To begin being greeted at the door by bouncers who look like they themselves want to start trouble was a major clue this place sucks. When you walk into a place that pats you down you know something has happened here before and you don't want to be there. Hey here's a tip: you should be patting down women equally as men.. duh. Service was terrible from the female bartenders as it was slow, lack of smile or greeting and waiting was unacceptable with few patrons in there. As night went on the crowd was a mix of people from all walks of life. I could see trouble brewing. I watched a group of men get trashed and a group of women get in everyone's personal space. Food was sub par and worse than dive bar eats. Won't be back. Not a safe environment for anyone. Music was decent and that's all. Prices average. Breakers sky lounge has some of best pool tables in the area and they take good care of them. It's a great place to play in thier many pool leagues and tournaments. The managment does a good job running the leagues. They host APA 8ball, APA 9 ball and TAP 9ball leagues. The food is really good, I recommend the Pittsburgh Burger. They have great happy hour with a different menu on special every day. They also host many other events like karaoke, paint nights, poker tournaments, company functions, and dart competitions. read more

Had a great time at a company sponsored happy hour at Breakers not long ago. I had been there sometime ago and was very impressed that they are better than ever. We played pool and karaoke among other things. We enjoyed a preselected buffet of appetizers. Everything was great. The waitresses and bartenders were awesome. The service was great. All in all the entire group from the office had a wonderful time. read more

OMG!! worst place to go! Worst food (all frozen), WORST service EVER! These people here do NOT know how to treat customers!! We advised the owner we'd be have a birthday party with 40+ guest. Since this place is ALWAYS EMPTY, we'd figure decent place to go wih our big crowd. They stated $5 cover charge at the door AFTER 9PM! However, our friends go there at 8:40 and they said "do you want to get in or NOT??" Therefore, made EVERYONE of our 40+ guest paid. NOT TO MENTION ***** THEY STATED GUESTS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 CAN GET IN BUT NEED TO PAY $50 per person TO ENTER! THIS PLACE WILL EVENTUALLY GO DOWN. Been coming here for a few years and the tables are decent.. service is decent.. but I must say, saturday night dj just doesnt cut it. Never complained before but this time.. he was particularly a jerk..especially on 04/06/13.. so just had to write this review. The music playing on the regular system was better. Dance floor was dead and were only 3 tables taken by the dance floor, including us. The music the dj decided to play was more of a slow steady beat which was different from wut was playing on the system which is also the system that made us want to go dance.,. but then dj came and completely ruined the mood. We requested for him to pick up the beat some but almost in a mocking way.. he just made it worse. The table next to us even went and made a request to the dj.. but then he started playing low beat songs from the 80's..90's!! I asked the table next to us if that's wut he requested and he said no... I just asked him to play something fast beat so me and my girlfriend can dance. they tried to dance to the music playing but then gave up. 3 tables, empty dance floor.. and this jerk was messing with the few customers he had. First time here to attend a Birthday Party for a friend weeks ago, it was fun and lively. Did not feel the pinch on the expenses of beer and food it was taken care of the celebrant. Skylounge(Smoking Lounge), did not bother to go up since I quit smoking years ago. Music blaring you can feel the vibration or the base from the speakers . Meet some odd and interesting people on the dance floor but not totally weird or lewd. Food was good and decent and replace every 30 mins. to put some more food. This place is a strange mix of a billiards pool hall with a very stocked bar, a wannabe club, karaoke nights, and a fancy name "Sky Lounge" that give you the intention that is going to be some cool Vegas venue. They do have good pool tourneys and the tables are nice so will give them props there, they even know how to mix drinks at the bar. They lack in their food, so don't waste your money on the food and eat before you come. Its your typical bar food but not good. They do have a very large dance floor(not sure for what) as they do not get packed at all, and then a very amazing light show as if they were a real club. I think they should invest less in ligthing and more in venue improvement and marketing. It has potential, its a very large venue, just a little old/rundown. Their karaoke nights used to be kind of successfful until Chics and Wings opened up in the shopping center up one block and now most people go there. Not sure what to think of this place. I would go to play pool and drink but thats about it. read more

