My Bf Birthday just passed and since We 're constantly on the go go go so much on a daily basis. I thought that this will be a good way to release some stress and start our week.It is There's St parking and a city parking lot for the area it is fully I decided to get us the 20mins session each for the breakroom, they provide a jumpsuit to put over your clothing along with a face shield. They have the break weapon of choice nicely lined up against the wall. Its a break room guys dint expect this place to be nice and clean,Theres graffiti all over the walls the music is loud. They also provide you with an empty bin for your stuff that you get to place in the room with you I brought extra shoes and my purse that went into the bin. Your allowed to use your phone at your risk Lol and attach it to the bluetooth speaker to play your music of choice. Overall I had a good time 20 mins was just enough to get the stress off my shoulders and start my week off Right. Ill be back See you all soon. xoxo read more

Customer service was great and the whole set up was so cool. I definitely enjoyed the rage room! The only thing that should be different is more objects or bigger ones to destroy. Other than that I loved it and this was my kind of therapy. If you have some anger to let out this is definitely the spot. read more

We parked in front of Break Room LA and it looked closed from the outside. We walked up to the door and had to ring a doorbell for them to unlock the door. It's mainly for safety reasons. We walked in and the check in process was quick and easy. The entire place is so decorated and full of many opportunities to take photos. I really love the vibe and ambiance of this place. We did the rage room for 20 minutes. We wore protective body and head gear. Overall, I would go here again. I had a really good time with my friends and they say the same. It gets really hot smashing the items and what not but it's a pretty good quick workout and I'm all for working out the body :) read more

Thank goodness for advertising, as I may have never know this place existed just passing by. It is kind of in a location, where you certainly wouldn't be looking for it on a commercial street with a lot of small businesses. Once you are inside, you will encounter the friendly staff, who will have you sign a brief waiver and then give you a quick set of instructions before you partake in your activity. We learned that there are a lot of different activities here; however, today we booked a 1 hour axe throwing session for 2. We were taken near the back of the building (all the activities are still indoors) and were given a double lane and two axes. My initial thoughts is that one hour is a very long time; however, I quickly learned that the hour actually goes quite fast. This is my first time throwing axes, so it took a little while to get it down. Overall, this was an amazing activity in a great environment. My record, in case you want to know, was about 70% hit rate using two hands; however, my one handed throw needs practice, as that was only at about a 5% hit rate. We had a great day, and would definitely return again for this or another fun activity. read more

Loved wrecking shop as the Birthday Girl. An excellent idea to celebrate my "BORN DAY". Albert is a rockstar. I had my playlist ready to RaGe and TrAsH my rented wreck room. There's various options here. Throwing axes for target practice or splashing bright neon paint over a music setup. I preferred the destruction of coffee mugs, cognac & wine glasses. I had 2 crow bars, 2 baseball bats and a hammer to aid in my rage session. I could not think of better devices to tear up some s#@$! The fax/printer machine was tempting; its priced at 250. They provided bottled water because the jumpsuit paired with the helmet became a little steamy ( similar to an easy bake oven) during the rage session. It is important to stay hydrated when your adrenaline is on high. You can adjust the helmet using a gear located in the rear area of the helmet. I'll never forget the memorable quote of the day: "OH WAIT! ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY, LET'S THROW IN A FREE PLASMA TV FOR YOUR WRECK SESSION" read more

Break Room LA was nothing what I expected and was actually very disappointing, in my opinion. I expected a room that would have a variety of items to break. Instead, you get a small crate that literally has mugs and glasses that look like they were purchased at the 99 cent store. You also get a bat and some crowbars to use to break everything. My husband and daughter went with me, and we were all done within 10 mins. I honestly do not think it was worth the $135 for us three. Such a rip-off! The staff weren't very friendly and didn't really explain things. We were kind of just given the crate and put into a room. The gear that you wear smells and the helmets were broken. We only did the rage room and not the other things they offered. I would most definitely not be returning. I can go buy 99 cent breakables and throw them in my backyard for way less!! read more

