Came here on a Saturday and it was emptied, probably because we came around 8pm. There's street parking and luckily it was late enough when we got there so there was parking up front. Before entering, you have to call them to open the door. There's a sign on there with their number. We purchased tickets online for axe throwing and check in was quick. Make sure to do the waiver online too. It'll be quicker so you can head on back to the axe throwing area. It was our first time so it was pretty interesting. We also saw that you can do both axe throwing and break room, which seemed pretty interesting too. My friends didn't want to rage so we did the next thing, axe throwing. lol They instruct you how to throw an axe and show you how as well. They'll also stand there to see you throw it before letting you be with your party. It was fun and a lot harder than it looks. Overall, we had fun figuring out what techniques work and what didn't for us. Definitely a unique experience and something different

This was such a great experience we even had to reschedule because we missed our first appointment and with that being said they were patient and kind and able to accommodate us when we came in. It was so nice. No one was there. We were the first customers with that also being said we had so much fun. The staff was great. We are definitely going to return because there's so much more. We did not get to explore. We loved it we got to bring some glass and it was such an exhilarating experience. I super recommend going to this location if you wanna have fun on a date or just fun in general

My dude and I did this for his Birthday this week. We were pretty unsure about it, but once we were in the room, we had a blast. I made a playlist for it and Sonia (I think?) helped me to connect my phone so we could destroy things to a proper soundtrack. There was also a tripod in the room, and the instructions were explained to us well. We did the 30 minute experience, and we brought our own box of bottles, on top of the 15 item per person box they include with your ticket. It was almost too much stuff! A warning: It gets hot. Especially in the summer. Even with the AC running, the amount of gear makes you heat up really fast, so dress lightly, and put that hair up in a ponytail!

First time going to a rage room, and we went to town in some kitchen wear. Bats, mallets, crowbars we used them all. My favorite was just throwing plates against the wall. I'm glad I did it, but not sure I'd want to go again. Maybe I'm just not a rager. Our package just included plates and cups, would have been nice to have more of a variety of items. The area around the place is a bit dodgy so try to find close parking.

We had a good time enjoying the rage room session! We did the 20 min session which was good enough time frame for our trio! Wish there other options of things to smash (coffee mugs only; but for an additional cost you can bring your own things to smash) Overall great time and would do this again! Want to try axe throwing next!

Really fun and creative quick thing to do . Did the break room where we got 30 mins for 15 items (x2 minus the time) It was a quick process , check in , get geared up , go break stuff . The room is empty and your items are already in there and you can connect to the speaker in there . It took us less than 30 mins to break it all, definitely don't need all that time but will probably try a different room, like the car wreck or something Either way , it was fun ... try it!

Came to Break Room for a last minute activity in lieu of our usual girl dinner and had a blast! My friend and I did the ax throwing and had loads of fun. We did not have reservations, but did call in advance to make sure we would be fine. Staff were very friendly, and they demonstrated us various throwing techniques, and checked in on us to see how we were doing. You could see the staff constantly cleaning. There's water and energy drinks for sale, and street parking right in front.

Came here with my daughter and husband in March 2023 for axe throwing. Used a Groupon deal and it went smooth. Staff was friendly and I like how you get your own semi-private section with one target board per person. Also thought it was cool they have white boards to keep track of score for the competitive spirits. Went back September 2023 with my cousins, husband and daughter for the September birthdays. We were initially going to do the rage room smashing ceramics and glass, but instead we opted to wreck a vehicle! Definitely was a bunch of fun for the 11 of us. Instead of smashing a handful of items in 20-30min we got to completely wreck a vehicle from like new to totaled in a span of an hour. They gave protective equipment: jumpsuit, plastic gloves and hardware gloves, & full face mask. Extra bonus is we got to play our own music which also hyped us up for the rage. It's without a question a big work out, we were all sore the next day. So worth it and would definitely come back again.

My GF and I took my 14 y/o daughter to check this out. This was our first time Axe throwing, so we were all a bit nervous, but that quickly dissipated once we started throwing. This is something that we had talked about doing quite often and the opportunity finally presented itself so we took it. To say that it's fun is a huge understatement because We Had A Blast! For those of you thinking about it, it is totally worth it! I would however, recommend that if you are a strong thrower, like we all were, to request the medium size axes instead of the small ones they initially give you. The heavier axe made a huge difference for all 3 of us! I must also mention that the price was also really inexpensive. $30 per person for an hour of throwing was very affordable. I must also add that an hour was more than adequate because it's a really great workout and we were Tired when we were done. We are definitely going to do this again in the near future! read more

Took 4 kids here today 2 13yr old and 2 11yr olds. We did the 20 minute rage room. It was an absolute blast ! The kids had so much fun and the staff was so kind and helpful . For sure recommend ! Large public parking lot on a side street . It's a pretty close walk read more