This place is a lot of fun. Not the best bar I've ever been to, but in a town like Herndon, it's hard to find any other better solutions. Drinks are always strong (+) and specials are great (+). I enjoy this bar. The downstairs portion is huge, meaning a lot of space to actually walk around or talk to friends/coworkers. However, this area usually looks completely dead, as opposed to the smoking section upstairs which is always packed. Don't judge it based on the non-smoking section that looks like a ghost-town. Management is generally non-existant from what I've seen, and I've never tried the food. read more

I was excited to come here and grab some bar food and have a beer. My friend and I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes before being acknowledged. When the bartender did come talk to us, he wasn't very friendly. He didn't mention any of the specials or really want anything to do with us. When he poured our beer, he poured the wrong beer - not a big deal, just unusual. I had to ask for a menu and to order food - even though we came during dinnertime. I ordered wings and the bartender just said okay -I had to ask if there were even different flavors. When they came out, they looked pretty bad. They had barely any meat on them and they were pretty bad - super crispy and really tough. I'm no wing snob, but they were really bad. We had to flag the bartender down for our tab to close out - it was a Wednesday and there weren't ten people (including us) in the whole joint, yet the bartender only came by three times. I will try again because it is close to my apartment, but I was extremely disappointed. Hopefully next time will be better service and better food. read more

Went here for poker on Tuesday. Not a bad space, lots of pool tables and dart boards. Have the nice megatouch and other electronic games. Aestheically great. The service, however, is horrendous. 1 bartender smoking at the end of the bar watching the only one, well, I'm not sure what the other one was doing. He was just staring at the computer screen completly ignoring anyone that he didn't know. I'll go back b/c I like the venue, I'll just not go back thirsty or hungry. We went to Breakers Sky Lounge the other night and had a great time. The Johnny Artis Band was playing and the music was outstanding!! The place is very large with plenty of room for dancing. The bartender was really nice and service was great. I like the fact that they have Karaoke some nights. I also saw that they play poker on some nights too. This is a great place to just hang out to get away or if you're just in the area including or traveling Not only do they have sports night they also have karaoke a great well-stocked bar and wonderful bartenders . After being carded by the bouncer, my brother,a friend and I had to show our IDs to the bartender before he would give us our beers. Having asked the bartender for 3 pints (16 oz glasses) of budwieser, he brought us 3 skimped glasses of beer. When I asked whether he could fill up the glass to the rim, as the foam was an inch short of the rim, he tried to explain to me about the "head" on beer and these were 22 oz glasses anyways. Reluctant to explain the physics of shapes and show him that he brought us a pints amount of beer poured into a larger glass, I asked him again to just fill up the glass as he was charging us for a larger glass anyways. Rather than being reasonable, he tells us the beers cost 15.75 and upon handing him a 20, signals to the bouncer and tells him that my brother and I are leaving. All in all, he got the order wrong, didnt know how to pour a beer, was very rude, and pretty much jacked us for 20 bucks as we weren't allowed to drink the beers he brought us. We were sober when we showed up and sober when we left. Will never go there again. read more

I have been going to Breakers for almost 4 years...and i used to go often. I have even had a birthday party there. And recenty they have hired a new management..someone who in my opinion does not know how to run an establishment and keep customers. With this being said i returned to breakers the other day...not to eat or play pool but to hang out...before i had even began to think about having a drink they pressured me into buying something and when i declined they asked me to leave and not to return....if your looking for a place in herndon where you can smoke drink and play pool all in one place i would never again recomend this "sky lounge" as they are disrespectful and the new management is on a power-trip...i would instead recomend house of wings which is less than 5 minutes away where everyone from the host to the bartender are pleasant every time.