A fun, cathartic experience! You are provided with gloves, headgear, and a jumper to cover your clothes. You are also provided with glass, ceramic and other items to break. In our room there were two baseball bats, two crow bars, and vat to place the items you want to hit (you can also hit the vat too). Giving it four stars because 1) It took a while for our Bluetooth to connect and in the middle of the session it disconnected. We were able to connect it but did disrupt the flow a bit/take some time. 2) Outside of the room (where you sign in and get your protective gear) it is super loud with their own music. I am not sure why that is, but it was hard to hear the staff that was giving us instructions, and she seemed a bit annoyed when we could not hear her. Even with those hiccups, it was a fun experience overall.I definitely want to plan again! read more

Such a fun place. The people were very helpful and everything was ready for us when we arrived. It was so much fun to smash things up. The only thing I would change is in the variety if things to smash. Online it looked like we'd get to smash different items but, while we had plenty to smash, all the items were the same. read more

I took my boyfriend and his friends here for his birthday last year for the classic glass and plate breaking package. Overall, it was a positive experience, however I have some suggestions. It took us multiple tries to hook up to the bluetooth speaker because there are just too many speakers in the facility that are unclearly named. I feel like that technical difficulty really dampened our fun at the start. Once we got to throwing and smashing, none of the guests felt 100% safe in the gear we had been provided. The back and top of our heads were exposed, as well as our ankles (tall problems). The glass items were sometimes so strong that they would ricochet off the wall or floor back at us and not break. Plus, we were pulling glass out of the soles of our shoes after we left. I think these issues could be solved with a little more time with the attendee at the beginning to make sure the room and tech is working for us before the timer starts, plus an advisory on the website to wear very hearty boots and long thick socks. read more

The vibe of this place has much more of an urban apocalypse vibe than a backwoods one. I can only speak for the Axe-throwing side of it - the smashing of things doesn't hold much appeal for me. There are definitely fancier axe parlors in the area, but none that are more comfortable. THEY LEAVE YOU THE F. ALONE, which I totally appreciate. I'm sure they are more attentive for novices, but they don't hover and make you play a bunch of silly games. You're pretty much on your own to play how you like. One thing I especially like is the layout - each party gets its own area with 2 or 3 targets. You can take turns on one, or throw at the same time WATL-style. Without all the BS of some of the other places, my friend and I got in maybe 50-100 throws each in out loosely timed hour. The targets are in pretty good shape. 2 of ours were pretty fare gone, but one was almost new. The level axe-bro energy is pretty low. The block its on is pretty shabby, but don't be intimidated. There are actually some great restaurants within just a few blocks. Lots of metered parking all around. read more

A wonderful timensmashingbbottles, glasses, cups and throwing axes trying to hit dead center on the target = spectacular birthday and graduation gifts! Manager Alberto and staff were wonderfully accommodating a delayed appointment time due to an unknown parade blocking street access to all sides. We had so much fun! We spent my boyfriend's birthday here. The staff was so nice. They're all young and energetic. They replace the boards when it gets too beat up. The axes aren't actually sharp so you don't have much of a chance of cutting yourself BUT they do ricochet back so just be wary of your ace post throw. read more

We bought the rage room they gave us 15 cups to break for about 150 dollars. I was expecting more to break because I also upgraded. And if you break their speaker on accident it cost $1000???? It's a 150 dollar speaker. Would not recommend read more

Complete waste of money. Paid 90$ to break a few wine glasses then got charged 30$ because a piece of molding came off the wall. the room is completely empty, nothing to do, was bored after 2 minutes. Just go in your backyard save yourself the money. Also a girl named sonya made sure we left angry instead of leaving with some sort of catharsis. read more

Staff was awesome & very helpful! The whole experience was very therapeutical! Yes, it gets hot in the break room but what do you expect. Your breaking, hitting stuff, & letting out some steam so expect to sweat because for your safety you have to wear 2 sets of gloves, a big jumpsuit ,head & eye gear. Definitely will be back for more fun & the different options they have. Highly recommend! read more

