. They are known for their bread and pastries seeing that they are a bakery. They do sell some food items and coffee, but serve it in paper cups, I'm not a fan of having my coffee in a paper cup. The only coffee shops that I support serve their coffee in a ceramic cup. There is indoor and outdoor seating.when I initial started coming here in 2021 their Shakshuka's were delicious, the flavor of the tomato and the fried eggs sunny side up, delicious. I must say over the past 3 times I've come here the eggs have been fried well done which is not my preference. Al n all a good place to check out. #ViBN @kaliking806

The ham is rolled up and in the center of the croissant, so make sure you bite into it lengthwise to get the ham and cheese all together. Fantastically savory!!! Elderflower Rhubarb: Not as sweet as it appears to be!! Delicious--the elderflower notes come through as you chew, and the ratio of jam to bread is generous. Chocolate Hazelnut Pain au Suisse: Tasty, chocolatey, and hazelnut flavors throughout. Feels like a refined Ferrier Rocher wrapped in bread. Definitely needed water alongside this one because it's quite rich! This was a fun spot to try, and the vibes are beautiful, cozy, and quiet on a weekend morning! All three croissants had an insanely layered bite and excellent crunch/crisp. A bit pricey, but a fun place to try if you're in the mood for nice bread!

The key is to go on a weekday to avoid the line, as the weekend can definitely get busy. This last time I finally got to try the tofu cream topped croissant, which was ~to die for~. It was a little bit savory with the miso but still (not too) sweet. This felt super original and I would definitely recommend. I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. The drinks are also very good if you're looking to get a little extra treat as well.

I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

I expected a high-quality cupcake. The cupcakes looked cute, but they were as dry as the Sahara. They should have been labeled as white cupcakes as I didn't detect any vanilla in them. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be.