Really disappointed by the paint room and feel totally ripped off. Paid $75 for three people and what we got was the most watered down paint imaginable that you couldn't even see when it splattered on the wall, 3 tiny paint brushes that looked like they got it from the dollar store that you couldn't paint anything with because again the paint was so watered down it was unusable, and then a room with a completely busted drum set in it that I guess you were supposed to put paint on but it was so broken and the paint was so bad you could hardly do anything. The "coveralls" were $1 ponchos that didn't even cover you totally. I feel totally scammed and disappointed after getting this as a birthday present for my brother. read more

Unfortunatey I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Break Room LA. We booked a "Break Room" for my friends birthday and showed up super excited and on time for our appointment. We waited nearly half a hour. During this the staff explained to us that appointment times often get double booked with the axe throwing experience and we would have to wait for our turn. Because of the push back we were late for other birthday reservations and almost missed the dinner. After half a hour we were directed to pick our items from a extremely limited selection. I've included photos below but, I would venture to say the shelves were only about 10% full. I politely asked to have our wait time and limited selection compensated with extra points or possibly a discount on a future visit. The manager was not receptive in anyway to my grievances and treatedtalked to me very disrespectfully with attitude. All in all the time in the room was fun but unfortunately was so clouded by the customer service we left feeling very dissatisfied with our experience. We had a lot of friends inquire if they should sign up too and sadly we couldn't give our stamp of approval. Unless the business model of Break Room LA is intended to make customers more angry before their turn in the room I would say they fell short of their goals. I would not recommend this location or business. Would give zero stars if I was able. read more

One and done. For three ppl the price for the glow in dark room for 30 min is kinda pricey. Concept is cool, but room was extremely small, the size of a small bedroom. The temp was slightly warm. Our radio kept cutting off on us and we had to keep stoking and tell the team. They should always make sure radios are charged and working to avoid interruptions seeing we only get 30 min and pay an arm and a leg. With that being said it was definitely a one and done experience. But definitely get it out your system if you're itching lol. read more

Very shady business, tried to scam me out of over $400 - their website triple-charged me for a booking. The manager refused to speak with me but the staff member said they would process a refund. Later, via email, the manager told me not to tell my bank and offered a way lower refund of about 40% while saying he needed to keep a lot of the money as a "fee". Then, days of radio silence on their end, no replies to my followup emails - waiting me out. Thankfully I canceled my debit card right away and looped the bank in; which got me a full refund within 45 days due to the emails proving their sketchiness. I never write negative reviews but I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone - phone calls, emails, canceling my card and waiting 45 days for my bank appeal to come through. read more

I came here for the 20 minute rage room + unlimited axe throwing package on a Sunday afternoon. Location/Indoor Space: 3 out of 5 We were not able to find parking here in a lot. I think there was a lot dedicated to Break Room LA, but it all seemed full, so we didn't even try. Thankfully, we found street parking and it was free, because street parking with the meter does not charge on Sundays (yay, little victories). Inside, the space is a lot smaller than I had expected. It can be crammed, especially in the hallway area if there are multiple people walking by. I am hoping their HVAC system is cleaned and maintained to provide the best circulation. At the beginning of the hallway, there is a mirror, where you can take a mirror selfie. Of course, I took advantage of this, for sure! Axe Throwing: 3.5 out of 5 We were started off with the axe throwing. The staff walked us over and gave a few tips, as it was our first time. We got a few decent pictures and videos in addition to a few good aim. This was a great experience, especially for the first time. Each axe throwing station as 2-3 targets, so you can go as a small group and shoot your own targets together. When we went to check when we can go for our rage room appointment, they said we had 10 more minutes, as we had been throwing axe for 30 minutes already (total of 40 minutes). This was surprising to us, because the deal we got with the axe throwing did not state we were limited to 40 minutes. This lack of communication was rather disappointing. If we could, we would have definitely stayed longer. Rage Room: 2 out of 5 I really don't want to say it, but the rage room was a little disappointing. They didn't have anything but a crushed large trash can and a shards of glass everywhere. The room was small, too. I expected there to be additional things like old furniture, appliances, etc. Nada. They gave us cups, bowls, and mugs for us to break. We just dropped them onto the floor and/or hit them with the baseball bat and hammers that were provided. Also, it was incredibly hot in there. Under the protective suit and the face shield helmet that were provided, I was burning up in there. Needless to say, with the lack of things to hit/break and the heat and in the room, I was wanting to get out of there. Also, they sanitize the gear with spray, so 1) they have an unpleasant strong odor to them that will stick onto you till you shower and wash your clothes, and 2) if you are sensitive to such odors, it may give you a headache or other symptoms associated with high sensory sensitivity. That being said, I don't know how effective spraying these gear is against fighting germs. For all we know, they may be senselessly spraying ineffectively. For these reasons, I advise future guests to engage at your own discretion. read more