If the goal of a rage room was to alleviate your anger, this place definitely did not accomplish what they set out to do. In fact, I walked out of the place angrier than I went in. Not a good sign. I had gotten a voucher from my dad for Christmas that was enough to cover two 20 minute session admission tickets for me and my little sister, who I do all sorts of crazy fun shit with. Since this was our first time to a rage room, I said " why not spoil ourselves and upgrade to the 30 min slot got a few extra bucks! " Yeah, that was pointless. You get in there, saddle up in a hazmat suit with protective shield, and pick your box of stuff to break before entering a bare graffiti'd room filled with the refuse of the paying suckers of hours, days, maybe weeks ago. It's cool to be able to play your own music and slash things with a mallet and crowbar. But the two of us managed to empty our one " medium " sized crate in five minutes. When we saw our crate was getting empty, we started gingerly just picking one item at a time, daintily put it on the barrel and take turns breaking apart each cup a little at a time to stretch out our 30 minutes. When it became clear that we were spending 85% of our time TRYING to find scraps on the ground to break, we caved in and bought another crate for another $30!!!! What the hell! And guess how long it took us to get through that. I cannot speak for their axe throwing. But as a rage room it's an absolute ripoff. You're better off buying a bunch of cheap glass and ceramics from the 99 cent store and finding an abandoned office space than wasting your money here. read more

This was so fun! We did axe throwing for 45 minutes and the paint room for 20. At first I thought paint time was too short and axe throwing was too long but it turned out to be a perfect amount of time. This is a great spot for friends, dates, or team bonding. read more

I had never heard of Break Room LA and I'm so happy I discovered it on Groupon. I met a friend there and we purchased two 1-hour axe throwing packages. The place is hard to find as it's on a busy street but I parked on a side street and called them and they helped me to find the storefront. The staff members were so friendly and informative. They (and us) wore masks due to Covid-19 and hand sanitizer was on the side to use as needed. A staff member showed us their other rooms- per request- and they have the room to break things and coming soon they will have a splatter paint room. The break room looks awesome- I think you can bring your own items to break or purchase there and they give you all the necessary protective equipment to wear. For axe-throwing, it was definitely harder than I imagined but I did get it close or in the target quite a few times! A patient instructor showed my friend and I what to do, gave us pointers and answered any of our questions and then we were allowed to go ahead and practice throwing. He stood by for any additional questions. There were only 2 other people there so we were able to spread out over a few stalls (each stall is separated by wire gate so good for social distancing). I loved the ambiance, the decor, the workout my arms got and I'm so glad I got to experience axe-throwing! Would recommend Break Room LA! read more

We were so excited to smash all the tv's, phones, and lots of other junk but instead we were given 2 small crates of mason jars, plates and beer bottles for us to break for 3 people. I paid $200 for 30 minutes but we were done in 15 min because there wasn't even enough stuff for us to break for another 15 minutes...You're put in a small empty room, nothing at all what the videos show of you smashing electronic everywhere. I felt like it's kind of SCAM for 15 minutes of plate smashing. Extra star because it was kinda fun for the 10-15 minutes we had stuff but total rip off for charging us 30 minutes of smashing with not even enough stuff to smash. $200 for 3 people should not be given the same amount of stuff for 15 minute sessions. This should have included electronics or more items FOR SURE. read more

Not worth the price. They were out of everything except mugs. We even tried to pay extra to get bigger items but were told Valentine's weekend cleared them out. I wish they would have told us when my boyfriend called earlier in the day because we would have rescheduled. Anyway, we left halfway thru our 30 min time limit because it really doesn't take long to break a few mugs lol If you're reading this and looking for a dope rage room -- go to Rage Ground in DTLA, this spot was sadly a total let down. read more

This place is a lot of fun. It was a great stress reliever for my daughter and me. The only things I wish were a little different is the black light in the paint room to be brighter. We filmed the whole thing and it was a bit dark. I would say if you have a little tripod that you want to bring to film, bringing it. People have accidentally beat the hell out of theirs When we went into the break room I wish I would have known that you can get mirrors, computers, and a bunch of other stuff to destroy. So we had just the basket of cups and glasses. Then when we were almost out we beat the hell out of the barrel We are definitely going to go back. I have to learn how to axe throw read more