It was a great experience. They provided the safety gear and the bat as well as things to break. We just had to show up ready to have fun. We will definitely be going back for more. 20 minutes was the perfect amount of time for two of us to break everything and get video memories. read more

I love break room LA. I've always had a great experience here. My two start review is for the guy who was supposed to be helping us. Should've asked his name but he was young with dark curly hair. He was rude and unhelpful and charged me a fee without explaining to me what it was. It was my girlfriends first time and he didn't explain anything about the equipment we had to wear. He just stood there silently. Like at least pretend to care. It made the vibes pretty weird. I think he needs better training on customer service. read more

I've been dying to go to a rage room and I'm so happy I came across this one ! The staff member who helped us was super friendly great customer service. Cleanliness was great as well . My best friend and I purchased the 30 min package for the rage room , and it was awesome ! You can connect your phone and play your own music on the speaker and the room was a pretty good sized room! I wish there were kind of bigger items to smash , like vases and stuff but that isn't really too big of an issue, we had lots of glasses and plates to choose from ! Had a great time , and honestly I might go back tomorrow! read more

We recently went for Valentines Day. They were very sanitary, wore their masks, and had a lot of wipes and hand sanitizer available. The two front desk people were really attentive. The woman helped us get into our gear and was super friendly! I would recommend going when they are barely opening for the best experience. We tried both the paint room and the break room. It was an incredible and fun experience! We blasted some Meg the Stallion on their Bluetooth speakers! Lol. Amazing!!!! You are able to buy extra things on the side to break too. I bought a flat screen TV for $70. Overall awesome experience! And would definitely recommend and want to go back! read more

I appreciate that Break Room LA is open during COVID times, because smashing a bunch of glass and ceramics and denting a bunch of metal is very satisfying, especially with all the hard things everyone has had to navigate this year. My friends and I tried the axe throwing too, which was a decent workout (I suck at axe throwing but managed to get the blade into the wood one time in one hour LOL). The staff is really friendly too. Came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday and it was a blast! The staff was super welcoming right when we walked through the door and made us excited to throw some axes!! Again, first time so special shout out Brad and Ren for coaching us and showing us some axe trick shots and just being awesome!! Checking in was fast and easy, gave us a brief intro and checked in on us time to time and showed us some new tricks too! Was a little iffy about their safety and sanitation protocols but they maintained COVID-19 guidelines. Called beforehand for some info and it was reassuring to know that they were operating at limited capacity. It was super easy to make a reservation on their website. Restrooms and hand sanitizer were readily available. Reasonably priced and a great activity during this time. They also have non alcoholic drinks and play super fun music. Unique place with enthusiastic staff, you gotta visit them and see all the fun for yourself. We only tried axe throwing so we cant wait to come back and break some stuff and have some more fun!! read more

This place is a scam. It doesn't look like much on the outside and you should not get your expectations up as it relates to the inside. My son and I paid $45 dollar a piece to go get our smash on. To my surprise they put us in a room and gave us 10 mason jars and 2 plates. That is what we paid almost a hundred dollars to smash. I was highly upset as I could have picked up the aforementioned items from Amazon for $5. Don't go. read more

It was my birthday 3-5- so went on a Tuesday- the girls were AMAZING! They Greeted us (my son& I) felt comfortable they explained how everything works. It our first time here. We were a little nervous but the girls change it. Made us feel welcomed. We are definitely coming back & smashing a whole car. !!!! Can't wait. This place is so cool! Bought an axe throwing session for 1 hour, and was getting the hang of it! Not that hard. Was greeted at the front with friendly and patient staff that taught us and gave us helpful tips to axe throw. Took about 20 mins to get the hang of it. I was gifted a session at this place as a birthday gift. All videos of experiences here included different objects, computers, cars and such which you can let loose on. We showed up and put on our jumpsuits and face shields, we're taken into a room and we're told not to hit the speaker or anything on the ceiling. The room was basically empty aside from a barrel. We asked were the stuff was which we could smash and she pointed to a crate which was sitting against the wall. The crate had a few drinking glasses and a few glass bottles in it. I remarked that we could've done this for free in the alley down the street from our apartment. We asked about there being more stuff, was told that you can get more stuff to break as upgrades. We asked about upgrading and we're told we couldn't. The girl who was "helping us" couldn't have cared less about any of it. We broke the items in the crate and left. No one asked about our experience. Absolutely not worth it. Do not recommend. read more

We came to this place with a Groupon. The price was solid but you get what you pay for. Thought the axes could have been a little sharper. Plus, the wooden boards were well worn. I guess if you're looking for something cheap-ish and something to pass the time, would recommend but I'll likely try something else before I head back here. read more

I personally don't trust how well they clean and disinfect the head masks, that's why I didn't try it. The arcade area was pretty limited in terms of games but they're always a good activity to do as an alternative from the other activities that have lines. Didn't get to try the mini-golf or the "bowling" area due to time. I like the outdoor patio and the ambiance of the string lights when you want to get some fresh air. Lots of families seated wherever they wanted and kids had a lot of stuff to play around with. Looking to see how this spot will compete with Round1 opening up soon in the mall. The water cup station is super handy, but they didn't want to refill the waters near the end of the night and the cups also, so we had to ask at the bar. I like that there's a good amount of staffing here who were all working hard. There's a few bathrooms spread out in the place. Parking is big in the back, just gets pretty dark.

Marc, the owner, was very nice and kind. He even allowed me to do a special request where I wore an outfit (which is a Morpshuit with t-shirt and shorts) underneath the gear used for the rage room. Shattering glass, and breaking things felt very liberating and it helped me release tension/anger. Additionally, at the very end, there was even another surprise where Marc even taught me how to throw ninja stars on the wooden board. It was super cool. At first, I couldn't get any ninja stars to stick, but on one of my final attempts, I actually did get the ninja star to stick, which was awesome!! I was pretty elated that I was able to do that! Anyways, shout out to Marc the owner for being very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cool, friendly place to do a rage room or an escape room. I understand it may be sketchy to go to a customer's car to evaluate items brought from home since it could be a risk to the staff, but I think it could either be instructed earlier before arrival OR simply just state that you cannot leave the business. The delivery of the comment made by the staff was not very smooth (almost felt like implying we were bringing something bad or wrong). - A timer inside the room might be helpful as it's hard to keep track of time once you're destroying things. - Phone "mount" could be better secured with a clasp or something because one bump and our phone fell on the ground where there's shards and scraps everywhere. This could have easily scratched the phone. - Room felt cramped, but understand that may be limited by the size of the store space. - Half of the group was arriving late, in which I shared upfront and thought that the staff would assist in getting them as ready as possible before our first group came out to swap, but when I came out, I saw that they had not even begun to change. I understand the face shield and gloves are limited quantities, but they could have started fitting in the other items like jumpsuit and face coverings. - Also as we were swapping, I ended up giving the second group the instructions when it really should have been the staff to give them the run through. It felt very disorganized during the swapping. For the price, I think it would be nice if each group received at least one larger item and not just cups, plates, and glass. All-in-all, it was fun to let out some rage by wrecking things and not having to clean it up. My friends and I did enjoy this different experience. Also fun to watch them from the room cam inside the Axe Room as they rage.

I would give this place -1000 stars if I could. Hi, I'm 11 years old and I thought it would be fun to go here but I also had concerns but regardless my dad and I went here are just a few things that I thought made this place suck worse then having a thorn in your leg. when we first arrived you could tell the staff wasn't paying attention and didn't open the door despite having a camera until 10 minutes later when we called them second none of the equipment fit or actually protected me even though it is supposed to be safe and kids are allowed. then with 80$ down the hatch I got to break a whopping 8 fake material items also the staff were mean and no medical training then when we got into the room I cut myself rightaway half the things in the BREAKROOM you couldn't break and the barrel to hold things was bent in half and the weapons were not suitable i would recommend RAGEGROUND IN DOWNTOWN LA and this review is only half the things that went wrong don't go here unless you want to waste money and come out more furious than before. read more

Our experience at the break room was such a blast! The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and really informative, which made the whole experience even better. We went to celebrate my sister's birthday with a group of 5, and it was such a unique way to have fun. We started off in the break room, hooked up our phones to Bluetooth, and got to play music while smashing plates and cups--so satisfying! The only downside was that I wish there had been more variety of items to smash. For the price we paid, it would've been great to have a wider selection. After that, we headed to the paint room, and that was such a fun experience! We threw glow-in-the-dark paint at each other, which was a total blast. One thing I wish was different, though, is that I would have loved to have a blank canvas to see the masterpiece we created. Everything in the room was already splattered with paint before we got there, so it was hard to tell what we'd done. But despite these little things, we had an awesome night and made some great memories! read more

I recently visited the break room, and to be honest, it was quite underwhelming. I was expecting a lively and engaging space, perhaps something similar to the advertisements showcasing people smashing a car and having a blast. However, what I encountered was just an empty room with minimal setup. Inside, there was a crate of ceramic cups in a container and a large plastic barrel. That's about it. The lack of activities or engaging elements was disappointing. I was hoping for a more immersive experience, but it felt more like a storage space than a fun break room. Overall, I left feeling like the break room could use a lot more creativity and excitement to meet expectations. Break room LA was pretty cool for the most part. Customer service was really good and the organization was perfect. I wish they had more then just glass cups. I was told the package that was $45 for 20 min you would have glass plates cup and a few other glass items to break but all they had was about 10 glass cups. I paid for a tv because it just wasn't enough. Great place though :) read more