Yeah they were having power outages but still let us book the reservation any way. And when we said we want our money back they said they would charge us $25. This all happened within an hour- we booked it online and they immediately contacted us to say we're having power outages and you can't have your money back without paying $25 read more

My GF and I took my 14 y/o daughter to check this out. This was our first time Axe throwing, so we were all a bit nervous, but that quickly dissipated once we started throwing. This is something that we had talked about doing quite often and the opportunity finally presented itself so we took it. To say that it's fun is a huge understatement because We Had A Blast! For those of you thinking about it, it is totally worth it! I would however, recommend that if you are a strong thrower, like we all were, to request the medium size axes instead of the small ones they initially give you. The heavier axe made a huge difference for all 3 of us! I must also mention that the price was also really inexpensive. $30 per person for an hour of throwing was very affordable. I must also add that an hour was more than adequate because it's a really great workout and we were Tired when we were done. We are definitely going to do this again in the near future! read more

I would give this place -1000 stars if I could. Hi, I'm 11 years old and I thought it would be fun to go here but I also had concerns but regardless my dad and I went here are just a few things that I thought made this place suck worse then having a thorn in your leg. when we first arrived you could tell the staff wasn't paying attention and didn't open the door despite having a camera until 10 minutes later when we called them second none of the equipment fit or actually protected me even though it is supposed to be safe and kids are allowed. then with 80$ down the hatch I got to break a whopping 8 fake material items also the staff were mean and no medical training then when we got into the room I cut myself rightaway half the things in the BREAKROOM you couldn't break and the barrel to hold things was bent in half and the weapons were not suitable i would recommend RAGEGROUND IN DOWNTOWN LA and this review is only half the things that went wrong don't go here unless you want to waste money and come out more furious than before. read more

Our experience at the break room was such a blast! The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and really informative, which made the whole experience even better. We went to celebrate my sister's birthday with a group of 5, and it was such a unique way to have fun. We started off in the break room, hooked up our phones to Bluetooth, and got to play music while smashing plates and cups--so satisfying! The only downside was that I wish there had been more variety of items to smash. For the price we paid, it would've been great to have a wider selection. After that, we headed to the paint room, and that was such a fun experience! We threw glow-in-the-dark paint at each other, which was a total blast. One thing I wish was different, though, is that I would have loved to have a blank canvas to see the masterpiece we created. Everything in the room was already splattered with paint before we got there, so it was hard to tell what we'd done. But despite these little things, we had an awesome night and made some great memories! read more

I recently visited the break room, and to be honest, it was quite underwhelming. I was expecting a lively and engaging space, perhaps something similar to the advertisements showcasing people smashing a car and having a blast. However, what I encountered was just an empty room with minimal setup. Inside, there was a crate of ceramic cups in a container and a large plastic barrel. That's about it. The lack of activities or engaging elements was disappointing. I was hoping for a more immersive experience, but it felt more like a storage space than a fun break room. Overall, I left feeling like the break room could use a lot more creativity and excitement to meet expectations. Break room LA was pretty cool for the most part. Customer service was really good and the organization was perfect. I wish they had more then just glass cups. I was told the package that was $45 for 20 min you would have glass plates cup and a few other glass items to break but all they had was about 10 glass cups. I paid for a tv because it just wasn't enough. Great place though :) read more

The game master then tried to blame our few-minute delay for the situation, which was ridiculous. Even if we had arrived exactly at 8:00, our room still wouldn't have been ready until around 9:00 PM--the time our game was supposed to end. We've completed 60+ escape rooms, and we've never experienced anything like this. What made the experience even worse was the terrible customer service. Instead of taking accountability for their scheduling failures, the staff acted like this was normal and didn't want to issue a refund, despite being unable to provide the experience we paid for. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers' time made this by far the worst escape room experience we've ever had.
